Bren shifted as the weight of his pack pulled on his shoulder. He turned to look at Destry, checking she was okay. They had been hiking for a couple of days now, heading back to city. It was time for the princess to return home
@ A Drop On the Window Destry was nervous. She bit her lip now and then as she walked behind Bren. She had been very quiet since they left and she didn't want to talk about it either.
Bren walked close to her and walked in the gates, "I still have one friend in the city, I sent him a crow last week," he said in a whisper. He led her in through the gates to the market district
Bren held her close, and they ducked into a dark alley, and headed inside a house. "We'll be safe here, for awhile, my friend will be back soon," he asid
@ A Drop On the Window Destry nodded and found a place to sit. She sighed and pushed her hood off running a hand through her hair before she started to braid it. "I'm scared." She said though she didn't look scared.
Bren nodded, "I know, but we'll be fine," he said lightly crouching beside her. "We will win the hearts of your people and your kingdom back tomorrow," he said
@ A Drop On the Window Destry took his hand and sighed. "I know my people wish to be free and their hearts belong to me but saftey can come at a high cost to an evil ruler." She said and pressed his hand too her heek with a light sigh. "Bren thank you so much for being here and helping me through this. I couldn't have done it without you."
@ A Drop On the Window Destry smiled and relaxed more. Until the door opened and she had a bow in the arrow pointed at the door until she realized it wasn't a gaurd. "Sorry." She put her weapons down and sighed. She was a little edgy.
@ A Drop On the Window Destey smiled softly. "You will be rewarded greatly for your loyalty to both of us. It means so much to me that you are helping us." She said gently to the man.
The man looked at her, "there is no need for that my dear, I'm an old man, and only wish to see this great city return to the leadership it deserves," he said softly
