Criminal Intentions

Carmen was seated behind the desk at the bookshop, her eyes flitted up towards the door when it jingled announced someone had walked through the door. "Hello," she said with a smile on her face, but he fell when she saw two of the men were holding guns - they all wore a serious expression on their face.

"C-can I help you?" she murmured softly as she looked at them her eyes wide with fear. Were they here to rob them? they didn't have much money, they were a local book store so they didn't make near enough to be robbed.

"Where is Matthew Johnson?" the shorter male with owl eyes spoke as he walked to the desk resting his gun on the cabinet.

"Daddy," she said softly and the man walked out of the back of the store his eyes wide.

"Times up, where is our money Matthew?" he asked as he slid his black gloves over his hands with a sigh waiting to hear words he must have heard a thousand times.

@ Zhang Yixing;

Luhan knocked on the door of the office, a smile on his face.

"Come in," The voice called, from the other side of the office. It sounded bored, uninterested, but it usually did when there was nothing happening.

Luhan opened the door, smiling at the man at the desk. "Kris, Nali's back." He said with a smile, half leaning on the door frame.

Kris smiled, standing from his chair and getting up. He hadn't seen his sister in years, he had been so close with her growing up, she had been his best friend, until they suddenly lost touch. "Nali? Is she here?" He asked walking around his desk to Luhan.

Luhan shook his head. "She'll be here tonight, she's on a plane now. She left voicemail on my phone, she'll be here at around 10."

Carmen looked at her father, "Daddy what are they talking about?" she asked and he rubbed his face then looked at the male whom he came eye to eye with. He stood beside his daughter.

"I have half the money," he told her him lightly as he pulled it from the safe under the desk then handed him the envolope.

"You know what Kris said, all of it or we take colateral," he told him hissing lightly as he picked up the evolope filled with twenty thousand dollars.

"We charge interest by the day," he told him reminding him.

"I haven't had time to collect the rest, I have to keep this place up and running, you know that," Matthew told them with wide eyes.

"Tao, Xiumin," Kyungsoo ordered them, "Grab her," he told them and the two men walked behind the desk.

"Daddy!" she said panicked as the two men came for her she tossed her book hitting the lanky man in the nose but the shorter one grabbed her heaving her over his shoulder.

"You will have her back once we have our money, she'll be well taken care of," Kyungsoo spoke as he walked out of the book shop with the money in his hand.

@ Zhang Yixing;

He nodded and smiled, going back to sit behind his desk. He hardly ever felt this happy. Nali was always able to make him smile. He looked at Luhan and sighed. "Are Kyungsoo, Tao, and Xiu back yet? I sent them to collect some money from this store owner who's owed me for years." He said shaking his head.

Luhan shook his head in response. "They aren't. I'm sure they'll be back soon," He said with a nod. Kris sighed and ran a hand through his hair, getting back up to stare out the window of his office, the cold tenseness returning to his body. "They better," He said.

Carmen was put into the back of the car and they climbed in on either side of her trapping her into the car, zip ties were put on her hands to keep her from lashing out. "Hurry it up, Tao and drive before she kills us," Xiumin said quickly as he locked the door the man standing outside looking lost as what to do.

Carmen was panicking - she was pretty sure she was going to into shock, and there was nothing she could do. They had guns, they could easily kill her without a second though. Where were they going, would they starve her, would they really take care of her? So much running through mind, that she had forgotten to breath properly.

@ Zhang Yixing;

He looked over his shoulder expressionlessly, looking towards Luhan. "Call them, make sure they're on their way," He said boredly, his eyes returning to the street outside. He hated when clients didn't pay on time. They got nervous, frantic, because they put precious things for collateral and end up losing them more often than not.

Luhan nodded and went out of the room, pulling out his cell phone and dialing Kyungsoo. "Is it done?" He asked seriously. This man had borrowed a huge sum of money from Kris, and put his only daughter up as collateral. He knew Kris would have to deal with her, they took hostages all of the time, but it was annoying having to keep them up and cared for while their loved ones attempted to come up with the money. They didn't let themselves get attached, because after a while, they got turned over to Kyungsoo who sold them off, and were never seen again.

Carmen shook the man to her lefts hands off her arm, "Don't touch me!" she told him with with a scowl even though she was scared. She didn't want him to touch her, she didn't want to be touched - she'd never thought her father was this much of an idiot.

He'd told her he'd gotten a loan from the bank, not a loan shark. How could he do something so idiotic. Carmen was pulled out of the car and dragged into the house by her arm.

