  • Any "old time" love movies?
Like Pride and Prejudice, or such.
    Happy happy happy is key!
It doesn't have to be perfect, but I don't want to watch anything Shakespear like where everyone kicks it and no one is happy in the end. x]

    I'd appreciate it!

(Oh, and yeah, I do want the main romance couple to end up together)

Does it have to be in a time period such as Pride and Prejudice? Because there is a black and white movie made in 1959 with Marilyn Monroe and it's called Some Like it Hot. It fits all of your criteria and it's pretty funny at parts too.

Like Fight Club, Girl, Interrupted, or Perfume?

  • ^ The Alphabet Killer probably falls under that cathegory.
And if you can look beyond the gore then Saw is definitely a frenchise franchise to watch.

You've seen Frozen? Wow I like that movie.
But in Devil, people are trapped in an elevator, haven't seen it but people have told me it's good. In Buried a man is buried alive, haven't seen that either but I'm hoping to soon. I've seen Open Water, where a couple is stranded in the ocean, saw it a while ago but from what I remember, I liked it.

I've already seen Devil, loved it, and Open Water. Might have to check out Buried though. Thanks.

You mean movies that will make you cry? XD Sorry, a little tired today.
If that's what you mean, then Crash. It was just brutal on me. And Brokeback Mountain, Glitter, The Butterfly Effect, Pay it Forward, The Lovely Bones, P.S. I Love You, Toy Story 3, Where The Wild Things Are, Takers, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Brothers, District 9.

The fact that I've cried over most of these movies is probably pathetic but movies just get to me :3
    January 25th, 2011 at 03:02am
  • ^ Seconding Brokeback Mountain and The Lovely Bones, and I'd also like to add A Single Man, Gattaca, Stuart: A Life Backwards, The Soloist, One Night Stand, Less Than Zero, Cold Mountain, and A.I. Artificial Intelligence.

I cry over movies a lot, though. tehe
    January 25th, 2011 at 04:41am
  • ^ Seconding The Soloist actually, can't believe I forgot that one.

I've actually seen all but two of those (and cried on all the ones I've seen, too), but that's not what I meant. Thanks though.
    I'll try to elaborate.

A movie like Closer. A grown up love story with so much truth in it that you think about every person you've ever been with and your heart feels like it's going to cave in. A movie for grown ups.
