"Well, that's surprising," Laurel said before finishing up her mac and cheese and placing the bowl in the sink. She wondered if maybe Peter's mystery girl was one of the 'couple of people' and assumed that she probably was. No one in their right mind would not tell him if they were in a situation where it was appropriate. Hell, Laurel was in a situation where it was inappropriate and she still did it. "So, when will you have to leave?" Laurel asked.
When Steve got back to his apartment, he let out a long sigh as he pulled off his jacket and crashed onto the sofa. He couldn't believe how exhausting of a day it had been when in reality it should have just been like all the others. He though all of the craziness was over after what happened in New York, but apparently he was wrong. They were all wrong. He kicked his feet up on the table and rested his arms against the back of his head. Under normal circumstances, he would have turned on the television, but he needed to be able to hear everything he could.
