It's more or less going to be as crap as it is now, only with more shiny surfaces and tinfoil hats.

Less money, a crack down on social welfare. By then the Government will have cracked under the strain of society. There'll be a lot more solar power and a lot less coal.

Less trees, more buildings. More people. Um... more interactive toys or gadgets (so, more stuff like Siri on the iPhone, where they can respond to any comment someone makes) Hmmm what else. Oh and maybe big screens on buildings? I dunno.. That's what I think :P

It's going to be invaded by a supernatural creature and will all die from lack of tree's XD I actually think it will just be updated technology and flying cars and maybe talking animals (that would be cool)

If everybody on Earth won't stop releasing substances that toxify Earth then.. It would be definitely worse. Or maybe advanced technology, robots that you command to do something for you , flying cars , outer space trips , and maybe aliens traveling all the way to Earth to trade and be friends with everyone. =D

Well personally, I don't think I can really think of what it would be like. I'm sure people back in the 80's thought that 2013 would be advanced and farther ahead than we are. I can predict that we'll probably be more disorganized as a country, probably having more and more problems with politics and ethics. I can also see advances in technology, possibly something along the lines of holograms or projected images, like touch screen with out the screen? I know they've invented a prototype for it and it works but you know how those things are. It'll take years and years before it's on the market. I really think technology will rule all eventually, we'll to obsessed with it eventually.

Jetpacks that work, an active space program, a complete and total overhaul of the education system, a Final Fantasy VII live-action film that is awesome, a Legend of Zelda film, and cans of juice that can be resealed. If there's no bottle available then why can't I shut the can so I don't need to carry it everywhere Cheese It's 2013 lawdy lawdy we have shipped dogs into outer space in big shards of metal but we can't find a good way to close the lid on a can of Irn Bru dear god

Scientifically we'll be even further ahead, like a superb amount.

Socially? I have no idea. At the very least, our racist reality tv stars will be in super duper HD.

More celebrities. Sleeker electronics. Hands-free cell phones. Evolving musical apparati. A revolutionary all-electric supercar. Buildings powered by the sun. Neurological implants. Controllable prosthetics. Heightened prices and lower income. Thinner women. Taller men. Plastic faces, plastic grafts. Fixable injuries once considered fatal. Deep-sea exploration. Landing ships on Mars.

Maybe I'm getting a little ahead of myself.

I can't really tell you much about what 2039 will be like, but I've been to the year 3000. Not much has changed but they lived underwater, and your great great great granddaughter is doing fine.

You can see, depending how fast it advances, but with Moore's Law, you can expect the following.

    ~ Thinner computers

    ~ Cleaner Energy Sources

    ~ Better Genetic/Gene changing tech

    ~ Better telescopes

~ If far enough, Google Glass type contacts in your eyes that tell you all about the person based on 'social media'.

~ Tech almost if not at, body/android augmentation

~ Wall Paper computers (Doctors, Calls, etc)

What you see now, like the internet, it is just a type 1 telephone. We are a type 0.7 civilization that needs to make drastic changes. We might have Fusion energy by than.

Not much different. Different year, same amount of idiots.
I do think we're going to have a lot more technology than we do now. Probably everyone will be using their phones to pretty much think for them. Kids won't be playing outside as much/anymore.

5 year olds will have Iphones.
DVDs, Blu Rays, and CDs will no longer exist (or will be outdated like the VHS is now. Kids now don't know what a VHS is)
