From Ashes to Embers

Rina climbed out of her family's car, looking at the school in front of her. It was her first year at Cross Academy and, honestly, she wasn't looking forward to it. She was exhausted, due to lack of sleep from the usual nightmares that haunted her from her mother's death. At least it coming here got her out of the house, where all the memories were located. Forcing the thought away, she moved to gather her luggage and headed towards the Moon Dorm. All she wanted was to be able to relax, but she was doubtful she'd get the chance to.

The first day of school was always the most hectic, in Kaname's opinion. As an underclassmen, he had to explain to new Night Class students what was expected of them. Of course, that didn't mean that they would follow the rules, but at least they one to expect proper punishment if they broke those rules. At the moment, he was informing those he recognized where to go, but otherwise kept to himself. Deciding he had done enough, he started wandering around instead, to see if there were any changes to the school grounds.

Shiki had heard Kaname's speak twice already and knew it. He didn't need to be told again. He went to go see people, or just walk around. He didn't want to be confined to just one place. That was boring. He was chewing on his paki when he accidentally knocked into a girl. He caught her before she fell and made a sound that presented how he felt. His face never changed. He looked down to see a girl and noticed she was out of it. He waved.

Karasu sighed as she got off the bus at Cross Academy. It was her second year here, but she didn't like it very much. There was always something weird going on. She was in the Day class and headed to the dorms to sleep. She was suddenly knocked into by someone extremely tall. She squeaked starting to fall backwards from it. Her red hair was brightly lit up from the sun's affect. Her green eyes closing, somehow thinking that that would help it to hurt less when she actually did fall to the ground.

Rina, much to her own embarrassment, let out a slight yelp when she felt herself fall. Thankfully, though, she didn't hit the ground, but that didn't stop her from panicking slightly. Her bright brown eyes were wide and she was a bit frantic, though she calmed down when she saw the boy who had caught her wave. Quickly situating herself to where she was standing properly, she took a long step away from him and bowed her head awkwardly. "Ah, sorry, I wasn't paying attention," she murmured quietly.

Kaname hadn't expected to bump into somebody - especially since he usually paid more attention to what he was doing, he was usually more careful in things like that. Looking down at the girl who he had bumped into, he wasn't too surprised to find that he had already caught her before she managed to hit the ground, and he offered a slightly apologetic smile. "I'm sorry about that," he mentioned as he helped her back to her feet properly. "Are you alright?"

Shiki backed away once she was up right popping paki in his mouth. He chewed on and waited for her to talk. His face portrayed that he was calm and watched her tilting his head. His skin was flawless as well as his looks. "It's alright. Just be careful around the people." He told her as he watched her. "Are you in the Night dorm?" He asked her wondering why she was heading to the Day dorm's then. He watched her with baby blue eyes that just sort of pulled you into them.

Karasu's piercing green eyes soon opened to find that she hadn't fallen to the ground. She had only realized as such when she hadn't felt any pain. She stood back up straight but she was tiny. She was about four eleven and skinny as all hell. She heard Kaname and blinked hearing him. "It's quite alright. I'm fine, and you?" She asked, her fiery hair falling down and around her shoulders managing to curl around her shoulders in ringlets. She was offly beautiful but really didn't care much about that. She pushed her hair away from her face to show her gorgeous features, her high cheek bones along with her plump pink lips and lastly her piercing emerald gaze that seemed to just get lost in them. Her scent was intoxicating. She smelled of vanilla and strawberries that had just ripened.
