Have Some Composure

Liliana sighed a little as she pushed a hand through her hair, "So this is it? I haven't been here in ages," she murmured as she climbed out of the car, "And I resent having to ride in the back of the cruiser,"

"I'm older," Bella smiled a little as she teased her as they walked up to the house.

"Either way, I looked like a criminal back there. You need a recreational vehicle," Liliana said to him as she walked into the house.

"Well, you know where your rooms are right? I fixed them both up a little, new sheets and curtains otherwise its the same," he admitted awkwardly. "It's nice to finally have you girls back, "

Liliana smiled a little as she looked at him and hugged him, "I missed you too, Charlie,"

I loved the winter. It was always so much prettier during the winter. Now if only I could get used to the freezing cold.

I kept my eyes on the road as I drove to Forks High, trying not to skid on the thin layer of ice that carpeted the roads.

It was already pretty crowded si I just found the closest possible space and parked, just going to head to my last class.

It was science, which made me happy to know. Science was my favorite subject.

Liliana sighed, she held her backpack onto her shoulder then climbed out of the truck. "I'll meet you out here at the end of the day, don't leave me," she teased Bella, "Come on lets get out schedule," she said to her and linked arms with her. She was nervous about a new school and she could tell Bella was too; which didn't do much for reassuring her.

She hoped that her home economics class did a sewing bit, she loved doing stitching and home arts.

"So, tonight I'll cook dinner," she told her and Bella nodded.

"Sounds good, what are we having?" she asked.

"No idea I was going to have you take me to the grocery store so I could pick up some stuff to cook with. Charlie doesn't got a whole lot in the cabinets," she said to her.

It was one of those classes with the long tables that you ended up sharing with someone. I just hoped whoever I got stuck with wasn't rude, annoying, or someone I couldn't work with.

"Have a nice summer, Aria?" Mike asked with an overly wide smile. He was always flirting.

"It was fine, Mike." I said with a smile, suddenly grateful when the rest of students flooded in.

She sighed as she got her list then walked to her first class, then took a seat not bothering to introduce herself to anyone. She crossed her legs then pushed a hand through her hair.

"Oh who is this?" Mile asked laughing.

"Liliana Swan," she said to him as she pulled out her spiral and pens.

I looked over as a girl came and sat down next to me, and then looked to the front of the class. "How are you in front of crowds?" I asked, knowing it was a weird question to ask. She was obviously a Swan. Everyone knew about them since they were the Police Chieifs kids.

"I'm fine," she said to her smiling a little,"Not too squeemish," she said to her as she licked her lips.

"Swan? Huh, I thought he only had one kid?" Mike said.

"I'm his niece, he and my aunt raised me," she told him as she looked at him. "Bella is like a sister to me, basically anyway. We were raised together very young," she said to them.

I nodded and pointed to the front of the class as the professor walked in. "Good, because he's going to make you introduce yourself." I said, watching as the teacher scanned the room for a new face. "I'm Aria, by the way."

"Nice to meet you," she said smiling a little then licked her lips.

I looked up as the teacher announced her name to the class, and I shrugged a little, expecting this. It always happened. New kids were usually put on a pedestal, like a shiny new toy. "They'll only ask your name and favorite subject."

She nodded a little and smiled,"Thanks for the heads up," she said to her lightly.

Mike smiled a little then watched as she pulled out a sketch book, "You draw?" he asked curiously.

"A bit," she murmured, "Well, not really," she murmured,"I guess a bit," she said as she thought about it, "Yeah, yeah I can draw," she smiled.

I raised my eyebrows and tapped my pencil on my notebook. "Looks like you can, those drawings are really good. So you design?" I asked, looking at the clothing sketches she had. "You're talented, thats cool."

She smiled,"Thank you," she said to her, "I want to open my own design label,"

I smiled a little. "You're welcome. That's pretty cool. I'm studying to be a lawyer." I said. "So you lived up in Arizona with Bella?" I asked as the teacher began rambling about whatever we were supposed to learn that day.

She nodded,"Yep, I did." she smiled a little,"She is in the same year as me," she told her lightly as she listened to the teacher then using her pencil to sketch out something that had come to mind at her mentioning her wanting to be a lawyer.

I looked at her sketch, seeing the beginnings of a suit dress. "That's really nice, you just thought of that?" I asked, my voice hushed so as to not attract the attention of the teacher.

She nodded a little,"Yeah, I was thinking a little floral on the inside of the blazer, and for the pencil skirt to come to your knees," she murmured softly, "How tall are you?" she asked as she sketched, "I imagine about two yards of each fabric which, I think cotton and polyester blend would work nice but I'm thinking.. something nicer," she murmured, "Do you like chiffon?" she asked quickly.

I smiled a little and nodded. "I do. I think chiffon, satin, and velvet are princess fabrics." I said with a shrug. "And silk too. I'm about five foot and five inches." I said, pretending to take notes.

She nodded,"Me too," she murmured,"I was thinking suede? How do you feel about that, too heavy? If it is, satin would be nice to work with again," she nodded.
