Quinn
Quinn tried to hold back his emotions as Eve held onto him. She stroked his fur in such a way that it made him growl. Whether she thought this was in annoyance or want, he wasn't sure; he wished he could lie to himself about it. He didn't like the way that it felt when her small fingers were tangling themselves through the thickets of his fur; he couldn't! He was a werewolf and she was a human. A puny human. A human that he bullied relentless and cared nothing for. Still, why did a werewolf act so primitively "dog" when someone touched them?! He was at least satisfied a little that he had soothed her from crying. If he did nothing more than that, at least he accomplished something! "You're accepted. If you aren't you should be. Just because your coat is black, and not brown or white, doesn't mean you're not a wolf. It just means you're the way you are." She had really struck a nerve there. They were equals at this level; him a mute with no mouth to speak but ears to listen and she with all of these emotions pouring out to get new confidant. He felt entranced by her vanilla scent that he smelled all the time and he felt dizzy most of the time. He nuzzled against her; he wanted to be close to her and make sure that she was ok.
Logan
Logan instantly noticed the tension that overtook the wolf as she squirmed, thinking about what it was that James might have wanted to say to her. The wolf's brown ears lowered down as if he were in trouble and he looked up at her with sorrow-filled eyes. "Aw, boo, what's wrong?!" She asked, scratching under his chin. He stopped her from doing it as he laid his head on her lap. "I know, you know James is bad, huh?" She asked. "What is that? Like a wolf instinct or something? I guess I should listen to you!" He whined as his head shot up to look at her, and he licked her cheek. "Gosh, it's almost like you're really listening to me. Maybe you are, but you're not going to tell right?" She laid her head into the thick fur of his neck. Suddenly, Logan's feelings set into an exhausted need for sleep. How badly she would've been content to stay here wrapped in the warmth of his body, but she knew that she should probably get home because she wouldn't wake for awhile. I gotta go, boo!" Logan whispered in his wolfish ear and she heard him whine.
