Makenna rolled her eyes. "Well wait until I'm over all of this. I'll be the next Shakespeare of writing reports." She stated with a small smile on her lips.

"I'll be fine. My boss is very lenient. I'll be up and running in no time." She joked, still looking over her work, making a few changes of her own.

Hayden looked at her with mock horror as she had no idea as to what she was missing.

"Oh. This will just not do." He grinned, popping the first movie in. "If you enjoy this, we are watching the other two. If not. There is something wrong with your brain." He teased as he plopped down beside her.

He soon realized something. "Want popcorn Violet?" He asked with a smile.

Alex gave a chuckle but wouldn't put it past her to become a great writer. At this point, he really couldn't underestimate her because she had proven to be a hard worker. He knew that she really wanted to keep this job badly; to prove herself worthy to the world. "Good, that's what I want to hear." Papercliping his papers together, Alex looked over at Makenna before holding out the paper work. "I need you to send these ideas down to development. Do you feel up to it?"

As his eyes showed shocked and horror, she blinked not knowing what that meant for her. She didn't see the movie - what that wrong? "I am assure you that there is clearly nothing wrong with my brain." Violet told him with a slight frown even though she knew that he was just joking around. As the trailers started to play, she leaned back onto the soft but gave a nod in his direction. "If we have popcorn.. I don't know if my mom ended up throwing that away."

Makenna nodded, standing up. "Better than ever." She said giving a small smile as she took the papers.

"But I do have a question. Exactly where is that?" She asked curiously. She hoped that he didn't mind a few questions, she had never been an assistant before so she would have to learn the basics.

Hayden noticed her frown when he said something being wrong with we brain. "I'm joking. Promise. Your brain is beautiful and fantastic." He grinned standing up as she answered him about the popcorn. "I'll be back." He said before going off to the kitchen, searching the cabinets. Actually it wasn't much searching. He went straight for a cabinet on the bottom and towards the back, junk food.

He laughed. His dad still hadn't changed his hiding place. Grabbing a popcorn pack, he popped it in the microwave. Soon he returned, bowl in hand. "And let us watch." He grinned, hitting play once more.

Since he was so confident in her abilities, he had forgotten that she was still new to the whole building. Sure, she knew where his office was but that was about it. Alex stood up before gesturing for her to follow him,"I'll show you but make sure you remember. I don't really have time to guide you places. We can have someone make you a map quickly on the way back from development."

Violet let a blush work its way to her face before waving off his comment like she had been joking in the first place anyway. "I know you were. Don't you worry about it." After he left, she gave a sigh just wanting to return her face back to its normal temperature. He wasn't being fair to her like this, making her blush. Taking a pillow, she hugged it to her chest. "How the hell did you find this popcorn?" She asked as he returned with a bowl in his hand. It had been so long since the last time she had popcorn, let alone microwaved popcorn.

Makenna nodded and began following him. Getting there actually wasn't that difficult. He probably could have described it and she would have made it there.

"You could have just told me how to get here. Not too difficult. Do you doubt my abilities of getting places?" She teased. Doing what she was sent there for she soon began to make her way back.

Hayden plopped down beside her and smiled.

"Like I told you earlier. My mother was a bit if a health food fanatic. Do you really think me and my dad didn't have a way around it all?" He explained with a small laugh.

As the movie began, he set the bowl between them, popping a few pieces in his mouth.

Most of the employees greeted him with smiles before he greeted them back. He introduced Makenna to everyone in the office before noting that some of the male and female employees were interested. All he could do was chuckle about it. After all of the hype, he glanced back over at her,"Possibly. It can get a bit difficult to navigate through this place, Makenna, especially if you are easily distracted."

Taking a handful of popcorn, she started to pop them individually into her mouth with a satisfying sigh. "Good point. I don't think it would be possible for anyone to go this long without junk food. I'm pretty sure that my mom knows about it and even dips into it sometimes." Violet really wouldn't have put it past her mother to do it.

Makenna watched as others greeted him, smiling and how some eyes her. She didn't pay much attention to them though.

When Alex talked about being easily distracted, she eyed him. She wasn't sure if he meant anything by it or not, but it left a sour taste in her mouth. She was probably just paranoid though. "I can promise I'm not easily distracted so I will be fine." She said firmly as they made there way back.

Hayden studied the way she ate her popcorn. Piece by piece. He however ate it a handful at a time.

"Yeah. Probably so." He replied with a small chuckle, turning his attention to the movie.

Ever once in a while he would find himself explaining different aspects of what is happening even giving his own opinions about it.

Glancing back over Makenna, it seemed like he had accidentally hit a nerve. Alex hit the button for the elevator with a sigh before stepping inside before continuing on,"I doubt that you are. I mean, you've gotten a lot of work done so you obviously don't get distracted often. Sometimes, it is just easy to get lost inside of the building is all. I didn't mean anything by it, Makenna."

His commentary helped out with the movie since a lot was happening all at once. Reaching into the bowl, she grabbed a handful before proceed to pop individual pieces into her mouth. She wanted to savor the taste of the popcorn. "Oh, okay. That makes so much more sense now."

Makenna shook her head. "Yeah I know. Just. Never mind." She shook her head with a small sigh. She really needed to work on not letting things get to her so easily.

Entering his office she say down. As time went on she found herself organizing his files when he didn't give her anything else to do. They were quite a mess in her opinion. Night soon set and it was time to leave.

Hayden smiled. With his explaining he found his self glancing over at her ever so often. He really hoped she was enjoying it.

Soon the end credits came around and the bowl of popcorn was empty.

"So. Did you like it?" He asked looking at her with a boyish smile.

