omfg no hot water haha! I could see the no hot water applying to a communal shower, the girls go in first, they're already feeling embarrassed at having to share a shower then they turn the water on only to be dosed with cold water, the boys hear five girls squealing in horror xD

I'm already used with showering with no hot water because Malaysia is a hot country so we really don't need hot water. So I guess my character won't really have problem with it.

My friends and I got thinking. Lol! (I'm sorry, I always talk to them about stories because sometimes they have the best ideas ever!)

Anyway, they give this suggestion, like, they stay at one girl's place at a time. Example, for the first two week, they stay at New Zealand and the next two week, they go to another place and rotate like that. Am I being clear?

Yeah I like that! I actually had a scene in my head with Zayn and my OC where everyone goes to the museum and we all end up spliting up and they have a cute fluffy scene together :3 Ahhh pure fluff <3

I've never done a story with 5 writers before, can I be walked through how posting and stuff will work? :O

Usually we come up with a posting order and that's how we always post chapters. It's like a rotation. Like:
Katie
Jewel
Lina
Esther
Jordy
And then it goes back up to me and we repeat!

I'm thinking my character might be French, since I have minimal experience with the language. But I've never been there, so the research should be fun. Or maybe French is too... I don't know, boring?

Also, just to add to the "no hot water" thing - when I was in China, the public toilets were literally just a hole in the ground. So for five spoiled boys used to lavish hotels, something like that could be a real culture shock.

For the contest (unless it's already been decided), what if the producers for the show come up with the idea, then pick five countries out of a proverbial hat, and then the girls get the chance to apply from there? Or if it's marketed as something else, like hosting a foreign exchange group and then bam! We were just kidding guys, you're actually hosting One Direction.

That sounds perfect and maybe during the stay the girl from the host country plans what's going to happen and acts as the "tour guide" type. At least I think that'd make more sense to add to the story because the other girls and the guys don't know much about other countries besides their own. The girls could be like a "representation" of their own countries? If that makes sense.

Yeah... and adding to Jewel's idea. Probably the country the girls are from has already been decided by a voting system or something. And then, each country hosts some kind of contests for the Directioners and the winners get to represent their own country.

As for the posting order. Can I be last? I would love to see what others had written first.

I'm game for what everyone else wants to do! I kind of like the idea of them not knowing because, let's be real, I don't think the boys would want to get stuck with some of the more, erm... passionate Directioners. But like I said, whatever everyone else decides is fine by me!

I think I'll make my OC more toward the naive side, so she doesn't really listen to their music or know them, but gets to through the contest, or will it be weird that she's naive?

I don't think it'll be weird. Lol! And she'll be like, "why is everyone already know these people?" And she gets confused when the others are surprised to see the boys.

How long are we going to have them stay at each girl's country? And are they staying at the girls' actual home or somewhere else in the country?

I think two weeks for each country is enough. Like, it's not too long and not too short. The first week's gonna be the hardest because they have to get used to the new surroundings. And the second week, they'll start to really have fun. And it'll be better if they stay at the girls' actual home, I guess. Especially since the girls are going to teach the boys about their lifestyle and culture, right?

One week? Or two? and as much as I'd say it'd be cool if they all stayed at the girl's houses, realistically would there be enough room? My house.. hmmm it'd be a tight squeeze but it'd be doable

I think the only problem with them staying in their home would be that the odds of them having a home big enough to house everyone would be really slim
