Patiently Impatient

Nadie looked at him and nodded. "Gotcha," she said as she leaned her head down against his shoulder. She was flipping aimlessly through channels trying to find something that would catch their attention. "So what is patrol like?" she asked the question popping into her head.

Paul wrapped an arm around her and held her close to him. "I love you," he whispered to her as he kissed her forehead then her nose and finally her lips. She was perfect to him, he thought as he smiled down at her. He kissed her again before laying back and looking at the ceiling.

Embry smirked down at her, "it's like running a marathon." He told her, really not knowing how to describe it. But he loved it none the less. "How can I explain running as a wolf." He chuckled.

Riley cuddled closer to him, basking in his kiss. "I love you too." She murmured, resting her head against his chest. She was utterly spent.

Nadie watched him and nodded. "Okay," she said softly. "And all of your brothers? They can hear all of your thoughts right?" she asked curiously as she continued to watch him, trying to understand.

Paul looked at her and smiled gently. "Get some sleep love," he whispered as he pulled the covers over them and held her close to him. This was how he wanted to go to sleep everyday.

Embry frowned turning to look at her, he didn't know where she was going with this. But he knew from Jared's thoughts that Kim had flipped when she found out. "It's more than that." He informed her. "It's like seeing images of what we've do, every day." He told her. "Even fleeting thoughts." He informed her.

Riley yawned, not needing to be told twice. Cuddling closer to him she felt herself drift out into a peaceful slumber.

Nadie looked at him and nodded. "So they know everything you think about...so basically anything I tell you will get back to them?" she asked curiously as she continued to watch him.

Paul watched her drift off to sleep with a smile on his face before his eyes closed as well and he fell into one of the most relaxing sleeps he had had in a while.

Embry shrugged. "I guess." He looked at her, "why?" He asked, slightly worried that she'd not tell him important things. Afraid that she would pull away because his brother's would find out about it.

Nadie looked at him and rolled her eyes slightly. "I can physically see you over thinking this," she teased. "I'm just trying to understand what being a wolf is like," she said. "That's all now stop worrying so much jeez," she said as she pushed herself off the couch and walked into the kitchen.

Embry bit his lip as he watched her walk away, he hoped that's all it was. He didn't want to have to start prying, he knew that it puts enough stress on a relationship if there was no trust. And not having the ability to keep a secret pushes boundaries with any couple.
