Fear of the Unknown [Open Role-play]

SERINDA GRISSOM

Serinda rubbed her hands up and down her arms, glancing fearfully about her. "I don't know much about what's going on, either." In all honesty, she was lucky to even manage to obtain a werewolf - well, if the woman agreed to be her bodyguard. Serinda was extremely poor and usually got by with the help of various animal companions. However, by the grace of a much older and especially kind vampire, she'd been basically given the opportunity to pick her own werewolf. If she had any idea of the actual circumstances, she might have refused. It's lovely to meet you," she said, warmed by the reception she'd gotten so far. "Uh..." A light blush rose to her cheeks (though she was technically dead, blood still flowed through her body as it normally would - even if it wasn't exactly her blood), and she shuffled a bit. "I don't really have a home to go to. So...we can go wherever you want to. Just...lead the way." Serinda wasn't a leader and probably never would be - she looked to others for guidance, even if it meant she would be mislead. "I'm Serinda, by the way."

MADELINE ANDREWS

Madeline nodded and chewed on her lip for a moment, it was a bad habit of hers that she really needed to stop doing. "Well, then maybe when we figure out a place to get situated we should figure it out." Wringing her hands together she motioned for the vampire to follow her, waiting for the other shoe to drop. And she definitely noticed the color rise to her cheeks, but decided not to mention it, for now. And she didn't want to catch herself thinking that it was cute. Especially since she's a werewolf and her, now owner, was a vampire. Just thinking of it was horrible, and Madeline had trouble even standing the soulless creatures. "Serinda," she breathed, testing the name on her tongue. It was a very nice name, Madeline kind of liked it. "I like your name," she finally said, stopping and turning to look at Serinda. "And I hope you don't mind, but the house we're going to be staying in is kind of abandoned, but it's still able to be occupied, for now." Grabbing her hand, she started dragging her to the house faster, just so she could get the formalities over with.

Orion looked at his wood with an impartial face, and then shifted his glance to her, and back to his wound- or rather lack there of. He then straightened himself, and said- in a deep, yet sultry voice," And all of my pack would be able to use your healing hand when the need would arise? Because if we are fighting whatever is disturbing you, we may very well need that help. Not all of my pack are expert fighters. Most are very good- but not all are. If we are all going to be used as your bodyguards, you should know that you may not think of this as slavery, and you will need to help us in this." He paused again, then, and continued," We probably would have been willing to help if you had made us an offer like the use of your ability, rather than capturing us. But that is already a matter of the past that cannot be altered. Regardless, I will convene with my pack, and discuss this. But, before that, I would like to ask you- are any of the other vampires capable of anything else that may be useful, despite that it is not the healing ability?"

Aster Hazelwood

It had been hours since Aster woke up inside of the basement, tied up with sturdy metal. The drugs that been injected inside of her bloodstream kept her strength dormant and her mind clouded. All she could muster was a glare at the murmurings of the vampires. After locking eyes with one of the vampires, Aster saw him say something before two vampires approached her, knocking her out once more.

"Well how about to start off with protection for my pack. For if whatever is coming after you finds out that we are helping you. They might just want to come after us to leave you unprotected." he said as he ran his hand through his curly hair wishing he was home so he could clean up then go to sleep in his own bed and forget about these stupid vampires.

Trinity nodded as she still fought to sit up straight. "Yes, I promise. I will help your pack in any way I can. I would never treat any of you as slaves." she stated. "My ancestors used to tell stories to me about when vampires and werewolves lived in peace and helped one another when they were in need." Taking in a deep breath as she thought. "The other vampires that have also taken on a werewolf as a bodyguard, one is able to control and speak with animals, another is able to show her memories to others, then one is able to read minds, then the last does not know of her power as of yet. If you have a problem with the male being able to read your mind I may show you a way that will make it harder for him to get inside your head." Trinity said as she tried to reposition herself. "When we get to my home you may call or even leave to speak to your pack if you wish. For you are not a slave in my home."

Dimitri Adams
Dimitri stared at the woman who seemed to be still knocked out, but truly he wasn't sure since he was unable to hear her thoughts. Moving closer to her he unties her and sat a bottle of water in her cup holder on her door. Dimitri grew tired of waiting for her to wake so he placed his hand on her shoulder and gently shook her.

Orion nodded at her, and said," Regardless, those powers will most likely come in handy in the battle against... Whatever we will be fighting against." Orion paused, then, and said," I've also heard of this time when we were not hostile to each other. But, sadly, with power comes jealousy, and soon thereafter, hostility. Regardless, I think that you should definitely show me how to work against the thought-reading powers of the one vampire." He then thought briefly, and said," I will probably have to leave later in the evening to gather the pack and make sure that we are all in an understanding so one of your vampires doesn't irritate their bodyguard enough to the point that they get killed because of it, instead of protected. Speaking of which, all of the other vampires are understanding of this arrangement, correct?"

Lucetta's brows dipped together at his request, obviously thinking about his words. "There are many werewolves in the world... more than vampires, even," she finally said. "They haven't attacked wolves so far, only targeting vampires, and they don't know who any of you are or what pack you belong to. It would be a waste of resources to attempt to attack even one pack, much less multiple," she told him after a moment of silence. "They won't attack your pack, so I won't waste resources. However, should this mysterious enemy begin targeting wolves, I will offer your pack protection," she compromised. She wasn't completely unreasonable, and was perfectly willing to make a few sacrifices to save herself considerable trouble in the future.

