Jase nodded in response to Bruce's question. "This is my roommate," she said, lips turning up in a smirk as she watched Megan and the guy she was with. She looked so incredibly tiny next to him, but then again, he was over six foot two, so anybody probably looked tiny next to him. This night was turning out to be pretty funny, now that she thought of it, because if her prediction was correct, the guy most likely knew Bruce somehow. The entire situation felt like something out of a movie and Jason knew that thinking back on it in the morning would give her a headache. "And I'm assuming you know him, yes?"
Thor chuckled at Bruce's surprised expression, arm still around Megan as everyone started questioning everyone. "This is Bruce, the one who knows science and Northern Lights phenomenon." He smiled down at Megan, actually glad that the two were meeting since they were both fascinated in science. He wasn't sure if the girl, he now knew as Jase, liked science as well as Megan, but it was a possibility. "Perhaps you two can entertain each other with rock talk." He joked, noting Jase's laughter at the joke he made. Thor liked her already. Well, he liked her when he noticed how interested she was in his friend, regardless of the age difference she had to already be aware of.

Bruce looked over at the other girl, studying her. She looked to be about the same age as Jase, though a little bit taller - although that was hard to tell with her standing with Thor. That guy could make anyone look short. He was pleased to see that Thor looked happy with her, even if it just ended up being for tonight (though Bruce suspected that that wasn't very likely, given how things had worked out) because he couldn't remember the last time he'd seen Thor look truly happy with someone else. A lot of people gave him up as a lost cause when they realised he still struggled with English, and his interest and involvement with history didn't always appeal. "Yeah," he said in answer to Jase's question. "That's Thor, he's a..." He stopped himself before he revealed the fact that he was a professor at the college. He wasn't quite ready to share that piece of information and put Jase off. "We work together." Remaining vague - but truthful - would be the best way forward. At least until things had become more established.
"He doesn't look like a bother," was the first thing Megan could think of to say, frowning as she took him in. In fact, he looked very stereotypically like someone who would be interested in science, and she was interested to speak to him. She was a little surprised that Jase had gone for him, in all honesty, but at the same time she could kind of see where her friend was coming from. He wasn't unattractive, and the chances of him being as annoying as some of the other guys Jase - and herself, Megan had to admit - had been involved with were slim. She elbowed Thor in the side when she heard his joke. "Believe it or not, I don't know anything about rocks." She could see how this relationship would work out and she rolled her eyes. When she realised what she'd just thought, she backtracked a bit. Relationhip? The idea wasn't... unappealing.

"Come on," Megan said, taking Thor's hand and tugging it. "She'll want to know everything, so we may as well get this over with now."

Jase could've very well assumed that Thor was a graduate student or something, but he actually worked with Bruce. She wasn't sure where they worked were a guy like that and Bruce would be colleagues, to be quite honest. Jason wasn't gonna press him about it, though. They still had time before having to go home and catch enough sleep to last through classes in the morning - she'd rather not ruin the night by asking about details of work. "He seems...rugged. Like he shouldn't be living in the city rugged. He's not from here, is he? To my knowledge, his name hails from Norse mythology - is he Norwegian or something?" Jase could've kept going about his name and Norse mythology but she wasn't sure if Bruce would be into that. No one was really into it. Usually when she got going on history or mythology, it was hard for Jason to contain her excitement about the knowledge she had of it. Call it a flaw.
"He is like brother to me," Thor stated, "All brothers are a bother. A good bother." He laughed a little at the feeling of Megan's elbow to his side. "What kind of science person are you?" He knew rocks weren't entirely fun science topics to discuss, but it was one of the only ones he knew. That and DNA. Even from the slight distance between them, Thor could hear Jase going on about something, able to pick up the end bits about Norse mythology. If he were a puppy, his ears would've pricked up. "Yes, let's go." Thor said, unable to hide the excitement he felt as he walked over with Megan to Bruce and Jase. He hoped she was interested in history like he was, then it'd give them something to talk about without feeling left out of Bruce and Megan's science talk.

Bruce was a bit taken aback by Jase's enthusiasm. At least he was learning things about her: likes Ramen and Frosted Flakes, dislikes whatever music was playing in the club, seems to have an interest in mythology. He was pleased with his little list, considering he'd only met her a an hour or two ago. "Slow down a bit," he said, laughing slightly, lifting a hand in a placating way as he took in everything she'd said. "He's from Sweden. I think he grew up in the country there, or at least he spent a lot of time outside from what he's told me. I'm not sure about the myth thing, you'd have to ask him yourself." Science and mythology didn't exactly go hand in hand, and Bruce much preferred the facts of black and white definiteness of science.

He glanced up when he heard the click of the girl's heels as she and Thor walked over to where he and Jason were stood. "What's her name?" he asked her, not being able to recall it, and not wanting to come across as rude when he knew everyone's name except hers.
Megan took his word for it, not having any siblings to fully understand what Thor meant. "I'm a plants and chemical science person," she explained to him. "Plants are my favourite though." She guessed that Thor wasn't much of an anything science person, from the way he spoke about it. That, or he just couldn't find the right words in English for what he meant. It was kind of cute, the way he spoke and put his words together. She guessed it could often be frustrating for him, struggling in the middle of conversations, and no doubt being ridiculed for his accent sometimes. It was a bit upsetting to think that someone as nice and polite as Thor would feel upset or frustrated about it.

When they'd reached Bruce and Jase, Megan gave a little wave to them. "Hi," she said, feeling nervous. Which was a first, she was always comfortable in front of Jase, even with all the other guys she'd introduced to her and brought home.

Jase laughed at her own failed attempt at hiding her excitement, slight blush rising in her cheeks as she felt the embarrassment start to set in. Normally, people took Jason for this hard ass who always looked sort of cold and distant, but as soon as she got the opportunity to talk about history or mythology, her eyes lit up. It was always her favorite subject in school and the only option to major in. She wasn't sure if she wanted to teach it or not yet - she was still deciding. Her main focus was just majoring in Ancient and Medieval Studies with a recommended personal minor in (lucky for her) Swedish. Not that she wanted to test out her Swedish skills on Thor (she totally did) or anything, but it was a lucky coincidence that he was actually from one of the places she was studying. "That's cool," she said, trying to play it cool after letting her geek flag fly. She was most definitely gonna ask Thor about his name and surprise him with her limited knowledge of Swedish. "Megan," Jase replied just before the two approached, "Hey Megs. Thor det är trevligt att träffa dig."
Thor nodded. He knew a little about plants from growing up. His father taught he and Loki which ones were poisonous, which could be eaten, and which would be good as medicine if ever needed. With that being said, it didn't mean that Thor necessarily took up an interest in plants upon learning that information, it was just good to know for his personal reasons. Thor smiled at Bruce and Jase, eyes widening at her near perfect accent as she spoke to him in his native tongue. "It's nice to meet you also. Din dialekt är mycket bra." Yeah, he thought Jase was pretty cool, especially when she asked if his name was really based off of Norse mythology. "Ah, yes. My father's father always told him those stories when he was young and his favorite was always Thor. As his first son, he named me after him and raised me on his story."
