Lilly
I took and got in the bed gripping to Brian's tags. I rolled over in the bed as I looked at the empty spot. Maybe Brian was sending Matt to me so I wouldn't feel so afraid in this world anymore. I took and laid his tags on his pillow as I took and sighed a little staring at the spot. The memories flooding my mind of us as I closed my eyes lightly tears falling from my closed eyes as I took and laid there.

Matt
It hadnt taken me long to fall asleep even though i didnt want to. I began to toss and turn in my sleep, trying to fight off these horrible memories that invaded my sleep.

"Brian!" I yelled out. "Get back here!" I watched as my best friend, aa man who was like a brother to me, run out into the middle of the battlefeild to rescue a crying little girl. "You're on stupid son of a bitch" I said as I covered him. I began to shoot at the visable enimies trying my best to protect him. He scooped up the little girl and made a B-line for me. Suddenly a loud shot peirced the air and he flinched before stumbling forward a few steps. He put the girl down and shoved her forward and she ran for us. I watched as Brian dropped to the ground, holding his heart. "No! " I yelled outm I quickly ran out to him and grabbed him by his hand and pulled him back to safety.

"It's going to be okay brother" I said, holding his hand while I pressed my free hand on his chest "Stay with me Brian. Stay with me man" I said he looked at me and squeezed my hand. "Matt. Tell-" he started before coughing "Tell Lilly I love her. I want you to be there for her. Stay with her until she is ready to move on" he said to me. He grabbed my head and pulled me close. "Thank you brother" he breathed out. I watched his head fall back as I felt his hand slide away. "Brain?" I said, shaking him. "Brian. Wake up man" When I realized he wasnt going to wake up i closed his eyes before taking his dog tags. I put them around my neck and kissed his head. "Rest in peace brother" I said. I took his rifle and buried it in the ground and put his helmet on it, right above where his dead body was.

"Matt" I heard someone shout in my ear, shaking me. I shot up and scrambled out of the bed, looking around frantically. I was coated in sweat and I watched as Lilly looked at me with wide eyes.

Matt
After I cooled down I had laid back down in the bed and I watched as she began to walk toward the door. "Wait!" I called out softly. She turned to face me. "Yes Matt?" she asked me. "Will you stay here?" I asked quietly

Lilly

I took and smiled at Matt as I nodded. "Of course." I replied to him lightly. I took and walked over to the bed and climbed in it. I took him slowly into my arms as I rubbed his back lightly. I took and stroked his head gently letting it rest in my lap.

Matt
I let her sit there and rub my back, which caused me to fall asleep quickly. I felt her gently lift my head up so that she could stand up and my hand instantly lunged out for her wrist, holding it tightly. I didnt want her going anywhere.

I took and sat back down feeling his wrist. I took and curled up in the bed with his head in my lap. I kept rubbing his back and stroking his head lightly. My eyes slowly falling shut as I heard small, soft, snores escaping his lips.

Lilly

I slowly opened my eyes up feeling Matt gone. Fear pulsed through me unsure of what or where he was. I took and bit on my lip slowly climbing out of the bed. I took and looked around as I smelt food coming up from the kitchen. I took and smiled as I headed down seeing him cooking. "Hey, did you sleep ok?" She asked hoping he hadn't had anymore nightmares.

Matt
"Other than the one you woke me up from? No" I said to her. I placed the bacon and pancakes on their seperate plates and put the on the island. I the poured her a cup of coffee and smiled. "I didnt know how you drank your coffee" I said, handing her the cup. I poured myself a cup and took a long drink of it. "I missed you my friend" I said to it, as if it could hear me.

Lilly
I took and nodded my head and smiled getting some milk and sugar pouring them into my coffee. I smiled at him as I began eating the food he'd prepared. "Thank you for this." I said softly smiling at him as I took and ate the food and sipped my coffee. I was glad he hadn't had any more nightmares.
