Teacher, Teacher. [closed]

It was the first day of school, no one enjoyed it. The teachers had to spend ninety minutes explaining rules and procedures for their classrooms. The students and to spend their entire day listening to the same things over and over again. It was Scott's third block when he finally decided to show up, getting an unexcused note from the office he strolled into Ms. Monroe's class, nonchalant walking up to her desk and dropping the note. Scott wore simple black jeans, a white tee shirt, with a denim vest. He looked down at his teacher and gave her a slight grin as he ran a hand through his slicked hair. When he did the variety of small tattoos dotted around his forearms were very evident. But he didn't care, everyone knew that, everyone knew him in school. The only thing not everyone knew about was why he acted like he did, and that's because of his abusive father. Scott stood by her desk, waiting for his teacher to tell him where he was to sit, after just dropping the note to her.

Olivia had finished going over the rules with her students as a boy walked into her class. She looked at the note, "Have a seat over there Mr. Randle." She said, pointing to the desk near the window. Olivia stood up and leaned against the desk, "I put a list of books on your desks. Each on of you is to reach at least three of them a semester throughout the year and give a report to me. The outline for the reports are on the back of the paper." She said to them. "There is also a page under that of what we will be going over in the next few weeks." She added.

Scott took his seat, immediately pulling a notebook from his bag, he also pulled out two pens, black and red. Scott wasn't paying much attention as his teacher was explaining what they'd be doing, he wouldn't do it anyway. He began to draw in the notebook he had taken out, it was the only thing he was good at and cared about. Currently he was drawing a dragon, writing his teachers name on the collar. Hearing something outside his head jolted up and he stared out the window. It was as if Scott didn't even hear Ms. Monroe, he could easily tune it out and pay attention to what he wanted. When she mentioned the reading three books he just crumpled the paper and tossed it into his bag.

Olivia saw the boy throw the paper away out of the corner of her eye, "Mr. Randle if you'd like to be a slacker maybe you should find another teacher because in my class you will be doing your work." She said as she walked over and laid another paper on his desk. Olivia moved back to the center of the room and sat down. She wasn't dealing with lazy children and she had no problem putting them in a different class or making them go to the office. Olivia heard the bell ring and watched as the kids began to file out of the room.

Scott rolled his eyes at her comment, doing the same thing with the second piece of paper she handed him. When the bell rang Scott hefted his bag up onto his shoulder, gathered his notebook and pens before he headed towards the door. Purposely taking the long way, walking by her desk and to the threshold of the door. But before he left he stepped back and looked over at his teacher. "I can't be transferred." He said and winked at her, stepping out the door. Which was true, his father may have been an abusive drunk, but he had made sure Scott was in certain classes, and that they couldn't be changed.

Olivia watched as he walked out then sighed. She knew he was going to be the problem child. Then next day Olivia sat at her desk and looked down at the papers on her desk. Olivia bit her bottom lip lightly, knowing her new class would start soon. She leaned back against her seat, hoping Scott wouldnt cause any trouble.

Scott strolled into her class, five minutes late once again, but this time immediately walking over to his out of the way desk. He didn't say a thing, didn't even look up at her, just pulled out his notebook and began to work on the drawing he had started the day before. The only time he actually looked up was when someone made a comment about how people in gangs are disgusting low lives, that pissed him off. Scott had tried not to start a fight today, but his temper got the best of him. He stood up and looked over at the kid. "Say it again, I dare you."

Olivia frowned when Scott spoke, "Scott sit down!" She snapped. She glared at him, "Sit." She said, when he looked at her. She looked at the kid who spoke, "You keep your mouth shut and do your work." She said. She wasn't dealing with it that day. Olivia went on with her lesson, hoping to go without issues. She wasn't letting anyone be mean to any person. She hated that people just couldnt get along.

Scott obeyed her, but he was glaring at the other student for the rest of class. He had put a tag on that kid and wasn't letting him get away with what he had said. Scott wasn't one to let things go, he held grudges and loved revenge. After a little while of glaring down the kid he began another drawing in his notebook, a bit more morbid this time. He had drawn himself beating the kid in the school's parking lot.

Olivia watched him for a moment and saw what he was drawing. SHe sat in her desk as the bell rang. "Scott stay behind." She said. She watched as everyone left, then stood up and walked over to it. She shut the door then looked at him. "Scott why is it that you appear to be angry all the time?" She asked him.

Scott grabbed his notebook and shut it after she had looked at it,ms kidding his pens into the binding. "I dunno, I don't think it seems that way." He said, his eyes avoiding her gaze. He would look above, below, and to the side of Olivia, just not directly at her. Scott rubbed the back of his neck with his hand. "I'm only angry when people make me angry." He muttered and readjusted his bag on his shoulder.

Olivia stared at him, "It certainly doesn't seem that way." She said, crossing her arms. "You realize that you could have just not said anything to that boy today." She said. Olivia hated to see conflict between students and Scott to seem more violent than most people she knew.

Scott rolled his eyes, his voice mocking hers now. "You know he could have just kept his mouth shut." He said and crossed his arms as well. "He did it to piss me off." He muttered under his breath. When Scott finally looked at Olivia he let a small smile creep along his lips, but quickly buried it in a small scowl. But his eyes showed curiosity and brightness.

Olivia stared at him, "How about you start to ignore the comments and focus on yourself. Ive noticed you don't really spend time on your school work." She said. She didn't want to see him fail, but it certainly looked like it was going to happen to him.

Scott shrugged his shoulders and watched her body language carefully. "I gotta get to class." He muttered and hurried put the door. After the final bell had rung dismissing the students were all leaving. But Scott had made his was down to Olivia's classroom. He looked around him before slipping into her room. "Ms. Monroe?" He said quietly, his voice somewhat timid. "Are you staying here to like grade or whatever? If you are can I stay in here until you leave?" He asked, looking at his feet as he rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

Olivia looked at him when he walked in, "Um sure you can. Have a seat." She said. She took a sip of her water then went to grading her papers. She didn't know why he wanted to stay, but she wasn't going to tell him no. Plus maybe he would actually get some work done for once.

Scott sat in the back corner seat and pulled a few papers out of his bag. He was hunched over the paper and writing quickly. He was quiet, with the exception of his writing. After about fifteen minutes he stood up and walked over to her desk, timidly asking. "Can you tell me if I spelled this right?" He asked looking at his feet, holding his paper out to her. He had actually been working on a report for her class on one of the books they were required to read. The last word on his paper was eloquent but spelt with an I instead of an O.

Olivia looked over it then fixed it for him. "There you go." She said after explaining what he did wrong. she looked at him then looked back at her work. She was was glad that he was actually doing the work. Olivia looked at him as he sat down, "When did you make time to read that?" She asked as she held her pen in her hand.

Scott glanced up when she spoke agin, he bit his lip and shrugged his shoulders. "Well." He paused and rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "I, uh, I read it over the summer." He said and shrugged again, giving Olivia a small smile. Outwardly he was sadistic, angry, hostile, and tough. But before he knew anyone he was very nervous and timid, clearly showing right now. "How long until you leave, do you think?" He asked biting his lip again.