Luhan lowered his phone, hearing the door open and hanging up. He looked over the landing and saw the guys dragging in a bound and struggling girl. He sighed, the man didn't have the money. It wasn't his problem. He closed the door to Kris's office 3/4 of the way and stood out of the way so they could take her to Kris.

Kris heard the open and sighed, keeping his eyes on the ground outside. Another person he'd need to keep until he was paid or he got tired and gave them to Kyungsoo to sell off. It was no longer his problem once he gave them to Kyungsoo.

Carmen scowled lightly and removed her arm from the mans grasp then looked at the floor, she was pretty sure the room was spinning for a moment but she lifted her eyes and looked around the room. There were several men in the room, all of them had guns - well she definitely wasn't running from the room.

"I don't understand," she whispered softly as she looked at the seeminly most important man in the room. He was behind a big desk that screamed 'I'M IMPORTANT' so she figured he was the man in charge.

@ Zhang Yixing;

Kris sighed keeping his eyes out the window. "What is it you don't understand? The fact that you now belong to me unless your father can come up with the rest of the money he owes me? Or the fact that he put you up as collateral?" He asked, turning to look at her coldly. He raised his eyebrows at her and shrugged. "Both of those facts are true and you will be staying here until his debt it paid. You can try to run, but I guarantee you, someone will shoot you." He said a bored edge to his tone.

"But I .. I don't.. have anything to do with this," Carmen told him meekly, she didn't ask for this. Her entire life was turned over because of her father - would he even try to pay off the debt, would they kill her.

"I have money, in the bank... Its not much but take it if it will help," She told them lightly as she looked at him. "Please, I didn't know about this I'll do whatever you want to wipe his debt,"

@ Zhang Yixing;

He narrowed his eyes coldly and shook his head. "There isn't anything you can do, the deal was made, and now your father needs to pick up his end." He said, his eyes returning to the outside. "Take her to a room, I'm done with her as of now." He said dismissively, and Tao grabbed her arm again, dragging her out of his office.

Carmen was dragged into a room and she was pushed to the bed forced to sit down. The tall man cut the zip tie on her wrist then moved to walk out of the room, "Wait!" she said to him and he stopped.

"yes?" he mumbled lightly.

"Please tell me someone grabbed my purse?" she asked him quietly.

"Do we look like we grabbed your purse?" he raised an eyebrow.

"No," she murmured softly, "I have medicine I need in there or I'll get really sick," Carmen explained, and he sighed a little then walked out of the room locking the door behind him. Kris wouldn't be happy to know this, but he figured suho could get the medicine she needed. He'd have him go in there and ask her about it later.

@ Zhang Yixing;

Kris turned away from the window, looking at Kyungsoo who stepped forward. "How much did he give you?" He asked him, leaning back in his chair. He noticed Tao as he walked back into the room and gestured for him to stay as Kyungsoo spoke. He turned to Tao. "Did she put up a fight?" He asked him. "Keep her in line if she does," He added.

"She said something about her needing a medicine, or she'll be sick," Tao told him lightly as he looked at him, "I should speak to Suho since he can get anything she'd possibly need, right?" he offered as he looked between the two men. The last thing they needed was dead collateral.

@ Zhang Yixing;

He nodded and looked at him. "Take care of it, I don't want to be bothered by it. Feed her as well, she can have dinner when the rest of us eat, but give her something now." He said to him and Tao nodded, backing out of the room. He went through his papers and pulled the father's file, learning her name. He wondered why she was put up for collateral but soon lost interest.

Tao went back to the room and knocked on the door, letting himself in a second later. "What's the name of the medication?"

Carmen looked at him then told him the name of it, then looking down at her hands. There wasn't much for her to do right now so she laid on the bed on her side just waiting for this to all be over - surely he'd just go to the police right? She was technically kidnapped. Technically. Would they help him though?

Tao nodded, texting the name of the medicine to Suho and looking at her. "Are you hungry? I can get you something now or later," He said quietly. He was the member of the group in charge of assassination, but he also cared a lot about the others, and the hostages they sometimes had to have. With his childhood, he could relate to them. He knew what it was like to be trapped, kidnapped, and to feel alone. So he dealt with them more often than not.

"I'm not really hungry," Carmen told him softly as she looked at him then at her hands, "Why are they doing this? Why is my life like this because my father made a deal? It isn't fair," she murmured softly as her eyes watered, she hide her face in the sheets.
