Strange Encounter

I smiled a little. "You're welcome. Maybe after your long meetings at weird hours you can come back, and I'll cook for you again." I said, walking over to the door.

He nodded a little,"sounds like a plan," he smiled at her as he opened the door, "it was nice meeting you," he said to her.

"And you." I smiled a little, moving to close the door behind him. I shut it and sighed, moving to lock the door. There was something about him that was really interesting, but I,couldn't figure out what it was.

Lily smiled as she finished the sandwiches and packed them easily in brown parchment paper so he could eat on his way to work. She walked over with the sandwiches knocking on his door.

I carried my mug of tea around as I slid my shoes on, finishing up getting ready. I finished my hair and walked over to the door, hearing a door slam. I grabbed my bag and finished my tea, before setting the mug into the sink. I walked out and locked my door, heading towards the elevator. "Oh, hi." I said, getting in the elevator as well. "How are you today?" I asked him.

He groaned and rolled off his couch, heading over to the door. "Good morning," He mumbled, rubbing his eyes sleepily.

He smiled,"I'm good, didn't sleep much but good nonetheless," he smiled at her. "Did you sleep ok?"he asked/

She smiled a little,"Morning," she said holding up the sandwiches, "I come baring gifts," she said to him.

I nodded a little. "I slept really well. Why didn't you sleep well?" I asked curiously.

He grinned. "The best kind." He said, letting her in. "How was your night?"

"Good, I slept a little, then decided to not be in sweats anymore so I changed clothes then made you food," she smiled a little.

"I have a lot on my mind," he told her lightly.

I nodded a little as the elevator got to the floor. "Another secret?" I asked curiously, going in the elevator and shutting the gate

He nodded a little. "Unfortunately I haven't gotten that far with my day." He laughed, rubbing his face.

She smiled a little,"Well, why don't you go shower and stuff get ready and awake. I can clean up a little for you if you want, apparently you work a lot more than I do," she told him lightly.

"I guess you could say that," he said to her smiling a little.

"Are you busy later?" I asked curiously. "I'd like to figure out more about you if you have time."

"You don't have to do that." He mumbled, standing up and groaning. "Make yourself comfortable, I'll be back."

She nodded a little and looked around the apartment, she saw a basket where some dirty clothe lay and she picked up the rest on the floor once he was out of sight. She put his dishes in the dish washer - he didnt' have many. Lily smiled and stacked the books neatly on the window sill then put the pillows on the couch draping the blanket across the back of the couch then going to wipe down the cabinets in the kitchen. Over all it took less than ten minutes for basic tidying.

The place needed a good sweet and mop but she'd let him worry about that. She picked up the lamp off the floor and shook her head, she wondered if it had fallen over during one drunk night or if he'd been angry.

He smiled,"I don't think so but if I am I'll let you know," he said to her as he licked his lips.

I nodded a little watching as the elevator got to the ground floor. "I mean... If you have time." I said with a small shrug. "I hope you have a good day." I said meekly. I wanted to get to know him, but at this rate it was proving harder than I anticipated.

He walked back out and looked around, a towel around his waist as he headed to the dresser. "You didn't have to clean for me." He murmured, pulling on some sweats and turning to her.

"I know, am I being weird? I'm always like this...I tend to come on strong, like once I talk to someone it's like.. oh we're friends so I do ...weird things and make people feel awkward," she laughed a little as she chewed on her lip trying to avoid looking at his bare chest because she was about to pass out. He was gorgeous, she had known this before, but now - she didn't even know what to think.

He smiled a little,"you too," he said to her as he walked off out of the building then hailed a taxi.

I signed a little and walked a little behind slowly, watching him hail a taxi. I didn't know if maybe he was just uninterested or what. My brain was telling me that I needed to just back away, but I didn't want to. I wanted to know more about him, but I wasn't sure how.

I sighed a little and headed down the street, catching a taxi on the corner to take me to work.

He raised his eyebrows while she rambled, listening to her talk. It was kind of cute. "Don't worry about it." He smiled, looking around for a shirt. He normally didn't wear one, but he didn't want to make her uncomfortable.

She nodded a little and smiled a bit,"Okay," she said lightly with a small smile and sat down on the couch waiting for him to get ready.

He sighed as he got into the taxi then rubbed his face.

I got into the taxi and sighed as I got driven to work. I kept on thinking about whether or not I needed to back off. I walked into work and sighed, checking in with my boss and beginning to do my work for today. Maybe I'd end up hearing from him after all.

He rubbed his face and looked around. "Did you see a shirt?" He asked, before pulling on a jacket and zipping it up halfway. "Alright, so what kind of sandwiches are these?"

"Roast beef, bell peppers, mushrooms, mayo and some lettuce tomato and I pressed it," she told him smiling a little, "and there is shirt over there in the hamper but.. its dirty," she told him.

He nodded a little, sitting down next to her and toying with his zipper. "It's alright, don't worry about it." He murmured, sitting and looking at the food. "That sounds good. And you can cook this stuff for fun?"

She shrugged,"I have a lot of freetime," she laughed a little,"I like cooking, it was a dream but I couldn't afford culinary school so I just cook for family and friends, and myself," she told him.
