I've noticed my style has become a little more straight-forward than it used to be. I've never been a super flowery writer, but I've always been really description-heavy. I sill am, but now it's become easier and more natural for me to omit any bulk from my writing without being overly simplistic.

I've noticed I cannot write stories with a plot. I've always been a totally character-driven writer, but seriously, it's kind of ridic. Like the story still goes somewhere and has a "point", I guess, but there is literally no real, concrete plot, more just like a loose idea and a look in to these character's lives.

I've noticed I repeat words way less than I used to. =D I don't have to work as hard as I used to, to not be repetitive without pulling out a thesaurus.

I've noticed I enjoy killing my ego-tripping main characters off. I mean, it realistically goes with the story, but I end up killing off main characters.

I also realized that I am not as descriptive as I used to be, and whenever I think about adding a description I end up double thinking, saying to myself "oh, well the character isn't going to be here long anyways" and that's that.

I don't write scenery very often.
I use the word just all of the time.
I often make everything up as I go along. I don't really plan a lot of things out.
I also enjoy killing a lot of people off :s

There's probably more but this is what comes to my mind.

Gerard always smokes a lot. Even when I'm writing him as a girl or a teenager or whatever else, he always smokes a lot.

I also tend to make Frank a bit of a jerk at times, even if it's just playful messing around.

I use more 'flowery' language than I used to and it annoys the heck out of me. D:< I think my writing style was a lot better when I was like, thirteen.

My characters always sigh, roll their eyes, and mess with their hair because I do it all of the time.
I also love to create tension and once things start getting resolved I always find a way to bring some tension back. Facepalm

I have a tendency to just not explain things that feel obvious to me, but I'm not sure the readers always pick up on them.

I don't usually start at the beginning, so to speak. I usually start in the middle of something, be it dialogue or action.

All of my writing deals with drug addicts or somehow else fucked up youths.
    Pain Pills and Pancakes:
Though he didn't have anything else in the world, no friends, no family, not even a real history - he had these two things. His pain pills and his pancakes, that is. Every morning he crawled out of his cruddy cot and headed out to his dealer - whose name he still doesn't know, even after buying from him for a year or two now - and trudged to McDonald's. This monotonous routine was what he looked forward to most each day because he knew he could control this.
    Empty Sighs and Mary Jane:
To anyone else in the world, I probably looked like a pathetic piece of shit. I jerked off to gay porn in my grandparents' basement and made blunts from pages out of the Bible; what an outstanding excuse for a human. Why not, though? I had literally no one - I was alone and I doubted anything would be the same after what happened with her. If she didn't care, who would?
    Trip:
"I don't want the drugs, I just need them. And all I want is to be okay without them. But I never have. And I never will," I explained. I'd clenched my teeth in an effort to stop crying. I felt something burning in my chest. And my teeth gnashed against my will. And I was heaving with long put off sobs.
    Rouge:
Looking back at the stage, I cringed inwardly as I watched the girl I once knew grind on a pole topless for money. As I painfully watched, I thought about why or how this had happened to her. Out of everyone in our graduating class, Rouge Sullivan was the last person I ever expected to be a stripper; I would have been less shocked if it had been Lana Adams, one of my ex-girlfriend's. But lo and behold, she was collecting ones and shaking her breasts like it was her job. I laughed cynically to myself at the more than true expression.
I don't think it's really a bad thing, it just makes me wonder why on Earth people like this are all I can write about.

I tend to write from the male's perspective in third person limited, which I think is funny since when I started out, I felt more comfortable writing from female characters' perspectives.

I have a tendency in my short pieces to pull from something inane like wallpaper whilst the story itself blossoms.

-I rarely use physical description from first person pov.
    -Sometimes I tense shift.
-I use I a lot. I mean, there's really no other way to write something in first person without using "I" but sometimes I feel it gets a little too repetitive.

I use "-ed, -ing" a lot. I feel like the sentences feel like something's lacking if nothing else is with it.

    For example:
“Well, where is it?” Alex asked, feigning curiosity.
I slipped on a pair of yoga pants, stuffed my feet in my cozy moccasins, and tossed my hair up in a messy bun.
“I’m sorry!” She laughed, holding the door for me to the lecture hall.

My writing is always, without fail, better in the summer than it is during the school year, I guess because when I'm in class and working every day, it's hard for me to cram in the appropriate amount of time needed to create a piece I'm satisfied with, so I tend to rush my writing. Plus, I'm usually stressed out during that time, so it's hard for me to really focus on my writing.

Rereading some of the oneshots I wrote this past summer, I keep thinking to myself, "UGH! WHY CAN'T I WRITE LIKE THIS NOW?!" Facepalm

Lately, I've been focusing more on narration rather than on dialog. And I think I'm using less commas.

I'm starting to write in a much more formal way when I'm writing from the third person perspective. It's only happening with two of my stories where they both focus on one main character for the majority of the story as I don't have any other character to play off, dialogue-wise.

I'm also using a lot of "perhaps" and "however"'s. XD

I tend to notice in my chaptered stories that the writing quality improves quite a lot throughout as I've developed my writing style.

I also write a 100% better in third person. XD

I feel like I mostly use the same words over and over again, and my writing is really monotonous lately and I hate it.

Not technically concerning writing, but I've noticed that I use the same font in all of my banners XD

I'm the exact same. XD When I re-read my old work I find myself not liking the description-heavy style I used to use, and now I just can't write that way.

And I can't plot to save my life. Generally I'm so impatient to start writing when I have a new idea that I will push planning aside, then I get stuck with a story with very little plot. I mainly write one-shots that are snapshots into my character's lives.

I have to physically stop myself using the same font twice in a row, it makes me feel itchy XD

    -

I tend to write really long sentences, and then I notice I haven't had any short ones for a while and stick a shorter sentence in there before going right back to the longer ones. Shifty
