Nah, they play pop songs. Basically everything you listen to. All one hit wonders, mainly. It's sad.

Not everything I listen to, actually. I don't even listen to the radio anymore, let alone know what songs are popular these days. I find out from gym what's playing XD That being said, I don't think artists like Katy Perry, Avicii, Jason DeRulo, etc can be classified as one hit wonders.

I don't think you meant to - but the way you worded your comment sounded like the music that I do listen to is inferior to your music taste, which is kind of insulting. Yes, the majority of music I listen to is pop music but it's not all I listen to nor is it bad to listen to pop music. (When I first saw this I wasn't going to say anything but it's been on my mind all day XD) Shifty

Oh god no! I'm not inferior! I'm just saying, like, I won't label it as music I listen to, and i know know you listen to a lot of pop, and argh. Embarassed I'm so sorry, I did not mean that. I just wouldn't label it as my music, and since, oh. I'm not even going to try and fix it because I'll probably make it 1000x worse. Please accept my most sincere apologies, I did not mean it like that at all. And please, if something like this happens again, tell me asap so I can clear it up.

Yeah, I know those guys aren't, but people like Samantha Jade, for example, and other talent show people that don't have this massive fan bases. It's just... sad, because I'm sure she's a good singer, but barely anyone backs her up, you know? She had one hit which was her finale song and I think she's only had one other? That was probably a bad example, but yeah. Along those lines, you know?

I didn't think you meant it the way it came out oh thank god haha. All good, though Cute

    OH
    OH OH OH
Yeah, I know what you mean. Did she even have a hit? XD I feel bad for her because she tried to have a career before the x factor (was that what she was on? idk) and that didn't work out and I'm sure she'll do okay now but not as good as she could be.

Going off on that though, winning talent shows are overrated, because let's face it, the runners up tend to do better than the winners themselves. With the exception of Kelly Clarkson ... and that's all I can think of right now XD

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. I believe I was bring too broad, though. Like you, I don't listen to the radio. But I know what's on it thanks to my sister. She had one hit that I know of, and that was her show finale. I think she was on X Factor.

Shannon Noll and Guy Sebastian were from the same season of Australian Idol, and they're both very famous. Guy more so though. Unfortunately. Shannon's amazing.

Remember when Australia made fun of What About Me? I'm not sure why, though, I always found it kinda catchy. I had this friend once who made up a version of it about having no hair lmfao Guy Sebastian does alright. I mean, he has had his big songs, but I think he's only big nationally, I don't think he's cracked the States or the UK, I believe Think

That was the first season of Aussie Idol, so it makes sense to why they were big. But the seasons following that, I'm not sure if we've had any particular standouts. Jessica Mauboy has done pretty good for herself, I think. Oh, and Rob Mills?

OH. MATT CORBY. HOW CAN I FORGET HIM. He's one of the only artists (that I know of) post Aus Idol that actually took his time creating music instead of coming out with this and that. His music is quite lovely.

I LOVE WHAT ABOUT ME. AND YES I DO. I helped. tehe /bad fan
    Really? Swoon Oh. Well then.
    YES MATT CORBY.

Kelly Clarkson is the only other one I know of. I'm not very big on talent shows.

I think Jess has only had a few hits. Like three or four? I haven't heard from her in a while. If she had any new music, my sister would be all over it.

I like to watch the audition parts of talent shows, and then I lose interest XD There's nothing that entertains me more than Simon Cowell telling someone they're crap lmfao

Beautiful came out quite recently, and before that she had a song called Pop a Bottle. I was obsessed with Pop a Bottle. It's so catchy!

The auditions are the best parts. tehe They're all rigged, though. Nobody actually wins because the public say so. They're predetermined.

I don't know either of them, I think. Is Pop a Bottle the one about fill me up, I can't wait for the weekend or something?
Oh, and Justice Crew were on a talent show. But they were originally dancers.

That is so annoying. I didn't want Melissa to win ANTM and she did and I was like why. WHY. SHANALI WAS SO MUCH BETTER.

Yep. I thought it was kind of weird that JC went into singing when their main talent is dancing. Like I guess they wanted to be well-known for more than a dance group and that's fine, but I'm not so sure singing is their strong point. One of the guys is okay and their songs are decent, but they're not anything particularly special, you know?

    I don't watch ANTM. I watched the 2011 season, and that's it.

I know. I liked their first few singles, but everything else has been meh.

I'd have to disagree there. I watch so many shows that it's actually ridiculous. Then again, I don't go back to uni for another six weeks and I'm unemployed, so XD

I don't have time like you do so I can't sit there and enjoy t TV shows without thinking about how much other shit I actually have to do. And sometimes the episode isn't even as satisfactory to me so it's just a letdown. Much too busy, but I still believe alot of TV shows are over rated, and I watch some of em.

I mean overall she seems pretty likable but it's crazy how everyone's put her on this pedestal and basically sweep problematic things she's said under the rug because oh she's so quirky and adorable.
Also, everyone knows the only reason it's "cute" that she constantly talks about food is because she's conventionally thin, lets be real if she were bigger and doing the same thing people would call her out of control needs to change etc.

I don't understand how it's even. I just. Every time it's on I cringe because it's such a stereotypical song and the lyrics are. And. I have no words.

    - - -

Those Buzzfeed lists and magazine articles that list "what guys / girls like / dislike" and they're a bunch of things people generally like or enjoy. As if it's something that needs to be changed for those who like or enjoy those things. (Revolutionary---an article is telling me guys don't like my lipstick colour, lemme go change that forever ASAP golly gee.)

    The Kardashians...enough said.

And honestly, Ariana Grande. Like seriously, I'm tired of seeing her everywhere. I mean, I don't got nothing against her except her character Cat annoys the crap out of me.

One Direction - I admit I like their songs, but again, they're just everywhere.

Justin Bieber...do I even need to explain?

Demi Lovato - Not even going to talk about it.

& Taylor Swift. Did I mention she's just everywhere?
