I could hear the sound of horses running down the road in my tiny village. There had been rumors of the king coming to the village to pick up his soon to be wife. Who that was, I didnt know. I just hoped that it wasnt me. I slowly walked out of the woods, my hair in a braid and my dress ripped up. I looked over to see the King at my house, talking to my mother who pointed to me. I saw his hazel eyes lock onto me, and a smirk appear on his face. I backed away before running toward the woods.

    Brian
I sat on my horse as we slowly walked down the road, when I found the one I was looking for i stopped my horse and got off. I walked up to the door and pounded on it. Once it opened i gave a smile to the young girl before me. She was only seven or so. I crouched down so that I could look into her eyes. "Hello sweetheart. Can you tell me where Delilah is?" I asked in a sweet tone

I, the king, despised leaving my kingdom for mere grunt work. A servant would have done the job with no complaints, but I knew it would reflect poorly on my image if I sent a lowly domestic to fetch my new wife - besides I needed to see her for myself. I didn't need the penniless community trying to sneak the village tramp into my castle. If she was going to be my wife, my queen, she needed to be pure. Impatiently I stood alongside the girl's mother, who wasn't dreadfully hideous. "I do believe I informed you of my arrival time," I remarked, my voice tight with exasperation - the last thing I desired was to stand around like a fool all day. "Where is she?" My narrowed eyes followed the mother's willowy finger as she pointed towards the forest opening and slowly my lips pulled back into a devious smirk - she was perfect, even in her disarrayed dress. However, my satisfaction did not last long as I watched the red head run quickly back into the woods, "Quickly, go and find her." I commanded the three men I brought with me, before turning my glare to the poor mother. "Didn't you raise her to act like a proper lady?"

    Delilah

My hair was pulled back into a loose braid as I tended to my chores in the back of the house, my thin fingers prune-y from the water that they were constantly being dumped in. "Can you believe a king will be visiting our village?" My friend whispered, her voice full of admiration. "To marry off some poor girl." I frowned, my eyebrows furrowing together as I turned to hang a few more articles of clothing on the line that was strung up for drying. "It's kind of romantic," The blonde to my right continued to giggle, giving my side a gentle nudge. How could that even be considered romantic? My heart went out to the poor girl who was forced to marry some stranger, even if he was a king. "You're no fun, Delilah." I simply chose to ignore her teasing as I hung up the last of my family's clothes, "Keep your fingers crossed, your father could be rationing out some prize for your hand in marriage," I teased my friend with a playful wink before walking into the small home I shared with my family. "Alessa, who are you talking to?" My voice was soft, but confused as the sound of my youngest sister's sweet voice filled my ears. My eyes widened as I sounded the corner, fairly surprised to stumble across the king at my doorstep. Did I bow? Did I run? "There she is!" My sister giggled running to hug my thin waist, her words fueling my urge to hurry out of sight. What did this man want with me? "Pardon?" I asked carefully hesitantly lifting my gaze to face the dark-haired man.

    [ I hope this was okay! :3 ]

I had run for the woods when I saw that bastard who was supposed to be.my king. What he wanted, i didnt know nor did I want to find out. I.hadn't otten very far into the woods when I was tackled to the ground, causing a shriek to escape from my lips. After fighting them and yelling profanities at the gaurds we had arrived at our destination. They let me go when we reached our position infront of the king. Most people would bow down and kiss his shoes, but I refused. This man was an asshole, he refused to help my village, and now here he was standing infront of me. "How dare you show your disgusting face around here you bastard" I spat before slapping hjm and making sure that there were atleast three nice scratches on his cheek. I could tell that he was surprised but he was outraged as well. "Do-" he began to say, but I cut him off. "Yes I know who you are" I snapped at him. "You are the pathetic coward who calls himself the king" my blue eyes were narrowed in a cold glare that showed it took every ounce of my being to not kill him.

    Brian
I looked at the young woman before me. She was absolutely stunning. She would make a wonderful wife. "You're absolutely stunning Delilah" I said to her. "But I'm not here to compliment you on your beauty. You're to come live in the castle and be my wife" I said to her, seeing her look at me, her eyes wid with mixed emotions. "But what about my little sister?" Sje asked me. "She can come to...If.she must, but I am afraid you have no choice."

(It's awesome! Im already in love with evil Matt! I hope my posts are okay. They'd be longer but im on my kindle.)

