- Prologue:
- "Simon, what are we going to do about these bloody tabloids? "Paul, One Directions manager said, pushing a London Star magazine towards the owner of Syco Records.
One Direction had been suffering from tabloids lately. This issue of London Star's headline particularly read 'Another Harlot Leaves Harry Styles's Flat' The issue had a woman leaving the home in a secret manor. Another tabloid pinning Harry as a player but ruining his fan base. It followed more surrounding the other boys as well. The tabloids have covered everything in the past few months, most of them lies. Last week's headline suggested Zayn was on drugs. The week before that Liam wasn't a fit boyfriend because of a messy break-up. Niall is apparently insecure and is scared to have any girl in his life. Just last month, Louis was caught with a girl not his girlfriend even though they had broken up weeks prior to the article. The tabloids hadn't gotten better and the boys currently had a bad reputation. Some of their younger fans parents had made crude opinions on the once sweet boys. It drove Simon Cowell crazy.
"I don't know Paul. We need a stunt or something to get the boys out of this predicament. Most of the tabloids were blown out of proportion." the powerful company owner said, the lines in his forehead creasing.
It was frustrating for Simon. The tabloids were making him lose money, not to mention the boys fan base. It was almost like they were trying to destroy the band. One Direction was famous, so the tabloids had to exploit them.
"If only all the boys had girlfriends to keep them out of trouble." Paul said, tapping his fingers to the low One Direction song playing throughout the record company.
Simon looked up at Paul as a thought struck him. What if they had perfect girls to keep the boys out of trouble? Most girls would love to keep the boys out of trouble. "What if we made a quiz."
Paul looked at Simon quizzically. "A quiz?"
Simon sighed. "Yes Paul, a quiz. We will make a worldwide quiz on a popular quiz site for a very short time. The girls who take it will be searching to see who their One Direction dream guy is. The quiz will be set up to feel the guys needs but hopefully keep them out of trouble. The first girl that gets a member will have an information window and then we can gather them and fix this catastrophe!"
Paul looked at the older man and sighed. "And you'll think that this will work?"
"Yes I do. We can send the boys and the girls to my exclusive result in the mountains to get to know each other and do some trust exercises. By the end of holiday, they will be ready for the tabloids and it will cancel out the bad with the beautiful new girlfriends of One Direction."
Paul smiled a bit at the man. "Well, if you think it will work, let's call technology to set up this quiz and put this plan into action."
Simon smiled brightly and pushed a green button. "Katharine, can you send me Gregory from technology? Can you also call the boys here as well? Thanks"
"What do you mean a quiz?" Harry said with a raised tone. It was clear that the boys were a bit unsure about the idea but some of the boys voices their opinions more than others.
"We are about to put up a quiz that will get each of you a girl that will be a perfect match for you. The results will be calculated and the score has to be 80% or higher for the computer to send the result and trigger the information window. The recipients of the results will be close to perfect. The quiz window will only have one minute to be accessed. Ages are also a big question as well." Gregory from technology spoke and Harry sat down grudgingly.
"Boys, we have to resolve this tabloids fiasco or your careers will be finished." Simon said hoping to get through the boys.
After a small silence, Simon heard small murmurs of agreement.
"I'm glad we are to an understanding. Let's open the quiz window, shall we?"
