A Joking Love

Sarah

I walked out of the airport inhaling that muggy when smell of Gotham. I scanned the line of suited men with little signs I walked up to one that had my name on it, "I'm Sarah W." I said handing him my paperwork. I got into his town car and relaxed looking around at the city as he took me to my new apartment to settle in before I had to report to my new job.

Bruce

I sat in my office watching my staff on the monitors I had in the building I loved seeing and listening to what they really thought of me. The one I liked watching the most was Rachel. I'd never admit it to anyone but I kind of fancy'd this girl she was gorgeous and had the best personality out of anyone who worked for me.

Joker

Spotting a black town car driving through the town and heading for an apartment complex. I lick my cracked, dry lips, as I take and grin to myself. Seeing as this was the perfect strike. I watch my men get into place, "Tonight." I reply to them as I take and crack my neck. Something about the town car and who it held inside, tickled me.

Rachel

I took and smiled at the man that I had been talking with. Glad he'd agreed to drop the lawsuit against Wayne Enterprises. I get up and shake his hand as I watch the guard escort him out as I plop down and run my fingers through my long blonde hair. I let a sfot sigh escape my lips as I take and lean back into the chair. "Thank god." I mutter to myself.

Sarah

I pulled my phone out and called my cousin Rachel, "I'm in town now Rach, I'll come see you after I've visited with everyone." I said into the phone and smiled as I hung up. I took and tipped the driver getting out I had this feeling someone was watching me, I slowly looked around then walked into my apartment building it was nice being in Gotham a change of scenery from the town I was previously in.

Bruce

I smiled hearing Rachel relax when the lawsuit had been dropped. I waited until she was off the phone with her family member and pressed a button on my intercom. "Rachel can I speak with you in my office?" I asked as i had already shut off the monitors so she wouldn't know I was the one who watched all the security footage.

Joker

Seeing her disappear into her apartment complex I grinned. Something about this woman amazed me. I was easily amazed but this one.... Damn something about her made me want to go and dig into her. Chuckling and licking my lips I take and go down through the building plotting my attack for tonight.

Rachel

I took and heard Mr. Wayne as I let a sigh escape my lips. I hang up from my cousin's phone call and head down to his office. Once I arrive I knock on the door hearing him say come in as I step inside. "Yes sir." I reply.

Sarah

I opened the door to my new apartment and inhaled deeply going over to the couch I flopped down and took my heels off letting out a loud breath of happiness. "YEs thank you!" I exclaimed as I stood up and looked at the beautiful view I had. "Wow, its so pretty.." I whispered to myself and called my boss, "Sir I just landed may I please come in and see you tomorrow instead of tonight?" I smiled as he agreed. "Thank you sir I'll see you bright and early tomorrow morning." I sat down and put my feet up.

Bruce

I looked at Rachel and smiled, "Haven't I told you not to call me Sir? It makes me feel old." I said and smiled at her, "Did we get good news on that lawsuit?" I asked pretending I didn't already know the answer to the question I had asked. 'Fantastic!" I said once she replied yes it was good news. "Thats wonderful I'd be so lost without you rachel." I said and stood up smiling at her. "you look exhausted maybe you should cut out early, take the day. Paid of course." I said

Joker

I grinned seeing her laying on the couch as I stared at her. I grinned even more. I was waiting for her... I smirked to myself as I took and left the building rooftop and headed for the open alley way where I was planning on making an attack tonight.

Rachel

I took and smiled at Bruce, "I can't do that Bruce." I replied softly. "Thank you for the offer though. I have so much cases to work on and everything." I told him as I saw the frown on his lips. Maybe I could take the rest of the day off and catch up on them at home, "On a second note. I will. Thank you for this." I replied to him as I began to leave his office.

Sarah

I stood up after a while and decided I needed to go out and explore, find some food and make my way towards my cousins home. I slowly walked to the elevator and rode it down the the lobby I waved to the door man and started to walk it was dusk and the sun had already gone behind all the tall buildings she tucked her hands in her pockets she gasped when a man grabbed her and pulled her into the alley she wasn't freaked out she kicked him in the side "GET OFF!" She shouted and pulled back.