The slap came as a surprise to the king, his eyes narrowing into venomous slits - not once in his years had anyone, especially a woman, raised a hand to him. He was the king. "How do dare I?" The king mused with the smallest of smirks as one of his guards took a hold of the girl to keep her from striking him once more; something she would definitely be paying for. Little Claire could out the hard way, or the easy way - but Matthew enjoyed a little game of cat and mouse, the girl was only prompting his nature. "Your parents didn't warn me about your behavior." Matt tsked in annoyance, but he knew there could be no consequences for the poor family, unfortunately, he was hear to save his kingdom not start a revolution. Walking to the girl he gripped her chin in his large hands, "Don't forget to thank dear mommy and daddy for selling you to me, my queen." Wanting to mark the girl in front of the lot of her kingdom he brought his lips down against her's in a rough, but possessing kiss. Pulling back a few inches he stared down at the girl,

"Now, you best behave or I'll make a fool of you. Am I understood?" Not waiting for an answer he turned to face her parents who looked in a mix of shock and hatred for themselves - the king wasn't at all surprise that they had sold their daughter. There was nothing a human wouldn't do for money, "I suspect her things are already thrown together?" Not that he imagined there was much for her to have, he would supply her for things he might need in the future. The father gave a nod of his head without looking from the ground, "Then go fetch it you fool." With a roll of his hazel eyes he turned to the guard that was holding his queen, the answer to his problems, "Get her settled onto the horse." He commanded impatiently, exasperated to see the guard was just standing around. Did he have to do everything himself?

    ☾ Delilah Belliveau ☽

The timid girl couldn't help but let a small squeak of surprise. This felt unreal - just a few minutes ago she was joking about this man and now she stood in her doorway beckoning her away from everything she had ever known. "Y...Your wife?" She questioned unsure, taking a step back away from the king. He seemed kindhearted, but the last thing she desired was to leave her home. She may have been forced to clean and watch the younger children, but it was home. She didn't particularly fancy being swept away - even if it was by the king. "But what about my little sister?" Delilah questioned with a frown, her grip around the small blonde tightening, almost fearing she would be ripped away from her grasp. Even with the king's permission she knew she couldn't bring Alessa, it was more so a rhetorical question. She had no choice? Feeling her heart thud against her chest cavity the brunette glanced over her shoulder, praying that her mother would come down stairs and clear everything up for. "I'm s-sorry sir, but you m-must be mistaken." Her voice was a soft plead as she stared up at the man with wide eyes, her head shaking as if to reinforce her words. "C-Clearly, you have the wrong house." Her wishes however were merely pointless, the male wouldn't have known her name if this was the wrong home.

[ Oh good! I'm glad you liked it. Cute I wasn't sure if you wanted him to mean or what so I kind of just went with the flow. c: ]

I glared at him with nothing but pure hatred ."Why would I thank them for selling me to a bastard like you?" I snarled at him "I am ashamed to live under your rule and I would rather die than be your wife!" I yelled, hate glowing in my eyes. Before I could stop it, I felt his lips against mine in a kiss that made me want to kill myself. I would have pulled away but he was holding my chin and his guards held my arms. When he pulled away with his fucking smirk I glared at him. If looks could kill he would be dead by now. "Let this be a warning King Matthew" I growled out to him, making sure to spit out his name like it was poison. "I may be pretty, but if I am ever given the opportunity to kill you, I will." I said low enough so that only he could hear "and that isn't a threat, it's a fucking promise, because I hope to god, that you die a slow and painful death" I spat before ripping my arms from his guards' grip. I then stalked into my house. If I had to go with this bastard I was atleast going to go in the few nice things I had. Once I was dressed I walked out of my house to see the king surprised at what I had looked like when I put on nice clothes. "Are you going to stand there and gawk at me like I'm some prize or are we going to get on with the trip to my new miserable life?" I said, my eyes still showing nothing but hate.

    Brian
I looked at her. "I am afraid i'm not mistaken" I said to her. "You are to go live in my castle with me and be my queen. As for your adorable little sister, your mother and I have agreed that she will have a much better life with you and I up at the castle. "We must be going soon though, we have a lot to do and not a lot of time" I looked at the beautiful woman before me, yes I had this whole sweet king facade going on, but there was so much more to me that nobody new about unless they were involved in my personal life, in which, not very many people wanted to be a part of, simply because that was a more...violent area in my life. "Please, I would like to do this the easy way and you come willingly, I am simply trying to save this kingdom, and the people within it"

(Yeah, I love matt when he's evil and mean! I decided to make Brian hide evilness more so than what matt does. I hope my posts are okay as well. Sometimes they are only one sentence and others they're the length of a one shot)

The king's annoyance grew strong, but he couldn't help but feel amused at the girl's antics. Did she think she was threatening? She resembled nothing more than a mere kitten. The girl was nothing compared to him and if she continued to step out of line he would have punish her properly, and he wouldn't regret it one bit - in fact he was giddy at the idea. When she came back he couldn't keep the surprise from his usual masked features - he didn't expect a mere peasant to own something that was up to that standard. "Oh, my darling, but you are a prize." Matthew couldn't help but smirk as he carefully took in her curves. She was definitely a beauty, someone he wouldn't be ashamed to have on his side. "You look stunning, my queen." The title rolled smoothly off the king's tongue as he smirked at the red-headed beauty. Without another word the king paid off the parents for their actions before pulling himself on top of his horse who, if it were possible, almost looked as cruel as his owner. "Ever ridden a horse, m'lady?" Matthew inquired almost as if he were teasing the young girl since he knew most villagers were too poor for food, much less a way of transportation. Signaling the guards to begin the journey he extended his arm to the red-head, "You get the honors of sitting in front of your king,"

