Claire jumped when she heard them slam the door open. She looked up, her eyes widening as she saw someone injured. "Claire bear, go get your dad." She heard her dad's friend say. She got up and ran into the next room her black hair swaying. "Daddy! Havik!!" She yelled coming I to the room. "Someone's injured." She told him. She ran a hand through her hair pushing them past her face. She had in a tank and shorts her tattoos showing

Havik got up then followed her down the stairs. He frowned when he saw the guy laying on bleeding. Havik looked at the guy then cut open his shirt. Claire's dad looked at the guys, "What the hell happened?" He asked. Havik sighed as he started to clean the guy up a little bit. Havik sighed as he tried to make the bleeding stop.

Claire got some bandages and gauze and such. She got all the medical supplies they would need. She got them to Havik and looked at the wound. She was taking courses to be a nurse. She started to clean the wound up. She then cleaned it out. She bit her lip and started to sew it closed. She made sure it was cleaned. She then started to wrap it up to make sure the bleeding stopped.

Havik frowned as he listened to who had caused this. He got up then walked into his room. Havik grabbed his gun and started to load it. He was going to take care of whoever did this. Havik sighed when he heard his door open him. Part of him knew that it would be Claire coming to tell him that he was making a bad decision. Though it never stopped him.

Claire saw Havik stand and sighed. She cleaned up the guy patting his hand. She went back to Havik's room. She opened his door and sighed seeing him. "Don't.." She told him hugging herself. "You could get hurt...or in trouble..." She told him looking at her feet. She frowned.

Havik looked at her, "They almost killed Bryce i'm going to find the bastard and put him where he belongs." He said as he pulled his jacket on. "I'm sick of this shit and i'm not letting them get away with it." He sad. He looked at Claire, "Stay here." He said.

Claire sighed shaking her head. She heard his words and grabbed his hand. "Don't come back hurt." She whispered her hand still in his as she gripped it. "Don't..." She looked up at him with tears in her eyes.

Havik looked at her, "I will be fine." HE said. He pulled his arm away then walked out of the house. He put his hands in his pockets as he walked. He smirked when he saw the guy on the street. Havik walked over to him and shot the guy. He took off running then cut down the alley.

Claire sighed looking down. She knew the others were dead tired and had probably gone to bed after that. She sat down on Havik's bed and hugged herself. She took off her shirt and got one of his sweaters and put it on and then laid down in his bed wishing him back.

Havik made his way to the house and walked inside. He pulled his jacket off then walked inside, "Hey" He said once he got into his room.He took his gun off of himself then laid it on the dresser. He looked at Claire, "He's gone." He said as he got ready for bed. He sat down then ran his fingers through his hair.

Claire saw him walk in and sighed in relief. She waited until he was sitting down to hug him tightly. "You've gotta stop doing this." She whispered as she hugged him tightly burying her face in his chest.

Havik put his arm around her, "I have been doing this for most of my life I'm not gonna stop now." He said a she kissed her forehead.

"Doesn't mean you can't get killed Havik!" She said tears coming to her eyes. She wiped at them furiously. "Just because -hiccup- that you've been doing It a long time doesn't mean you can't get murdered." She said holding onto him trying hard not to cry.

Havik frowned, "If that happens then it happens Claire. You know how thing go in this life so quit acting like you are new to this." He said. Havil knew that he was being harsh but that's just how he was. He really didn't know how to show love.

Claire shook her head standing up suddenly. She sighed and said, "No it just doesn't happen Havik! If I lose one of you, Dad or you, I'm going to be devastated. Maybe you don't know why and that's fine but just know it might just kill me." She tossed his sweater onto his face as she got her own back on. She then headed for the door, tears streaming down her face.

Havik looked down at his hands as she walked out. He groaned as he laid back on his bed. Sure a normal person would have went after her but not Havik. The next day he walked down and made himself cereal. He sat at the table and ate silently.

Claire stayed in bed that morning not feeling well. She didn't know if it had been about last night or simply because she felt ill. She didn't really care which. She curled up into a ball as she pulled the blanket over herself shivering.

Havik walked into Claires room and sat down next to her. "Hey you alright?" He asked. He figured he should at least try to be nice. Havik smiled as he ran his fingers through her hair.

Claire looked up at him and coughed into her hand. She shivered coldly. She had a fever. She was just getting an infection or something. She sighed, "I don't know. I don't feel well at all." She said moving closer to him since he was warm. She shivered again and curled up further.
