Then You Found Me

Alexandre nodded nervously, looking away from her. He was afraid that if she became uncomfortable around him, that he would have to leave. He didn't want to leave. It had been so long since he had been around another human, and the thought of losing that was scary.
It's not that he didn't have a place to go, because he did. If anything, the place was probably way safer than where they were currently staying, but it was the fact that he wouldn't see her every day that scared him.

Annabell blushed and stood. "We'll just find space for a bed for you." She said making her way into the kitchen her chest tightening and a lump in her throat forming. She didn't think rejection could hurt this bad. She hadn't ment to make him uncomfortable. She stood at the sink her hands grasping the sink wall as she tried not to cry. It was silly of her. Even though they where the last she shouldn't assume anything. They had only know eachother about a month anyways.

Alexandre looked towards her when she left. Had he said something wrong? He could tell that she was clearly upset about something, but what was it? He thought that maybe she wouldn't be comfortable having to sleep next to him. He chewed nervously on his bottom lip, wanting to go after her but was afraid that she would yell at him or tell him to get out.

Annabell felt a tear fall and she ran a hand through her hair trying to calm down. She turned on the water and splashed her face. She dried her face off and sat on the counter holding a leg to her chest her head resting on her knee. Annabell knew she was being silly. She shouldn't have expected him to need her as much as she needed him. Annabell needed his comfort of just being there. She had wanted someone to wake up beside and reach out to remind herself that she was still alive and she was not alone. There had been to many nights she woke up screaming from the memories, from the loneliness.

Alexandre decided that he had definitely upset her, and that he should try to fix whatever he did, even if it got him kicked out of her apartment. He stood up from his spot on the cough and walked towards her. He stood outside of the kitchen door, feeling guilty about whatever he had done. "Annabelle? I'm sorry," He starts, his voice slightly choking up. "I didn't mean to upset you. I'm sorry."

Annabell looked up at him feeling the tears threatening in her eyes. She closed them and looked away. "It's not your fault. I shouldn't have put that pressure on you." She said her voice breaking slightly as she tried to gain control. Annabell couldn't be mad at him. He didn't do anything wrong it was her fault for wanting more then he was willing to give. Annabell had never seen herself as needy before but she had been so lonley.

Alexandre walked into the kitchen and pulled her into a hug, wanting to make her feel better. He didn't know what he did, but felt extremely guilty. He held onto her tightly, his arms wrapped securely around her small body.

Annabell hugged him back her body caving into his relying on him for support and for the first time he saw her break, he saw her weak. Annabell cried into his shoulder her hands gripping his shirt as she clung to him. "I was so lonely and I don't want to go back to that." she whimpered out. Annabell cried for a while before she finally calmed down and just stood there holding him.

Alexandre held her tightly, not letting her go. He nuzzles his face into her hair. "You don't have to be alone anymore," He murmured. "I won't leave unless you want me to."
Alexandre definitely had no intention of letting her go, just holding onto her.

Annabell nodded and sighed as she held him close. "Stay." she whispered and looked up at him her eyes green eyes trying to see inside his soul. She ran her hand up his arm moving it to the back of his neck feeling the heat rising there. She blushed and looked back down her arms around his neck now. It felt so good to be in someone's arms. She wanted this to be a normal thing for them even if it was just as friends. She wanted to be this close to someone and feel safe again.

Alexandre loved the feeling of being this close to another person. It had been months, almost a year since his brother had passed. He was so happy to be able to comfort someone and to have someone do the same for him. "Always." He murmurs back softly.

Annabell smiled softly and sighed as she relaxed. She felt tirred now. After all those tears she was ready to go back to sleep. It was about three in the afternoon but with winter quickly approaching the sun was goinb down earlier and earlier. Annabell yawned softly and sighed. "How long has it been since you watched a movie?" She asked. Ut had been a while for hee but she had there for a long time to just hear people's voices. it had been a real comfort.

Alexandre shrugged slightly, "Probably 3 or 4 years now, why?"
He was taken back by the question, expecting something else. He pulled away from her slightly, looking down at her.

Annabell giggled and took his hand. She pulled him back to the living room and tur ed on the tv picking up a movie and popping it in. "I don't watch them often because it is to much electricity but I thought you might like too." Annabell smiled and sat down as the commercials started.

Alexandre grinned, walking back to the living room. He was quite happy to have something to focus on instead of everything else that was going on. It was a good distraction.

Annabell smiled as he sat down. She curled up in his side looking up for a moment but when he didn't argue she looked back at the screen smiling at the sound of the voices. She missed all that noise. She missed people but now she had Alexandre.

He wrapped an arm around her shoulders, keeping her close to him. He wasn't sure what was going on with the TV, but he was content with all the noise.

Annabell smiled. She could qoute every line of this movie. She had watched it so much. She felt Alexandre's arm and smiled resting her head o his shoulder. This was nice. This was what she had wanted. It was comforting yo be held once again, to listen to someone breath. She listened to the noises of the cars and the people talking, all the things she missed.

Alexandre somehow got Annabell closer to her than he had originally planned, but sighed contently. He gently ran his fingers over her arm, his eyes on the screen.

Annabell smiled and closed her eyes a moment as he caressed her skin. It felt so nice. She glanced up at him smiling more before looking back at the screen. How could someone so gorgeous be here?