Alex gave a nod, thinking that it was probably just the withdrawal talking. He moved into his office, softly closing the door behind him, before going back to work. Seeing that Makenna was moving over to his filing cabinet, he knew that she would be completely freaked out by all of it. Most of it was unorganized but he knew where everything was anyway. By the end of the day, he was tired but feeling accomplished with everything that was done. "Ready to go?" He asked as he shrugged on his jacket.

She was a bit upset that all of the popcorn had been eaten, still wanting more. Looking back over at him, she scrunched her noise, mimicking that she wasn't the least bit impressed. Violet enjoyed seeing his appalled expression before breaking out into a chuckle. "I'm just kidding. It was pretty good but I would've been confused without you."

Soon Makenna had the cabinet organized to a t, everything where it should be.

"Yeah. Let's go." She said grabbing her purse and walking out of the office. She suddenly had the biggest urge for icecream, she hadn't had any in a long while.

"You know. I really want some ice cream." She admitted as the walked out the building.

Hayden's eyes widened as it seemed she didn't like it. He was seconds from giving a speech on how amazing it was but was stopped when she laughed.

"Well, good thing I was here to introduce you to this amazing film." He grinned as he stood and have a bow before taking the bowl to the kitchen. He saw there were dirty dishes and began washing them. Not that he wanted to but things like that bothered him. He couldn't stand dirty dishes to pile up in a sink or anywhere really.

Alex couldn't help but chuckle at her childish craving, raising an eyebrow at her. "Ice cream? Alright, then." Reaching into his pocket, he felt around before pulling out a twenty dollar bill. He guided her over to the ice cream parlor that was just down the street, entering inside. "Go ahead and just pick whatever you want."

After he left, she leaned back onto the couch while look at the other movies that belonged to the series. She waited a few moments but frowned wondering where he went before entering into the kitchen to see that he was doing the dishes. "Jeez, you're such a dweeb." Violet walked over to him to lean against the counter.

Makenna grinned as they went entered.

"Yeah yeah laugh if you want. Come on you know you want some too." She teased as she went up to the counter, deciding on vanilla cookie dough, her favorite.

Hayden heard someone enter the kitchen and rolled his eyes playfully.

"Not a dweeb. I just can not stand things to pile up. It's very annoying." He admitted with a small laugh. He was actually insecure about his OCD tendencies but he was trying to hide that right now.

He rolled his eyes as his eyes landed on the pecan ice cream,"I mean, I guess I could get one considering you wanted to come here." Deciding to order one too, he paid for the both of them. "If anyone asks, you dragged me in here."

"I mean, after a while, here I think that you might have been kidnapped and you were washing the dishes." She shook her head with a sigh but knew that there were some people who couldn't stand dirty dishes. Luckily, she wasn't one of those people.

Makenna rolled her eyes, grabbing her cone once it was made. "Yeah. I dragged you in here kicking and screaming." She said sarcastically, taking a taste of her ice cream.

She then waited for him to get his before walking out with him towards the vehicle. "This. This is amazing." She said dramatically talking about the ice cream.

"Hey! I could never be kidnapped. I'm quite a macho guy, I can handle myself." He joked, showing off his somewhat average muscle with a laugh.

He then went back to the dishes, finishing them in no time.

"Exactly, that is what you're going to tell anyone." Alex gave her a boyish grin, showing off that he still did have an immature side to him. He took a lick of the ice cream before deciding that it was pretty good. It had been a long time since he had some ice cream. "And so it every other ice cream other there." He told her as they got into the limosine.

Rolling her eyes as his average to little muscle, she probably could have took him on without any problem. Violet was still grateful to the day in the van though when she had almost been taken. "Thanks." She simply said before starting to elaborate. "You know, the day with the van. Something could have really happened to me."

Scoffing a little Makenna shook her head.

"I actually don't think that is true. Have you not had strawberry ice cream. It is completely terrible." She explained making a gagging noise to show her point.

Hayden have a confused look at first but nodded once she finished explaining.

"Oh that. See. Told you I'm a very macho guy." He teased with a smile. He continued after a moment though. "But seriously. You're welcome. I'm really glad that it didn't turn out as bad as it could have."

Alex scoffed back since strawberry was one of his favorite ice cream flavors, which she had just completely dismissed. "What are you talking about? Strawberry is amazing. I think that there's something wrong with your taste buds." He took another lip of his ice cream not wanting it to melt onto his fingers.

Violet gave a small laugh before he turned serious and gave a small nod. "So.. do I owe you any else? A 'thank you' or an apology? I just feel like I've been an ass to you a lot." She knew that if she didn't get this off her chest now she wouldn't really be able to enjoy their friendship.

Makenna eyed him for a moment before speaking.

"I do not trust those who think strawberry ice cream is appetizing. You can no longer be trusted." She said with a nod.

"Oh and my taste buds are great. Did you know I can cook? So yes. Nothing is wrong with my taste buds." She grinned. She wasn't like a professional or anything but she was pretty good at adding things and making dishes, it was a hidden talent.

Hayden shook his head.

"You haven't been that much of an ass Violet. And if were friends you don't 'owe' me anything." He stated, looking her over a bit.

"Besides," he started," if I would have let them take you I wouldn't have a friend right now, now would I?" He asked with a boyish like smirk on his lips.

Raising an eyebrow at her, he officially deemed her insane. "People who eat strawberry ice cream are the best. Therefore, you are not." Alex continued to eat his ice cream starting to get down to the cone. He couldn't imagine Makenna cooking. If she couldn't accept strawberry ice cream, she definitely couldn't cook. "When was the last time you cooked for someone?"

She bit her lip slightly while looking at him thinking that he really was too nice to her. "Alright, alright. Thank you for making me feel better about myself." Violet sighed he finished up with the dishes and she threw him a dish towel to dry off his hands.
