  • Elliot watched the boy walk away again, then and there deciding that it was a lost cause. He'd try to ask his parents if they knew anything about what he had just learned. He really wished that they didn't, that he could live in a world where his parents were nice and caring people. It wasn't long before he was then thinking of getting to class, leaving the area as he found himself going to his sidekick class, tapping a finger on his desk as he stared out the window. He couldn't help but wonder exactly if Jasper could ever forgive him, even though he knew that he didn't do anything. It was slightly unfair that the boy held a grudge for the fact that he was just related to the people who hurt his parents. He didn't choose to be the child of them, didn't even know if he fit in enough to be an Oslin. Everything about him was far too awkward and uncertain to be considered heir to the most powerful superheroes.

  • The day seemed to drone on and on, especially through powers class and math. Eugh, math. But once science rolled around, Jasper was a bit more interested. Science in this school was a bit different than in other schools, all considering. He walked to an empty table, watching kids partner up with their friends. And that's when Elliot walked in, and Jasper was the only one left without a partner. He cursed under his breath and looked away, hoping like hell someone switched with him. But nobody wanted to be his partner because he was so standoffish, and he wasn't particularly nice, either. He sighed heavily when Oslin sat next to him and he held his head in his hands. This was gonna be one hell of a year. Of course Elliot was in advanced classes. Everyone knew how smart he was and Jasper was sure that his parents had pushed the school to let him be in the higher classes.

  • Elliot had no where else to sit but next to Jasper, which was unfortunate because he wanted to make it a goal of his to be as far away from the older boy as possible. He saw a few of his friends looking at him longingly, as if to tell him silently that they wanted him in their group. There was a shy smile delivered to them, letting them know that he was okay with being near the man. He crossed his legs as he went to looking at the rubric that was handed to them that explained exactly what this project was going to be. "Do you want to do it with me or just do certain parts individually? We can just put it all together afterwards," he muttered, knowing that the boy next to him would rather be on a different planet than him. He didn't really blame Jasper, he doubted he would want to be near him either.

  • Jasper sighed softly. He guessed he might as well put effort in this class since it was his favorite. "I plan on getting an A. So I'm putting as much effort into this as I can," he said. He tore a sheet out of his notebook, jotting his address down on it and sliding it across the table to Elliot. "Come over after school. We can start working on it." Jasper might want to be a villain like his parents, but that didn't mean he slacked in school. He needed his education just like everyone else. He needed to know everything that needed to be known about superheroes if he was going to be defeating them in the future, right?

  • Elliot nodded his head, thankful that Jasper actually wanted to work on this project. He assumed that quite a few people believed that he was getting the grades he got because of his parents, but he honestly did like taking all the advance classes he could. If he tried hard enough, he could manage to graduate early, maybe find a town to move to and save from any kind of danger. "Thank you," he mumbled. He opened his book, trying to focus on the lesson that the teacher was going over. He felt himself smiling as he realised that Jasper did want to communicate with him even if it was just for a small portion of time when they had to work together. "When should I come over?" He asked as the bell rang, collecting his things.

  • "Sometime after five," Jasper said. He wanted to go home, make dinner and enjoy a few hours away from school before he had Elliot over. He stood from his seat and put all his things away, giving the boy a nod before he left. He was really hoping that he didn't regret giving the boy his address, but he was an adult now. He could make his own decisions and do as he wanted. He had to trust himself with what he did, and he was trusting himself now. As long as Elliot didn't press on about the whole parents thing, they would be fine. No communication outside the project and they'd be perfect. He headed to his last class of the day before going home after the last bell. He walked in his house and sat on the couch, turning the TV on.

  • Elliot didn't know how he was exactly going to face his parents when he returned home, but luckily he didn't have to. He found a note saying that they'd be gone to help another team of superheroes defeat a mass threat somewhere in Europe. He felt relief only to bite his lip once he realised that he had no real way to get to Jasper's house since no one was home. Eventually, though, he found that the boy didn't live too awful far away from him. He just grabbed his backpack and made his way to the address that was written on the paper. He checked his watch, seeing it was five on the dot. He hummed, wondering if that was still too early, but he didn't exactly want to just wait outside the boy's house for ten or so minutes. By the time he decided to knock, it was already five after and he decided it was good enough. He knocked on the door, looking at the ground as he nervously shuffled his feet.

  • Jasper had just finished dinner when there was a knock on his front door. He stood up and walked to it, unlocking the door and pulling it open. He sighed softly as he looked at Elliot, allowing the boy inside his home. He wasn't so sure if this was the greatest idea; maybe they could have met somewhere in the middle, but it was too late now. Once Elliot had walked inside, he shut the door and looked at him. "So, let's get started, yeah?" he questioned, leading him into the living room.
