Bryony was over James, 100% over him. And just because she didn't want to go out and drink herself stupid, did not mean she was unhappy. Unfortunately her friends took her lack of involvement as a bad sign. Two weeks ago after being dragged out by her closest Bryony may have mentioned she hadn't even been on a date since she and James ended six months ago. Her friends apparently took it upon their selves to set her up on a blind date because Bryony now found herself sat at an table for two in a restaurant. Bryony had been under the illusion she was meeting her friends her but the fact there were only two chairs and a candle said otherwise. Bryony had already texted her friends some angry texts but she had received no response. Despite how much Bryony wanted to leave, she would stay for whoever she was meeting as it was only polite and for all she knew he could be a nice guy.

Colin was already running late for his blind date and the worst thing was that he had no way of contacting the girl he was suppose to be meeting. Colin decided to make a quick decision and made a detour to a flower shop, a bouquet of roses to apologies for his lateness. Colin was never one to late but there was battle for the bathroom he shared with his flatmate early that day and then public transport had picked the day to run later than normal. Colin was nearly out of breath by the time he reached the cafe before entering he smoothed his hair and composed himself as he entered the cafe.

Ethan was only running a few minutes late, he had gotten done talking to his cousin Ella who also seemed to be going on a blind date. Ethan finished talking to her and ran off to buy some flowers for his date, he picked something that wasn't overly flashy. Daisies. He hoped she would like them, to be fair he hadn't been on a date in a few months this was something his friends had planned. Said something along the lines of Ethan playing the field too much. Ethan walked into the restaurant just a few minutes after eight and looked around. Who was he even looking for? They didn't give him a description of the girl.

Ella had been anxious about this blind date since she found about it a few days ago. She tried her best getting out of it but it was still happening. She was eating a nice flowy teal dress with wedges, her hair was french braided and she was wearing little make up. Just pink lipstick and eyeliner, she hoped to make some sort of impression. Ella looked at the time it had been twenty minutes since the scheduled time. She was thinking he'd stood her up.

Bryony say a blonde guy enter the restaurant looking a little confused as his eyes scanned the restaurant. Something told Bryony that maybe he was her blind date, the flowers in hand helped. Bryony stood up from her seat and cautiously approached the guy, Christ her friends had not even told her his name this was going to be awkward. When Bryony was close enough she asked the question, "Are you here for the blind date?" asked Bryony, she was hoping she wasn't wrong, she did not want to die of embarrassment.

Colin was a little out of breath as he entered cafe, despite composing himself before hand. Colin was greeted by a server and said then name of his friends who had reserved the table under their name. Colin was then guided to a table were a young brunette was sat, there was a small look of worry upon her face. Colin thanked the server and quickly jumped into an apology, "I'm so sorry, there was a fight for the bathroom and I got in last and the public transport was against me today," blabbed Colin, "I'm sorry once again, I bought these for you and my names Colin." He quickly put on his best smile as he handed over the flowers.

Ethan ran a hand through his blond curls as he ttied to figure out where and what his date looked like. He averted his attention from the hostess to the young woman who had approached him. Ethan smiled softly, "I am are you as well? " he asked politely, she must be his date. He thought she was very pretty he hoped not to screw this up,

Ella had been sitting for the last half hour waiting for her date and she getting up to leave. She had been stood up a few times and it always put her to shame, she had to leave. Though she was quickly stopped by a handsome young man who had roses in hand. She listened to him as he explained everything, she nodded pulling a small smile as she sat back down. "Thank you.. Aren't red roses a little bold for a first date?" She asked. "I'm not complain they're lovely.. What if you end up not liking me?"

Bryony nodded, "Yeah, I didn't realize it was a blind date until I saw how the table was set up." Bryony laughed lightly as headed back to the table and took her seat. "I'm Bryony by the way," she added as she looked over at the handsome blonde opposite. Her friends weren't wrong, he was handsome maybe not her type but there was nothing wrong with that.

"Maybe a little bold but they are classic roses," smiled Colin as he took a seat, "Even if this date isn't a roaring success at least you received some lovey flowers," shrugged Colin as he handed them over to the young woman. "I'm sorry I didn't catch your name, my friends told me next to nothing only the time and place I had to be," he chuckled as he ran a hand through his hair.

