Bob Dylan. - I was debating using the name Welsh, but I'm not sure. I'd like it to start with a "W", and I'm flexible with origin.

eelectrifying fire. - Smith. XD Kidding.
Maybe... Wilson? If you want the double Will sound... if not: Matthews, Lincoln, Lewis, Cortez, Newark, Ross...

I think I'll use Dean for the older brother. But, oddly enough, I already have a character named Shannon set up. Do you have any other suggestions?

Oh, and does anyone have surname ideas?
Hm, how about Kodi? That was the second name that came to mind after re-reading the description - also the name of someone else I went to school with who I was instantly reminded of. tehe

So I'm starting a new story soon since my current story is ending and I need help with a character name for a girl.

She's young, maybe 19-22 and she's kidnapped to be a sex slave for a gang. She plays the innocent, lost puppy card and her captors feel for her but still can't let her go. So, she kinda get special treatment. And basically, she tries to earn their trust to use it against them and escape. When she does finally escape, she realizes the guys that kidnapped her treat her better than her actual family. They find her and bring her back to live with them, and treat her the way they treat all the other woman in the house because she basically "played"/betrayed them. And she genuinely tries to get their trust back and ends up falling in love with one of them.

I haven't really pictured what she would look like, but I've got an idea for her personality. She's sly and sneaky, I guess you can say. She plays innocent to gain their trust, obviously. She's a fighter and sarcastic, but tones it down after she gets captured.

That's all I can really think of so far and sorry for the long post. I'm open to any common and quirky name, just stray away from the too common (Ex. Jessica or Brittany) or the crazy absurd ones.

    Please and thank you!

I like Evelyn or Nicole, but I don't think I'll choose Evelyn since I have a close friend named that and it'd be awkward picturing her while writing. Haha

So I have 4 names to choose from:
    -Nicole
    -Hera
    -Charlie
    -Blake

And I can't decide which one to pick! Someone please pick for me!

Charlie! It could be short for Charlotte.

For some reason Charlie just sounds like a bad ass name for a girl, and if you want it more feminine, you could always use Charlotte.

Hi! I need a name for a girl who's 20 years old, she's funny and a jokester type of girl that everyone loves. She's got brown shoulder length hair, and blue eyes. Help me? :)

^ Brown hair and blue eyes sounds she's Irish, so maybe go for something like Sinead, Aoife or Siobhan?

I am in need of a name for a 16 year old girl in the Harry Potter world. Marauders era. She's a metamorphmagus, like Tonks. Nothing plain Jane though. I like eccentric names. She's 5'5" with ever changing hair and eyes, but she was born with auburn hair and violet eyes.

Help please! I'm completely stumped on names. >_<

Looking at my novel notes, I found out that I had four characters running around with 'Rose' names. So I figured I needed to rename some even if it's just for my own sanity. Unfortunately, one was a major character who is a pain to rename.

Originally, her name was Rosalie, so something similar pretty, light sounding. And it's a medieval fantasy novel, so something that fits the setting. She has dark blond hair, blue eyes, fair skin, and sort of round and heavy featured. She very much tries to be the proper lady. (She possesses the wit, taste and esprit necessary to be a star of Society, and never crosses the border of good taste and civility. She is devoted and loyal, never treacherous or scheming. Her manners are never less than impeccable, and her good will and charity are a beacon to those lucky enough to live around her.)

Bonus points if you can come up with something that would have cutesy nickname.

^ Evelyn, Elise, Clara, Isobel, Catarina.

I tried to stay away from R's. Aside from Isobel the others sound like names that would fit the medieval era. Proper too.

    First names:

    Ingrid
    Vivienne
    Theodosia
    Isadora
    Juniper
    Catrain
    Devin
    Georgiana
    Orianna

You could also use the surname Wardlow which is Ancient Welch or Gaelic I think and means Warlock.

    One is named Shanna Ross.

The other is named Adrian Scott (or Sinclair, can't decide).

Shanna Elizabeth Ross, Shanna Christine Ross, Shanna Morgan Ross, Shanna Kaylin Ross, Shanna Parker Ross, Shanna Bailey Ross, Shanna Brianne Ross, Shanna Gretchen Ross?

Adrian Emerson Scott, Adrian Anderson Scott, Adrian Gideon Scott, Adrian Gunner Scott, Adrian Edward Scott. If you stick with Scott, you should pick a multisyllablic name to break up the stressed pattern.
    ----

I really wanted to name my character Garnet. But the character's last name has to be Prentiss, and Garnet Prentiss sounds pretty terrible. Alternatives? Or something that I can stick in the middle?
