Destry focused on keeping her breathing even. They were going to try to get as close to the castle as they could without raising alarm.

Destry kept her head down trying to blend in and hoping they could get close to the castle before any fighting started.

Bren smiled as they entered the gates quietly. He held her close, "this will be the end," he said

Destry nodded. She sure did hope so. Destry wanted this to be over and for everything to be back in it's right place.

Bren walked with her as the made their way towards the entrance of the castle. He held her close, and kissed her cheek. "Lets kill that bastard," he said

As they approached the main door to the castle a guard stopped them. "What business do you have here?" he growled and looked down at Destry.

Bren pulled the blade out from his back and pushed the guard up against the wall the blade to his neck, "Business that will get you killed if you're not careful," he growled. He pulled Destry to him, and flicked off her hood, "Don't ever speak like that to your rightful ruler, or I'll cut out your tongue." He turned as he head footsteps approaching, still holding the guard against the wall he flicked his cloak back and pulled another throwing knife from its sheath, just as another guard approached, "uh... uh down" he snapped pushing the blade deeper into the guards neck. "Us four are just gonna have a nice chat," he said lightly.

Destry blushed as Bren announced her as their ruler. It was true but most of these men Garrett had brought with him. The old guard she had known well had been excited for their loyalty. She had heard the whispers through the land. She stood there ready to fire under her cloak. Destry didn't know what to say to these men. They didn't know her and she felt odd giving them a grand speech when Bren was threatening their lives and was quite capable of ending their lives.

Bren nodded as the guard lowered his sword, "Now I would really hate to have to kill you two, when instead I could pay you to just let us inside, save getting blood on the stairs and my boots," he said lightly. "Would you be a dear Jess, and take the gold from my back pocket, and if they both put their swords down and walk away toss it to them," he said nonchalantly as he still held a knife to a guards throat. "Sound good guys, or do you want to give you lives for the cheap cut throat inside, what's he paying you 50 shillings a day? you have no loyalty to him," he said.

Destry moved behind him remembering that money talked. She took the gold out and showed it to the guards. "And please don't think of raising any alarms. It would not end well. I am taking my kingdom back so if you like to be on the winning side I would very quietly take the money you are kindly being offered along with your life."

Bren smiled as the other guard nodded and unclipped his sword letting it drop to the ground. "You two have yourselves a nice day," he said as Destry tossed over the money and they slipped inside the castle

Destry was glad when they walked away. She looked at him sideways as they snuck into the castle. She was curious why he called her Jess. It was an odd name and it wasn't her name but now was not the time and she had to trust him.

Bren looked at her, "Better if they dont know your name, in case this goes bad, and we have to split without them knowing who we are," he said

Destry nodded and bit her lip. She didn't want this to go bad. That would be awful. She followed close to him. They were in the castle now and she knew all the secrets. She took his hand and lead him into a secret chamber. "We might be able to find him from here."

Bren smiled, "look at you secret passages, shadows, fun stuff," he said softly

Destroy giggled. "I have always been a little different." She whispered and headed toward the stairs that told lead them up toward the rooms and the men's parlor.

Destry frowned as she kept looking in rooms not seeing him. They got to the end of the passageway and she sighed as they exited into the library. "He must be in the center room. It has two doors on either side of the room with a bed in the middle and books on the other side.
