Diana Holland from the recent Luxe novels by Anna Godbersen, and Pearl from The Scarlet Letter, that god awful book I hate. I can't stand that book, but I admire Little Pearl.

At times, I feel Diana and Pearl are quite alike despite the age difference.

Diana is a free spirit and a "rebel" in a way. She has ambitions and will not let anyone hold her back.
Pearl is just free spirited, too young, I think, to rebel against society.

I really liked his character actually. Like you said, he might be a tad insane and a child killer and everything, but really, he just makes Prison so amusing! But no, all jokes aside, I did really like him, actually.

Severus Snape has been my all time favourite book character since I was about six.
