Oh, I have guy friends like that too, but I've just found with girls (or the girls I've been surrounded by) there's an issue and it literally takes days to sort out, whereas with guys they hardly even care and move on. Could just be the boys my age or area though ~

Going off that, when girls are fighting and it's all words. I'd honestly rather have a punch on to get my anger out (sometimes there are punch-ons, but it's usually just hurtful words and someone going you're fat/slut/bitch etc"

The worst part about being a guy?
Where to start? The constant expectation of doing everything right, or maybe being able to do about 50 push ups in gym. Wait, I got it! The fact that society thinks we're emotionless, heartless, brainless, hormone filled sex offenders who think of nothing but a woman's breasts and think of sex 100% of the time. Or maybe everybody who expects me to be secure with who I am, what I do, and that I always have my head out of the clouds. "That's stupid, boys don't self-harm, they don't care when they have a break up because they're usually the cause of it!"
Well, that may be true that guys are the reason, but that doesn't mean it's all fine and dandy!

I don't think most men are like that (sex offenders). I do think that society tries to make men seem like that to excuse them for rape.

Society sets out to make women appear the victims to males, when really it's both genders are victims to society

Well, in the case of rape the statistics overwhelming state that women are victims and men are perpetrators. Not every time, but the majority of times. And in the case of rape, it's not society's fault.

I think that we live in a patriarchal society where the attitudes and norms have been set out by men. I do think both genders are victims of the patriarch, but I don't believe both genders are "equally" oppressed or anything of that nature.

Or at my school, the fact that guys can wear whatever the fuck they want, but if a girl comes to school with a little bit of her shoulders showing, she has to go home.

Like fucking serious? I just saw a guys nipples because he was wearing a SLEEVELESS shirt, and you're going to give a girl grief and send her home because a small portion of her shoulder was showing?

The reasoning behind that was "It's too provocative," and I'm just like.. wow, and a guys nipples aren't?

I think that they believe that girls won't stare at guy's nipples as much as the guys would be staring at the girl's

    @ foreverandalone;

They may think it's inappropriate because the woman has breasts and men are turned on way easier than women, meaning that, if a guy sees a girl showing off her curves or sees that she's close to flashing her tits, he may get turned on. Possibly the girl could be demeaned for it and called a slut and a tramp etc.. Multiple reasons as to why this could be, but I think that the rules should apply to both genders because then it's just sexist.

Yeah, but I think they're more worried about hormones than social status, though both make a huge role in this

Men aren't turned on way easier than women. Men are more likely to burn turned on by something like breasts. Girls are more likely to be turned on by something like a fan blowing or birds flying through the sky. Don't see them getting rid of any of that shit in schools.

Being a guy, I can speak for all of us and say, that, it's fairly easy to get turned on. It's no secret that guys get horny just from sitting in class.

I'm pretty sure that just 'cause you have a penis doesn't mean you can speak for everyone. Not all men are the same.

I would say guys get more VISIBLY turned on. But just 'cause girls don't get hard-ons doesn't mean they get any less turned on.

how I'm seen as a prude for not putting out on the third date, even if that date included a "really expensive dinner/tickets/etc, etc." I don't believe that sex should be expected or used as a reward in the case of a beginning relationship.

I expect sex in the beginning of a relationship, but I'm very open about it. I don't think sex should be used like that and the 'third date' thing is so ridiculous. Sex should happen when both parties are ready and willing and happy about it.
