That reminds me of "A Dangerous Face and an Almost Illegal Taste" for some reason. XD
tehe Sameys. It confuses me sometimes when I have to mention it.

Like I write it as Ageless Days and An Ageless Face before I realize how repetitive it is lmfao

I like the idea of using song titles or lyrics. I just think that they shouldn't be like really popular or anything. Make it something unique that not a lot of people would think to use. Make you're readers have to kind of wonder a little. I do, however, think that it's okay to use main stream songs as chapter titles. You don't really have to worry about that screwing with people's searches...

All Hope I was sort of struggling to name, but I finally got the idea from the phrase all hope is gone. I think it fits really well because the girl was feeling so helpless and lost, but the boy wanted her to be able to see past all that and accept what happened and move on. So it's both very hopeful and hopeless at the same time, hence "All Hope."

I got the title of Of Rhinos and Griffins from the childhood nicknames of the two main characters. I just like how it doesn't really make sense and has absolutely nothing to do with the plot, but it's still perfect for the story. Kind of. It just fits.

Besides, it's not like I could think of anything better. tehe I am truly terrible at coming up with titles.

    OMFG IT MAKES SENSE NOW
    Hail

I named my new three-shot after the Queen song because the line, "This is ourselves under pressure" was so, so perfect for the story. And, also, because "Under Pressure" as a phrase itself has a somewhat sexual connotation Naughty

The title of my one shot that I am making into a full length story is Free. The story is about an interracial girl in the 1800's. She spends most of her time in the house cleaning because of her skin tone and she meets Eli Deveraux and he tells her he can give her freedom. He offers it in the form of becoming a vampire. It was simple and it fit the story perfectly in my opinion.

I really can't stand chat speak or some other kind of garbled titles that just don't make sense when you read them.

    Example: U Lyk Dis 1

I bang my head whenever I see stuff like that. >.>

Confusion is the Strongest Emotion was taken from a line in the story. It was originally titled The Part Where You Let Go after the song that inspired it, but then the story ended up lasting only 18 months and not 7+ years, like originally planned. Then it became The Flight of Dorothy Gale, but it seemed almost forced since there's not a single mention of Oz in the story.

Make Me a Miracle was a very organic title that came to me as soon as the story was completed because there is a discussion of miracles at both the beginning and the end.

The Last Safe Place on Earth was, again, very organic. It seemed to capture all the emotions Ryan was feeling.

Swan Dives & Swan Necks came from the opening paragraph of the story. I liked the idea it painted in my head.

& We Die of Broken Things Like Hearts came from a line in a song that I discovered while writing the story. The words from the song became the opening of the story and I thought it just captured so fucking much of what the story was about.

It's All Over but the Crying is the name of a song by Garbage. And I normally hate the idea of naming stories after songs, but I've softened up on this stance a lot. It worked with this story because it pretty much summarized the 28 words of it.

Finding Me Out is actually the name of a song I love, but I don't think I named the story after it because it was a choice between "Found Out" and the current title and present-tense sounded better. It's about Brendon coming out and I thought it fit.

I Will Save You was originally titled Take it away. Take it away wasn't a bad title but I'm trying to get away from lyrics and song titles as my story titles. I have trouble often times trying to think of an eye catching interesting title. A little more than halfway through this story I decided to change the title. On Facebook this ad kept popping up for a story called I will save you. I don't remember what it was about but I loved the tiltle! I wrote it down and kept it stored for a potential story title later on. I will save you is a Gerard Way and OC slash. The main character Jamie has a lot of issues and Gerard saves him in more ways than one as the story goes one. Gerard is my personal hero too so I think the title fits.

Beautiful Things is one of my favorites. It describes the subplot of the story (a pair working together to save the beautiful bits of life, the arts and such) and also the beauty of relationships.

Anorexia is Beauty is Terror sort of sums up how I felt while writing it; it's an exhilarating feeling and confusing and it just described it all.

King's Gambit is one of my favorite because it relates to chess. It's also my brother's favorite strategy to use sometimes, and the title ties in so much because the story is sort of about the sacrifice to save a larger deal: the strategy is offering up a pawn to build up a stronger center around the king.

A Kiss That Bites was the first thing that popped into my head when I originally thought this story up. However, as time went on the title really just gives the story a name. It makes no reference to anything particular and it bothers me. I would love to change it, but right now I have title block. Facepalm

Moon Valley was named after the magical place that the little girl begins to visit. I haven't really done much with this story. I don't know if I will ever finish it.

The Chronicles of Andrainea: Darkness Falls was originally called The Chronicles of Andrainea: The Beginning, but the name sounded so generic that I got some help with the title. Now it is stands where it is at and I love it. It kind of gives a hint as to what the story maybe about.

A Kiss of Moonlight is my first one shot with the Japanese Animation story of Inuyasha. Basically it kind of describes what the story is about. I mean, it is pretty generic, but it works.

Ryan's Waltz is named because it's about polyamory between three guys and a waltz is in 3/4 time.

280 Days is titled so because that's the average number of days in a normal pregnancy.

I chose Impasse of Feathers because the whole story is pretty much a summation of an impasse Ryan's at and then there's this wonderful plotline involving birds.

    I love birds.

Can I Keep You In My Sights?
I knew I wanted a title that played on Brendon's blindness, but I didn't want it to be too obvious. I rejected Love Isn't Blind, But I Am for that reason.

Say It Like You Mean It! and A Little Bit Louder Now! were titled to fit in with the minor cheerleading theme. Nathan joining the cheer squad sets the whole story and sequel off, and it just seemed to fit so nicely. That, and the fact that a central problem is lying, so Nathan doesn't say what he means. tehe

I Can't Hang was literally the first thing that popped in my head when working on it in ninth grade. Kyle is a pessimist and needs facts, so he 'can't hang' with just opinions. And he 'can't hang' on earth because he's an angel. Shifty

Spin had a lot of bad titles before I settled on the one it has right now. The original one I had in fifth grade was Underneath. (I think so, anyway.) Then in junior high I called it The Fame of Infamy, which made absolute jack crap sense. But ultimately I named Spin after the Taking Back Sunday song, honestly, because it sounded neat and fit with the chaotic atmosphere of the Underland.

Let's Start This Over just seemed like a good idea because it was about new beginnings, the new year, starting their relationship again.

Crown Me Queen is named for the repetitive bit in the very beginning of the story.

Faith Girl is named for the fact that the girl always puts a little more faith into life as she grows up.
