Angel slid on her sunglasses before she left the house, her walking stick in front of her as she used it to make sure she didn't bump into anything. The brunette was in an unfamiliar park, meeting her cousin Zacky and one of his friends. When she found a bench to sit on she pulled her iphone out, using the siri to text her cousin that she was at the park before she put her pulled her headphones from her small bag and plugged the into the phone so she could listen to music while she waited.
Johnny followed Zacky, smiling when he saw Angelica sitting on a bench. He'd always thought she was so beautiful, and he didn't care that she was blind. He thought it made her even more unique. He watched as Zacky sat next to her, reaching over and gently touching her shoulder. One thing he'd always been afraid of was scaring her, because she couldn't see. He didn't want to try and touch her and have her freak out or something.
Angel pulled her headphones out of her ears when she felt someone touch her shoulder. She recognized the scent of the cologne that wafted through her nostrils as her cousins and smiled before she pulled him into a hug. "Did Johnny come with you after all," she asked.
"Yeah," Johnny murmured. "I'm right here." He watched her, biting his lip gently. He couldn't even begin to imagine what life would be like, not being able to see things right in front of you. But he'd rather be blind than deaf, if it came down to it. He couldn't live without music. And at least he could still listen to TV. And it wouldn't be too hard to find someone you like. It wouldn't matter what they looked like.
Angel smiled as she turned to face the direction Johnny's voice came from. "Its good to hear you again Johnny." She always said hear yoy instead of see you since she felt it was stupid to say see since she was blind. She help her arms open, silently demanding a hug like she always did from everyone.
Johnny chuckled and he walked over, leaning down and wrapping his arms around her. "It's good to see you too," he murmured, rubbing her back gently. "How have you been?"
"I'm finally giving into your friends request to get a seeing eye dog so I've been getting help with the paperwork which is stressful," Angel replied. "I feel like the agency is treating this like I'm adopting a human being not an animal." She ran her hands through her hair, laughing because she knew her cousin was rolling his eyes at her comment. "On the bright side I at least get to name the dog I get. It'll probably be a lab from what the agency said."
"Well that's great," Johnny smiled. "You get a companion and someone that will help you around." He punched Zacky in the arm when he saw him rolling his eyes. He sat down on the other side of Angel, sighing contently. "So, what do you think you might name it?"
"That's very out there," Johnny chuckled. Certainly not what he'd name his dog, but it was unique at least. "At least you know it'll love you no matter what, even if you can't see."
"Then it totally makes sense," Johnny said, smiling to himself. He looked over at Zacky, who was acting as if the two were completely wasting his time. "Alright, alright. Where are we going?"
"I was thinking we could get lunch and then hang out at my place," Zacky suggested.
Angel smacked Johnny's arm lightly before she turned slightly to face her cousin. "Johnny has similar food taste to me and he does have a point Mexican food does get old fast especially if its from Taco Bell."
Johnny nodded and stood out, reaching down and grabbing her hand, gently pulling her up. It was hard for him to not want to help her with everything, because he knew she was just as stubborn as Zacky could be sometimes and she liked to do things on her own.
