When it Rains

I laughed. "That wasn't too long ago, and you don't exactly look like it. I used to eat my weight in cake to be honest. Nothing better than cake, except maybe pizza."

"Theres this good deli two doors down, get me a reuben and something for yourself." He said to her. "I'll give you company credt cards."

He smiled a little,"The wonders of a fast metabolism," he told her.

She nodded,"Alright, I'll do that," she said to him lightly and smiled.

"Its a wonder that I am not the size of the amount I consumed." I said with a laugh. "It probably had a lot to do with the fact that I would go running in the mornings. There was a group of girls and we'd go running in front of the football team when they'd practice." I smiled a little, looking at my pizza.

He handed her his wallet and looked around. "I'll have some made for you as soon as possible. But just take mine."

He nodded a little,"I just ate whatever I wanted, I was that person," he smiled.

She nodded,"Alright," she said to him and took the card,"anything else?" she smiled at him.

I sighed. "I did well in school, but still made sure that I was actively participating in clubs and went to parties. I was that person."

He shook his head. "And a bottle of water?"

She nodded a little,"I'll get it," she told him as she walked out of the room.

He laughed,"I still like being alone more than not butI've gotten better I think,"

I shook my head. "I actually prefer being alone. There is a nonexistent list of people I enjoy being around. I really spent so much time around them to keep face. But I really didn't genuinely like any of them." I admitted.

He nodded. "Thanks, you're doing pretty good at this, by the way."

She looked at him and smiled,"I'm happy to hear that actually," she said to him.

He snorted a little,"I try to enjoy people," he said to her.

I sighed. "I guess all of the people I dealt with growing up made me permanently dislike everyone else."

He smiled a little. "Glad to hear that. Just be back quickly."

She nodded a little and smiled then walked out, she called and ordered them something to eat then told them she'd be there to pick it up immediately.

He nodded,"I can relate to that," he todl her.

I sighed a little. "Well hopefully you'll be better at keeping my attention than others. If not, you'll quickly find that I'm not one for pillow talk."

He rubbed his face and sighed, typing up notes he would need for the appointments.

She came back in with the food,"Here we go," she said to her.

He smiled a little as he looked "We'll see,"

I nodded. "Yeah. We shall see." I murmured, finishing my slice of pizza.

He looked up and turned away towards the food. "Oh, great. That was fast."

She nodded,"They prepared it quite quickly I walked there since it wasn't too far, it was a nice bit of fresh air - I kind of needed it," she laughed a little as she sighed.

Jongdae nodded, "What are we having for dinner again?" he asked.

"I don't think we decided, we just decided that we werent going to keep killing each other." She nodded a little. "Why? Anything in particular you want?"

"How have you been handling everything so far?" He asked curiously.

"I've been okay, things could be better but so far they're doing great," she said to him.

He nodded,"Right, right, - how does mongolian bar b que sound?" he offered.

"So we're going out or ordering in?" She asked him.

"Better?" He asked curiously, knowing it might have something to do with him.

"Going out," he said to her smiling. "I'll make the reservation,"

She nodded,"I just... wish we'd met under different circumstances," she said to him softly.

"There's nothing to be done about that." He murmured, sighing a bit.

She smiled a little and nodded. "Alright," she said. "I've got a little more to do but let me know when."

"Do you need anything else?" she asked as she looked at him.

He nodded a little,"Alright, I'll make it for eight - is that ok?" he asked.
