Jessie furrowed her brows together in confusion as she listened. Shrugging slightly, she turned her attention back ahead to the teacher. She wasn't looking forward to going to her locker to talk to him at lunch, immediately assuming that it would be the most awkward thing ever.
Sighing softly, she propped her elbow on the desk and leaned her cheek into the palm of her head, zoning out while she listened to the teacher. She wanted to go home. She didn't want to be here with a best friend who didn't even remember her. She didn't want to be here with a monotonous, droning teacher.
She wanted to be home, where she could just forget the day. Maybe she could even just pretend the day never happened. Knowing that was impossible, though, she bit down on her lower lip, ready to just get out of the class.
Surviving this class would be a good start in trying to forget everything else.
