I'm just so excited. First, a new DVD, now talk about a new album! It's just so freakin' awesome. I wonder how Arin will do with the writing process, because I really like him and I hope they stick with him.
yeah, i really hope he does good with the writing. i want to see him stay with the band:)

Same. He's a good fit, he's a talented drummer, and he's really awesome with the fans. I think most people would run the other way with how overbearing the fan base can be xD

Mike Portnoy. And I agree. Mike was one of Jimmy's favorite drummers and it was awesome of him to come in and fill in the spot, but the vibe was different with the boys. It seems with Arin, the guys are more happy on stage and have a good time. Either way I'm still greatful for what Mike and Arin have done for the band.

I agree with you guys. Arin just fits in with them so well and I really hope they keep him too. It seems like the writing process will be his final test to see if he'll stay permanently. In Love I mean the guys already joke with him onstage and stuff, and everybody seems comfortable. He is talented as hell too, seeing them live, you'd almost think it was Jimmy still up there drumming.

    TEAM ARIN FTW!

Was Arin in another band before he joined the guys?
yeah, i hope the writing process goes good:D
in a lot of the newer photos i have seen of the guys performing live, they seem a lot happier, which makes us happy:)
    YES TEAM ARIN!!! hehe

Yep, he was the drummer of a band called Confide. The band found him through mutual friends and their studio drum tech recommended him. (Totally wikipedia stalking right now as I'm typing this)

His past band Confide is actually pretty decent. A teacher of mine, while I was in school, played their cover of Such Great Heights. They're more of a screaming type band. But I think they all quit the band a few years back, not sure.

Gah, I'm fan-girling at my tv right now. Live In The LBC is on HDNet. I know I could watch it on DVD, but it's so much better in HD xD. Man, I can't wait for the new concert DVD. It's going to be so good.

Sara, I was watching that too, XD Trying not to mosh in my room. I didn't really pay attention to the HD part of it, but I was just listening. Then I saw Jimmy and started to cry Sad But at the end I totally jumped on my bed when the hot tub scene came on and yelled "The magician strikes again. ha ha ha haaaa"

    Oh my god lmfao
I love saying all their random little quotes. It's funny because everyone looks at me like I'm nuts and no one gets the references but I just laugh to myself.

I know right?! It actually happened to me when I was in Great Lakes. I had a friend, but didn't know he was into A7X, and out of nowhere he rattles off some Jimmy quote, I forgot which one, but I laughed happily.

No one I know listens to Avenged. I mean, they all know the hits like Beast and the Harlot and Bat Country and stuff like that, but they don't know quotes or other songs. So that's why I'm happy I have this thread and tumblr to fan-girl with other people xD

Sara, I'm sure you'll get to see them the next time they tour the states. =D It might be another 2 years or so before they start touring again, but that's plenty of time to save money and make sure it happens.

I also just thought of something. My new job deals with theatrical and concert lighting, our people set up this stuff at concerts, and when I was interviewing, they said I could end up doing this too-going out on the road on tours. THey've also done lighting for A7X because they've commented when I wear A7X shirts to work. The next time they tour, I could be at that stage in my job where I could go out on tours....Mother of God....There is that slight possibility that I could one day essentially go on tour with A7X and set up their lighting shows.....I need to NOT think about this right now, because I"ll get myself all worked up for something that wouldn't happen for at least a couple of years....Twitch Twitch

Omg. I envy you. That sounds like an awesome job.
That'd be awesome to go on the road with Avenged. I'd give my left leg to do that lmfao

Haha I love my job, even if it's mostly pulling cables to pack up and go out on these tours, but some of them are big name, like Friday I pulled for Def Leppard. But hell, when Avenged start touring again and even if I'm just pulling cables for their shows I'd just be all "Happy face These cables are going on the road with the best band ever" lmfao

That would be cool though. Do you get to sit and watch the show or do you have to do other stuff behind the scenes?