I looked at him unafraid. "get off me clown boy, pick on someone your own size."

Bruce

"Not even a goodbye Miss?" I asked laughing as I waved bye to her. I sighed once she was gone I knew I wouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell with her. I looked over at the monitors and watched her leave I quickly took my leave and made my way into the sub basement that only I had access to I pulled up my monitors in the bat cave and saw her get home safely. "Good.." I sighed.

Joker

I took and chuckled seeing her call me names, "Clown boy huh?" I rounded her as I took and held the knife in my hand as I grinned. "A new face comes into Gotham City, and I must know..." I smirked as I taunted her before grabbing her again and holding the knife to her throat. "Why such a beauty is in Gotham?" I whispered against her ear.

Rachel

Dropping my stuff down by the door and my keys into the rightful bowl. I kick the door shut as I sigh and go up to my room and strip my outfit off and slip into some jeans and a long sleeve tee shirt. Pulling my hair out of the formal bun I had it in I let it fall down past my shoulders as I run my fingers through it and decide on calling Sarah to see where she is and if she was ok. Joker had resurfaced and had been causing hell through out Gotham.

Sarah

I felt the cool metal press against my skin I inhaled and stayed calm, "you think knives scare me? Go ahead then clown." I said to him, "Kill me," I showed him no fear at all. I looked at him, "Clowns don't scare me. Its none of your business why I'm in gotham."

Bruce

I stayed in the batcave watching my monitors of the city I heard the voice of alfred on the intercom. "I'll be up shortly for dinner alfred." I said and scanned the camera's near Rachels home to make sure she was okay and safe.

Joker

I chuckled at her as I shook my head a little and threw her down, "Till we meet again." I told her as I took and laughed before disappearing. I was going to spare her life but I had a bigger surprise for her.

Rachel

I took and sat down at the bar as I played with my phone. I had always had a thing for my boss, as odd as that sounded. But there was no way in hell I had a chance with him. Which kind of pissed me off.

Sarah

I let the tears out of my eyes as I got up and dusted myself off. I turned and ran back into my building going into my apartment i locked all the windows and doors, I sighed quietly shaking my head. "Stupid fucking clown." I grabbed my phone and calling Rachel.

Bruce

I decided to call it a night after a few hours of watching the streets I didn't see Joker so I went home and called rachel. "Hey, are you busy tonight? I was hoping we'd be able to have dinner tonight? you know.. uhm if you want to we don't have to.."

Joker

I chuckled as I emerged from the darkness seeing her end the phone call to whom ever she was calling. "So. I am stupid now huh?" I chuckled staring at her.

Rachel

I saw that Sarah had called. I took and kept on the phone line with Bruce as I texted her to see if she was ok. My heart stopped almost when he asked me out to dinner. "I'd love that Bruce." I replied lightly.

Sarah

I nearly jumped out of my skin when I heard his voice though I didn't turn to face him. "What do you want from me? Why do you keep bothering me?" I asked looking out the window of my apartment. I was trying everything to avoid his eyes and to avoid letting him know how truly scared I was of him.

Bruce

"Great, so I'll pick you up in say, two hours?" I asked into the phone smiling once she said yes I hung up and hopped into the shower to ready myself for dinner with Rachel I put on a dress shirt and pants fancy'ing myself up not too much but just enough to look dapper. "Where are you off to Master wayne?" Alfred asked I glanced back at him in the mirror. "A Date with Rachel."

Joker

Watching her and everything I grinned at how terrified she truly looked by me being around her. Grinning ear to ear I step closer to her where I merely inches from her body form.

"I want you." I tell her.

Rachel

I took and smiled as I stared at myself seeing how gorgeous I looked and was ready for this date with Bruce. Smiling to myself I take and head downstairs to wait on him.
