Sucker Punch

Sucker Punch is an upcoming American action-fantasy film written by Steve Shibuya and Zack Snyder, and directed by Snyder. Sucker Punch features an ensemble female cast that includes Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung and Jena Malone. The film follows a young girl in the 1950s about to be lobotomized as she attempts to escape an asylum with her inmate friends.

Development began in March 2007. The script, which was penned by Snyder and Shibuya, was finalized in five years and was actually planned to be made first before Watchmen. For Sucker Punch, Snyder gathered most of the Vancouver-based production team who worked on Watchmen. Pre-production took place in Canada on June 2009. Principal photography began in September 2009 and concluded in January 2010; filming took place in some parts of Toronto and Vancouver.

Sucker Punch is scheduled to be released in both conventional and IMAX theatres on March 25, 2011. It was earlier said to be released in October 8, 2010, but it was pushed back instead. Snyder is currently mapping out the Blu-ray interactivity for the film in preparation for the film's home media release.

This movie looks awesome. Snyder is personally one of my favorite directors so I'm very excited to see this movie. Here's the Comic Con trailer. :)

I've heard of it before but never looked at the trailer and MY GOD IT LOOKS AMAZING! I love Emily Browning and could do without Vanessa Hudgens, but I suppose it'll be interesting to see how she pulls her action role off. BUT LORDY IT'S SO MUCH ACTION AND I KNOW I WILL LOVE IT! The trailer just got me super excited and 2011 needs to come now.

I know! 2011 has so many awesome movies coming out!! Like Fright Night... This movie looks like it'll be sex.

And I'm actually interested in seeing Vanessa Hudgens be all action-y I think she might be good. That was her in the machine thing with the dragon. :)

My friend told me about it after Comic Con last year. I can't wait to see it! I don't know if I'll be able to see it on the big screen, but I can't wait!

I am extremely excited for this movie. I love Zack Snyder's work and it just looks amazing. :D

At first I was a bit iffy about seeing this movie, but after watching the trailer again with an open mind, I have to say - this looks SICK. And I mean that in the best way possible I can't wait to see this in theaters!

I've been waiting for this movie to come out for almost two years. Words cannot explain how excited I am to see it.

I watched this last night. Its not really what I expected it to be. But it was amazing.

I am so excited to see this movie, although I probably won't be able to for a while. :c

Saw it twice already. DEFINITELY worth it the second time, and I wouldn't be opposed to a third!

Plus, I bought the soundtrack on iTunes and it's probably one of the most surreal and amazing soundtracks I've heard in a long time. Unf. So good.

Definitely want to see. The idea really intrigues me, and I adore Emily Browning. This film seems really different for her, and from the trailer it seems to really suit her. Definitely on my list.

I really wanted to see this. Will probably buy it when it hits DVD.