    ☾ Delilah Belliveau ☽

Despite the king's gentle nature Delilah couldn't help but fret at the idea of dropping everything she held so dear to herself. What about her friends? What about her family? Did they truly sell her off so easily? The question broke her heart to even dwell on, "Sissy, it'll be like a fairy-tale." Alessa giggled tugging on her sister's tattered dressed, well at least somebody was excited at the idea of it all. Looking for her sister to the king that stood patiently before her she gave a single nod of her head, "I-I'm sorry to have kept you waiting." She apologized softly, her cheeks now growing a light shade of pink in embarrassment. The last thing she desired was to be taken from her home the hard way, whatever they mean. As friendly as the king may seem before her she knew he held great power above her and with a snap of his fingers he could order for her whole family to be sent to death - that was the last she wanted. If her marrying a complete stranger truly helped the kingdom, maybe it wouldn't be so bad. "I'll come willingly." Her voice was hardly above a whisper as she basically signed away her freedom, her eyes stinging with the sensation of tears.

    [ I'm glad you like him :3

I glared at him. "Do. Not. Call me that" I snapped at him "and I am not a prize. I am a human fucking being" I shoved his hand away from me and climbed onto the horse with ease. "Yes as a matter of fact I have ridden a horse. I wasn't always poor. Just when you stopped giving a shit about your people is when this kingdom went to shit" I muttered as we started our trip toward his castle that I had wished I would never had to step foot in. It hadn't taken long before he wrapped his strong arm around my waist and pull me to his chest. I could feel his breath on my hair and it made me shutter.

Just as I thought this would be a never ending trip my eyes were greeted by the sight of the richest village that rested at the base of the steps that led to the large castle. As we made our way through the village I saw a man pleading with a trader to let him buy a stuffed bunny for his young daughter. We were about to pass them when I decided to yank on the reins of the horse, causing it to halt in its tracks. I slipped out of his grip and got of the horse. It didn't take long before he grabbed my forearm. "I won't be hated like you" I snapped before ripping my arm from his grip. I walked over to them to see that they were just about to leave the cart and I could see that the little girl was about to cry. "Excuse m" I said to them, giving the girl and her father a gentle smile. "Could you wait right here?" I asked. Seeing him nod hesitantly I walked over to the cart and traded my grandmother's gold necklace for the bunny. I walked back over to the two and crouched down, handing the large bunny to the girl a smile instantly appeared on her smile and she gave me a large hug "Thank you" she said sincerely. I smiled and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "It was my pleasure sweetheart" I said to her. I then looked at her father "Thank you so much" he said to me. "Here...take this" I said to him as I pulled off out the earrings and my necklace. "This should help. I know the struggle of not having money and not being able to afford things. This should help" I said before walking away and back over to Matthew I could see the glare that was set on his face.

"You will thank me later you asshole" I muttered before getting back on the horse. I had noticed that the little girl was running toward us with a smile on her face. I could also tell that Matthew was about to continue our way to the castle. "Wait" I said to him. She ran up to me, her father right behind her, my necklace and earring in his hand. They did a quick bow and the little girl looked up at Matthew and I. I watched as she fished something out of her pocket. "This is for You and King Matthew" she said, holding out two little charms that looked like two bears. I smiled at her and leaned down. Thank you sweetie. That is very nice of you. I'm sure the king appreciates it, even if he's too grumpy and mean to admit it" I said to her. "Now why don't you run along, I'm sure you and you're new friend have lots to do" She gave me a sweet smile and ran back into her father's arms as we began our way to the castle. "It is better to have subjects who love you than fear and hate you." I informed him.

    Brian
I looked at her, and gave her a smile. "There is no need to cry. If there is room, your family and some select friends can move into the town at the base of our castle" I informed her as her sister ran over to me. "You'll love the castle Alessa" I said to her, picking her up and placing her on my hip. There will be so much for you to do, you can have everything you ever could imagine and you're big sister's gonna become royalty. Nobody will mess with you when you find out you're related to the queen" I said, giving both of them a sweet smile. "Even if they can't move into the town, I will make sure that this place gets all the things it needs to survive. I am a man of my word Delilah. I promise you, you're family and everyone you love will be safe. If I had enough room in the castle I would allow them to stay with us, but we don't" I said, gently rubbing her shoulder.