Ethan ran a hand through his messy blond hair trying to fix it, "sorry my hair is everywhere and I'm trying to look decent." He chuckled, "oh I know, my friends didn't mention anything about you so I didn't know what flowers you liked" he handed Bryony her flowers," he smiled and shook her hand "I'm Ethan."

Ella nodded, "that's true, thank you so much that was sweet of you." Ella looked at Colin "that's true, these are just breathtaking, though I think we'll do just fine." Ella smelled the roses and smiled "my name is Ella it's nice meeting you, so have you ever done this before?"

Bryony smiled as Ethan handed over the daisies, "You look great," she said with a small laugh before placing the flowers beside her and shake Ethan's hand. "So when did you find out you were going on a blind date?" asked Bryony, she was curious to know if Ethan had been set up like her.

Colin took his seat and ran a hand through his hair, "No, no, this is the first time I have ever been on a blind date," replied Colin. "What about you, have you ever done this before?" asked Colin as he finally got to look at Ella properly. She was very beautiful indeed.

Ethan smiled "thanks, you look better." Ethan took a good look at Bryony, she was stunning. "Early this afternoon actually, I had no idea what my roommates were up to. Pretty bad if I don't know what's going on in the same house, how about you?"

Ella smiled softly at Colin "no, I haven't, I was a little nervous, I didn't know what to do or what I should say actially I'm still clueless," she laughed. Ella did think he was quite handsome though,

Bryony smiled a little as Ethan complimented her. Bryony laughed as listened to Ethan, "I didn't find out until I got here. I thought I was meeting my friend, I had to call her and ask where she was," explained Bryony as she gentle brushed her hair out of her face.

"Well that makes two of us," laughed Colin, "First time for everything, that is what people say right?" Colin's nerves settled a little knowing Ella was a bit nervous as well. "Maybe we should order a drink first?" he suggested as he looked around for a server.

Ethan chuckled "looks like we were tricked. Not that I mind, I do have quite the beauty sitting in front of me." How could he not comment in Bryony's beauty, she was stunning. He couldn't help it. "So have hou ever been here before because I haven't."

Ella nodded "that's very true," she looked at the menu and then back up at Collin. "Sure, just one though for right now, I don't want to get "too" loose or anything,"she chuckled.

Bryony once again blushed, Ethan liked to compliment her and she wasn't going to complain about that. "Well your a rather handsome yourself," she added with a soft smile before glancing over the menu. Bryony had been before with the friend she thought she was meeting, "Yeah I've been here once. I made the comment with my friend that is was cute place to have a date at," She said with a laugh.

"Agreed, best to take things slow and steady," added Colin as the server approached them. Colin had yet to decided what to order as a drink but gentle indicated to Ella, "Ladies first," insisted Colin.

Ethan is a man who calls it like he sees it, Bryony was a beautiful woman and he was going to tell her. He smiled widely, "thanks, oh yeah? Well I guess that's why we're both here." He

Ella smiled and looked through the menu, she looked up and smiled softly "thank you. I'll have a strawberry daiquiri please, did you want an appetizer?" She was getting kind of hungry, pushing some hair from her face Ella looked at Colin.

Bryony nodded in agreement, "So Ethan tell me about yourself, like what do you do for work?" asked Bryony as she flash a smile at the gorgeous man opposite her.

"I will have an iced tea please," added Colin he then felt his stomach rubble when the word appetizer was mentioned. "I would love an appetizer, anything you have in mind?" asked Colin.

Ethan say up straight and looked at Bryony he cleared his throat, "well, I'm on my last year of law school, so that's exciting, I enjoy being out in the water like surfing or scuba diving you ever do that? It's fun. What about you?"

Ella smiled at Collin and thought about it, "sure I'll have an appetizer how about something like cheese fries or skmethkng?" She chuckled. "So um.. Is this your first blind date?

Bryony nodded, impressed. Law school she didn't expect that from him but she could have made a guess at Ethan being into scuba diving and surfing. "I work in an interior design shop, I graduating from college last year and interned at the place I work at," Bryony explained, "I'm actually a big fan of soccer to be honest, my brothers got me into it."

"Cheese fries, it's like you already know me," laughed Colin, he was liking Ella with every minute that passed. "Yes and no, my friends set me up on a blind date a few months back but the girl who I was suppose to meeting got shingles and I heard nothing back. So yes, this is technically the first blind date I have had. What about you?" asked Colin.
