Amanada smiled slightly. "Maybe," she said softly.

Peter's smile widened a little. "Miss, will you please look the other way while I jump out the window?" He asked. He was confused as hell as to what was going on. "Do why I'm here by the way? I got taken in on Xandar... That's another planet by the way. I wasn't like arrested I was visiting and then the Nova Corp asked me to swing by, so did because you know, they might have arrested me and Nova Prime was like Star-Lord you got to go to Earth so I came to Earth and followed all the instructions but nobody has told me what SHIELD wants with me and that Lily woman is terrifying." Peter realised he was rambling and forced himself to shut up.

Amanda nodded her head as Peter rambled. She had to admit, it was kinda adorable. "I might be able to later...just don't go cursing at any other big dudes, okay?" She smiled. "But honestly, I know pretty much the same that you do."

Peter couldn't hide his disappointment at that. "Anyway you can find out why I'm here?"

Amanda thought for a minute. "I'll talk to Lily in awhile, see what I can do. I can't promise anything vital, but I might be able to get at least something."

Peter nodded. Again, he couldn't quite hide his disappointment, which was almost crippling at this point, and lapsed into silence.

Amanda frowned. "I'll go talk to Lily right now, okay?" She spoke, patting Peter's hand.

Peter nodded. He pulled his hand away from Amanda and folded his arms across his chest.

Amanda got up and left the room, heading to Lily's office. She had to admit, she was curious as to why Peter was there as well.

Peter obviously stayed put.

Lily was on the phone to someone, probably her superior, she was having a new one ripped for letting Peter escape in the first place.

Amanda leaned against the doorway, waiting for Lily to finish. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

Lily held up a hand, indicting that Amanda should hold on and keep quiet. "I'm sorry sir, I'm going to have to call you back." She cut off the call and started flicking through a file on her desk. "Would it kill you to knock once in a while?" she asked, sounding bored of the conversation already.

Amanda shook her head. "Why is Quill here? I mean, it just can't be for a visit." She spoke pointedly.

Lily smiled coldly. "I take it he put you up to this?" She went back to shuffling her papers. "Mr Quill will find out in due course why he's here. And until that point, I am not discussing it with anybody."

Amanda rolled her eyes, biting back a snarky response. "Alright, fine." She spun on her heel and headed back to Peter's cell.

Peter was examining the window, trying to figure out if it was too high to jump from.

"Hey," Amanda said softly. "I'm sorry...but Lily refuses to budge."

"Great," Peter muttered. He turned to look at Amanda. "Thanks for trying I guess?"

Amanda sat down in the chair opposite Peter. "She'll reveal it eventually, and when I find out-- if I do before you, you'll be the first person I tell." She said softly. "If you want, I think I know someone who could hack into SHIELD'S computers and find out."
