How do you guys feel when it comes to story requests? Do you take them? Have you made requests to other writers on the site that were filled? Are there any pieces you wrote to fill requests that you're particularly proud of?
I try my best to fill the requests I receive in my fandom, but I have to admit that it can be difficult at times, especially when it's a vague request or a character I'm not all that crazy about. I've noticed that I tend to get a lot, especially recently, from the Big Time Rush mini-site.
Overall, I like requests because it gives me a break from the other stuff I'm working on and allows me to play with characters that I don't normally write about. I love to do the requests for Secret Santa every year because it generally gives me a chance to dabble with stuff outside my fandom. I've gotten Supernatural-related requests for the past two years, and I always get excited for those because I love, love, love the show (I've watched it since I was like, fifteen) and it gives me an excuse to write in a fandom I'm generally intimidated by
