White Pearl

I sighed a little, pulling my hood further over my head to cover my face, and cried quietly. It would take a miracle for me to find someone and fall in love, especially with nothing to offer. Marissa had someone, who would take her no matter what. I had nothing. It wasn't okay. I couldn't even smile at the fact that I was free.

She sighed as they slowed down, they had been going for over a day now and she was exhausted from traveling. They'd crossed two different country lines - and she wished they could rest. She knew they wouldn't come look for her this far out of the way, "IS this it?" she asked softly.

Yixing nodded as he turned down the familiar road. "Yes, we're almost home, wake her up. We're not even 10 minutes away." He said as he steered them down the dirt road. He was exhausted, he hadn't really slept since they left.

She nodded a little and kissed his cheek lightly before touching Jazmin's shoulder."Hey... we're almost there," she said to her.

I rubbed my eyes and sat up, looking around. I was completely out of my element. I had no idea where we were or how long I had been asleep. "Okay," I muttered tiredly, running a hand through my hair.

Yixing smiled when she kissed him, pulling onto his land. He owned quite a bit of land, so they would live comfortably, because he knew she wasn't used to housework and he could hire someone if he needed to.

She sighed a little as he came to a stop in front of a decent sized house. "Wow, this is beautiful," she said softly as she looked at him.

He smiled as he pulled up. "Thank you. My father was a very good farmer and did well in keeping savings. I can only hope I can offer you half as good a life as you deserve." He murmured as he stopped the wagon in front of the house.

I sighed silently as I looked at the house. It was a nice home, we would be comfortable here, not pampered like we were used to, but comfortable nonetheless.

She smiled,"This is perfect," she said softly as she looked at him then sighed a little as she climbed off the wagon.

He held his hand out to her, helping her down. He helped Jazmin down and grabbed their things, heading to the house. "I had a friend watching it for me, so it should be just like I left it." He said, going inside.

I followed them inside, looking around. It was a nice house, it was warm. I went inside and looked around, carrying my bag on my shoulder.

"I'll show you around," He said, gesturing for them to follow him upstairs.

She sighed and smiled as they walked inside of the house,"It's perfect, we can set up a small farming area in the back to grow our own food," she said to him ,"You'll have to teach me,"

He shook his head. "No, We have a farm. We'll have our own food, and sell it too." He said s he pointed out rooms. He pointed to one and smiled. "This will be your room," He smiled at Jazmin. He pulled Marissa out and down the hall, and up a small flight of stairs. "And this will be our room." He smiled at her.

I went inside my room and ssat down on the bed, looking at the ceiling. This was it. I had officially given everything up.

She looked at him,"Ours?" she said softly as she walked into the bedroom licking over her lips lightly, "It's nice," she nodded,"Homey," she said to him gently.

He nodded as he looked at her. "Yes, but I can give you another room if youre uncomfortable sleeping with me right now. We can wait until we're married if it makes you more comfortable." He shrugged.

She nodded,"It's fine, really," she said to him softly, "Something I'll just have to get used to... who is going to marry us?" she asked him softly.

He shrugged. "Well, we can go to town or have the minister come out here, whichever you prefer. And we can wait a while if you want to, I ddont' want to rush you."

She looked at him and nodded a bit, "I want to be a good wife, I know how to sew and cross stitch but.. not much else," she murmured weakly.

He smiled. "I know that. So If you want, I can hire a maid to be around to teach you if you want to, but I'm more than happy getting a maid so you can be doted on like you deserve to be. I know you don't know how to do housework, but I am more than okay with you never learning how if you don't want to." He said with a shrug.

She looked at him,"I want to be able to do these things myself," she told him softly as she gathered his hands in her own.

He nodded. "That's perfectly fine. I'll be working during the day, but I'm sure I can get someone to come so you can shadow her for a while until you're comfortable. I just want you to he happy, so if you didn't want to learn, I would be fine with it."
