Andrea stood up as soon as her name was said, looking at the woman, sighing. "You must be Dr. Maybell, I'm Andrea Grey...could you tell me if Marie is doing any better?" She asked her, her voice tired and sad. She had really been worried about her daughter. She honestly regretted sending her off, but she knew that she needed to get some help. She missed her so much now though. "I've been worried sick about her...I just want to know how long it will take for her to get better...and maybe if I could see her," she asked her, a hint of hope coming through her voice as she looked up at Scarlett.

Scarlett looked up and down at Andrea, "I'm not sure if she is up to it, she has made very little improvement I'm afraid, I've been trying my hardest with her, giving her special attention. But I'll check up on her in her bedroom and see if she is well enough to see you." Scralett smiled and shook her hand, "Wait here and I'll see if she's awake," She walked out of the room. and over to Marie's room.

The small hint of hope in Andrea's eyes faded when she heard that Marie wasn't improving well, but she nodded weakly at what she said. "Okay...thank you," she murmured softly. She sat down on one of the chairs again and sighed, looking down at her hands.

Marie was curled into a little ball on her bed, staring at the barred windows, a blank expression on her face. She'd been singing Misguided Ghosts by Paramore over and over all morning, unable to get it out of her head. She wanted to go back to Michael's room, she missed him, and she wanted some company. She just felt so lonely anymore, it'd been a few days since anyone had seen her, including Scarlett. Apparently this was her punishment for something she didn't remember even doing, but she didn't take the time to argue about it. It would only get worse if she did anyways. She looked up when the door opened, still singing away, not stopping even as Scarlett came in. She was sure her problems were only getting worse.

Scarlett paused a moment who knew she could sing? Maybe that's all she's good at, needs to sing more, what am I thinking? I'm getting soft for her, I can't do this, not now. "Your mother is here to see you, do you wish to see her? And stop that damn racket, you're going to wake the other patients. Damn, sometimes I swear you just don't take others into consideration." Scarlett slammed the door behind her, waiting for approval of her unexpected visitor. "Well? Do you want to see your mother? Or not?"

Marie stopped singing for a moment and looked over at Scarlett. "I wasn't being that loud, Miss Scarlett. And yes, I would like to see my mother," she murmured softly, her voice as sweet as could be. She slid off of her bed and sighed, pulling on a pair of clean socks so that her feet wouldn't get too dirty on the floor. They weren't supposed to wear shoes, just socks or slippers, and she didn't have any slippers. She bit her lip and walked over to the woman, her hands laced together in front of her, and her eyes down on the floor.

Scarlett put her hand on her shoulder, "Lets go," she opened the door and walked Marie down to the office where her mother waited. "Here she is."

Marie played with her fingers a little bit as she walked with Scarlett, glancing around the hallway. She looked at her mom when they got to her and she bit the inside of her cheek. "Hi, momma," she mumbled, walking over to hug her.

[ Could you play Marie's mom for right now? ]

Andrea smiled and hugged Marie, "Hey my sweetie, how have you been doing? Have they been treating you right? Are you okay? How has your stay been? Have you made any friends?" Andrea kept hounding Marie with questions. "Mrs. Grey, try taking it easier on her, she's been through a lot and she's still not fully healed. If you hound her with questions like that, she's going to take even longer to heal," Scarlett spoke with what seemed like true sincerity, no one in the room knew if she meant that she said, that she might actually care, or if she was just saying that to make her mom feel better, not even Scarlett could tell anymore.

[ I did too, don't worry. ]

Marie's eyes widened a bit when her mother started asking question after question, making her head spin. "I-I..." she sighed when Scarlett interrupted, explaining not to ask so many questions to her. She bit her lip and wrapped her arms around herself. "I've been alright," she mumbled at long last, keeping her arms around herself.

Scarlett began to feel bad for Marie, "Mrs. Grey, do you mind having a seat here, and perhaps waiting about an hour, Marie and I have an appointment, and I can't reschedule anything, I'm booked for the week." Scarlett spoke to Andrea thinking up a quick lie. "Oh, alright sure, but do you mind if I just come back in an hour? I have to go pick up a few things for the house." Scarlett looked up at the clock, "Sure thing Mrs. Grey, come back whenever you like." Scarlett shook Andrea's hand and walked Marie out the door.

Marie frowned when she couldn't even hug her mom goodbye. She walked out of the room and messed with her hair nervously. She didn't say anything to Scarlett at first, just thought as she walked. "I thought you said I didn't have an appointment until Friday, Miss Scarlett?" She asked her in a soft, sweet voice, looking up at the woman.

Scarlett sighed in annoyance, "You don't, but I couldn't stand seeing her act like that, they way you've talked about her, and now she's trying to change? Now of all times after you are in here, because she decided she just didn't care, and now she's going to start caring? Makes me sick. You're already fucked up, she was just going to make it worse, I bet you anything she won't even come back in an hour." Scarlett continued to walk down to her office. "You can sit in here for an hour, try not to make too much of a fuss, I have a lot of work I have to do." She sat Marie down in a chair and went over to her desk where she began typing up reports of her other patients.

Marie's eyes welled up with tears and she slowly nodded, tugging at her hair lightly. "Okay," she whispered. She crawled up on the chair and pulled her knees to her chest, sniffling softly. She closed her eyes and went silent for a while, not wanting to interrupt her work. She just felt sick from how her mother as acting. She knew it was all a show.

Scarlett was typing up reports, her mind racing about todays events, Why was her mother acting like that? Did she just put on an act like I do? Why does she sicken me so much then? She made me want to punch her in the face because I knew she was a lie, but, aren't I a lie also? Isn't everything I do here a lie? Her mind wouldn't settle, but she continued her work and tried to ignore her thoughts as best as she could.

[[We forgot about Michael o.o]]

[ No, I was just thinking about him. ]

Marie stayed still for a long while until she finally looked over at Scarlett. "Miss Scarlett? Can I go see Michael for a little while?" She asked in a small voice, biting at the inside of her cheek.

She paused and looked over at her, "You mean you actually want to see him?" Her question was more in shock that irritance. "I guess you can see him, but be back here in twenty minutes, or else,"

Marie nodded a little bit and slid off of the chair. "Thank you, Miss Scarlett," she mumbled, walking out of the room. She made her way to Michael's room, knocking softly before she walked in. She closed the door behind her and walked towards his bed, crawling up next to him. "Are you sleeping?" she whispered, poking his cheek.

He stirred a little, "huh what? No I wasn't sleeping I was only resting my eyes," he stretched and turned over to face her, kissing her on her forehead. "How are you today my sweet? Been well I do hope," he smiled.

Marie smiled a little bit and giggled softly at him. "Of course you were," she murmured. She snuggled against his side and closed her eyes, sighing. "I've been alright," she muttered, twisting her lips to the side, "how about you though? Better than yesterday?"

He looked down at her, "What's wrong? I know there is something you want to say, talk to me Little Dove, what is it?" He pushed her hair away from her face so he could see her beautiful eyes, with a tinge of sadness in them. "And I'm fine, don't worry about me Little Dove, I'm more conserned about how you are." He kissed her on the cheek.
