I think it should depends on what more activities they can do while they're staying there. I mean if there are a lot of things can be done and learn, they can stay there for the whole two weeks. Or if not, they can stay just for a week and spend the other week travelling the other parts of New Zealand.

I got my character done!

Molly Davies was born and raised in a town halfway between Orlando and the coast. Having lived in the area all her life, she is used to dealing with tourists year round. Everyone around her knows her as a little ray of sunshine, and there is rarely a time when she isn't happy. She always tries to look on the bright side of things, and it's not hard when she gets to spend most of her time in the sun. She is a very social person and hates to be alone, which is only good to a fault. Her biggest downfall is that she is too trusting, and it often leads her into getting into relationships and friendships with bad people. She always tries to see the good in them, so it's hard for her to let go, even when everyone around her sees what's wrong with them.

Molly is currently in between high school and college, and is still deciding what she wants to do with her life. She's taking a year off from school, much to her parents' dismay, because she wants to explore the world. She sees the contest as the perfect opportunity to see new places without her costing a dime. She works at a small surf shop part time to save up money to travel, and even though she doesn't make much, she saves every penny she can. She can't wait to be one of the tour guides so she can show everyone what her area has to offer.

I plan on making my character take them to the north side of Peninsular Malaysia. There are three states in that area, Penang, Kedah and Perlis. I'm leaning more towards Perlis though because it's near the border of Thailand and there are a lot of interesting things there. Especially the paddy fields. I probably am gonna make them stay in a homestay kinda place and make them work at the paddy field or something. Help the villagers cook for a ceremony, stuff like that.

And I'm also gonna make her take them to the east coast side of the Peninsular Malaysia. But I'm not sure whether I'm gonna write about the east side of the east coast or the west side. The east side has beaches and a lot of seafood which is sooooo amazing! And in the east side, it's more rural area with very little accommodation, lots of forests and farms and such.

All right, I'm 99% sure this is the final draft of my character:

Noémie Mallory Cazé is 20 years old and in her third year of architecture studies at the École d'Architecture Marne-la-Vallée in the eastern part of Paris. She was born and raised in Grenoble, which is where her part of the story will take place. She's a bit of a free spirit; she doesn't like being told what to do and has a rebellious streak. She's very into fashion and her appearance, which makes her come off as shallow and stuck-up at times. While that can be true, she's generally a bit shy and introverted.

(I'm not sure which plot we're going with between the signing up for the contest or it being disguised as something else, so I'll leave that part out for now and add to it later.)

Grenoble is at the base of the French Alps, so there's a bunch of cool tourist-y things there: The Bastille, the Grenoble-Bastille Cable Cars, a bunch of museums, there are a ton of ski resorts, there are three professional sports teams so there's the option of catching a game, and a bunch of theaters as well.