Bracing herself up in her seat as she gained some of her strength back, the rest will have to wait till she was able to feed. "They have been told of it, but if you wish I shall call a meeting while you are away. To make sure they know if they abuse or hurt anyone from your pack they will have to deal with me. For not all of them are happy about having werewolves protecting them and having to treat them as an equal as I may be." Trinity said as she gave him a sad smile. "I will not be able to have the meeting tonight, for by the time we get to my house and I am able to....regain my strength. It will be daylight and I'm the only vampire that is able to walk during the day. So it will have to wait, but do not worry about leaving me while you are gone. For if something happens to me I will make sure no harm will come to you."

Orion nodded, and then said," Well, it might be for the collaborative better that we actually all come to meet together to make sure everyone is heard and such. On the other hand, it might be better if each group meets separately first so as to squash any possible negative biases before we bring them all together. Although, if it was all of us together, there would probably be less of a chance that something could happen by the works of... Whatever is hunting your people. What do you think?"

"I guess you are in the dark on this one. For all the wolves that were in the room with me when I awoke were from my pack." Falcon said as he stared her in the eyes. "So I guess what I'm saying is if you don't protect them and treat me with respect, I will not protect you or treat you with respect." he said flatly before breaking eye contact and looking out the window.

Thinking for a moment she looked over at him. "Maybe it would be best if I go with you, then I will be able to help whoever wanted or needed to protect their mind from Dimitri, also I will be able to answer any questions they may have." Trinity asked more than stating it as such. "By the way my name is Trinity." she said with a soft smile.

Lucetta
Lucetta let out a sigh. She wasn't particularly known for her patience, and obviously dealing with a wolf on a daily basis was going to require plenty of that... luckily, self control shouldn't be too hard of a thing to accomplish. As long as she remained... well, herself... then there shouldn't be any problems. Most under her in her household knew of Lulu in some aspect or another, but it was something of a secret. The wolf could encounter her, but Lucetta would attempt to make sure he didn't. She considered Lulu a monster that needed to be kept in a cage.

Silence was a close companion for a good while before she finally spoke again. "My name is Lucetta, just so you know." She watched him then and waited.

"Falcon." he said realizing she would probably begin to ask if he had not answered her.

As he sat he thought of his family and how worried they must be let alone how vulnerable they would be with so many pack members taken a once. Falcon only hoped that the others were able to get some protection for the pack and themselves,

Orion nodded, and reached across the way to hold his hand out to her. "My name is Orion." After he shook her hand, he pulled back, and thought for a moment. "I think that will probably be a good idea. Although, if that's the case, I think that it will need to wait for me to get together with the rest of the pack, since you need to feed. Speaking of which, do you want help in that way? I'm not sure if you need specifically human blood, but if not, I could bring back a large animal for you or something of the sort."

Jolting awake, Aster quickly smacked away the man's hand with a confused expression, still completely disoriented. She took a moment to adjust to her surroundings as the drugs started to wear off in her system. "D-Don't touch me. What do you want?" She questioned in a mumble since the man obviously didn't want her dead otherwise he would have done so already.

Trinity nodded. "That's fine, do what you think is best for your pack." she said with a small smile. "If you wouldn't mind getting me and animal, for I don't feed from humans." she said before changing the subject "If you don't have time though I could go out and hunt for an animal myself." Looking out the window Trinity smiled softly. "We will be there in about five minutes."

Dimitri nodded and placed his hand back on his lap. "You're here to protect me. But now that you are awake, why can't I hear your thoughts? Are you blocking them from me somehow?" he asked curious as to the reason why.

"I wouldn't mind," Orion said, nodding. He cracked his neck, and then said," If you live anywhere near the woods, give me... Five, to ten minutes to get a buck back to you. If I can pick up its scent, then it will only take a few minutes. By the way, do you happen to need it to be back alive or will you simply be draining it regardless?"

Trinity smiled a bit as they came upon her house. "As you can tell." she said inclining her head to the house in front of them. "The whole back of the house is wooded."
Trinity looked back towards Orion. "I never kill the poor animals that I must feed on to survive, they never did anyone harm."
Pausing for a moment as she looked into Orion's eyes. "Why are you being so kind to me?

Orion nodded as he overlooked the house. He looked up at her, then, and made a serious face when she asked about his kindness. He opened the door, but didn't break eye contact as he said to her," Because I know how it feels to be hunted." He then silently and swiftly rose out of the car, and shut the door behind him before suddenly disappearing through the use of his super speed, the residual breeze kicking up the leaves on the ground. In a matter of minutes, he had managed to find a collection of vine, and use it to snare a buck and lead it back to the house.

Trinity got out of the car and walked slowly to the front of the house. She sat quietly on the porch, for there was no real reason to go inside for everyone would be asleep. Not that she only had vampires in her home just that it was still quite early in the morning.
Trinity sat watching the sun rise, feeling the warmth of it hit her skin as she thought about what Orion had said. Was there vampires that hunted him or his pack. She grew angry at the thought that someone would do such a thing let alone disobey her.
