Matthew Sanders | The Rockstar
He had taken to sprawling on his couch, having gone back to playing CoD he may actually have a slight addiction when he got a reply back from Hannah confirming that she indeed had a good day. Unsure of how to answer the latter part of her text Matthew settled for "Long. Hard work, they say it pays off though." Hoping to keep their conversation light, the man made sure to minimize his frustrations with himself and the slow going of the recording. For awhile after that his phone remained quiet, and figuring she was doing something, Matt just let her be. His house was quiet, way too quiet and it kind of put him on edge. Normally he enjoyed the solitude, but there was something about this day where he simply didn't want to be alone. As if some higher force was answering his wants Matt's phone lit up; and when he glanced away someone had headshot his player in the online game. "Fuck." He grumbled, though brightened when he saw Hannah's name.
"Would you be up for some light night mischief?" Feeling his heart skip a couple beats, Matt sat up a little straighter. "I am upstanding citizen of the law. But for you... I'll see what I can do." He teased, already getting up to get ready. Showering didn't take too long, Matt didn't have a ton of hair due to the buzz he usually kept, and since he showered this morning he didn't really scrub at his skin as hard as he usually did. With that out of the way he all but jogged to his room in order to get dressed. Causal was probably the best, so he changed into a clean shirt white shirt that had a cat printed on the front, and a pair of worn but comfortable gray jeans and a belt simple black belt. Deeming his clothing acceptable Matt had grabbed his keys and wallet and was in the car when his phone vibrated against his thigh. "Be here in twenty ;) Hannah bade him, and that dimpled grin bloomed on his face once again. By the time he pulled into her driveway she was already downstairs, dressed rather nicely. She greeted him sweetly as ever, and chuckled as she asked him if he was up to doing whatever she had planned.
"Work was fine Hannah, I'd love to do... Whatever mischief you had planned." Matt promised in a low rumble, as he leaned over and kissed her forehead. He didn't want to overstep any boundaries so he quickly straightened back up after his chaste kiss. "Although you do have me curious- what exactly are we doing? You look beautiful by the way." His hazel gaze drank the sight of her in, as Matt hesitantly turned towards his car. Did she want to go out again? That was fine by him, Matt could forget about his off day and just spend time with her. Plus it was nice to get out of his house every once and awhile. Overhead the sun had already melted away into night, and the inky blackness was broken by the many lights of California. It was never truly dark here.

She could feel her face fall, though quickly tried to force a smile. She knew he worked hard, and his work kept them living comfortably. "I guess we'll really have to skype." She spoke in a weak voice, that wavering smile on her face. It didn't feel entirely fair. They were just starting work their messed up shit out; and then they were called away. Fuck. This was the worst part of his job, and her's. At Brian's comment they would just have to work through this Lyric wordlessly nodded. At least they would have this week together. And hopefully it would be enough to keep them in love. But that wasn't the right word. They always loved each other; just life had forced it's way between them. As Brian left their bedroom, Lyric waited a few minutes before getting dressed again in the outfit that he'd peeled off her only minutes ago. That cold pit in her stomach was back again and the curvy brunette hoped that all would still be well between them.
Going to their mirror, hurriedly applying some makeup and throwing on one of her shorter dresses decided to go and search for Brian. Lyric wanted to at least know how long he'd be gone. And where. Was it abroad? Worldwide? Maybe she'd visit some friends while he was away. It'd been a long, long time since Lyric had been back to her own hometown. Though that would mean she'd have to deal with er mother for awhile. Wrinkling her nose at the thought Lyric found her beau in the kitchen, rooting through the fridge to try and find something to eat. Sneaking up behind him, she leaned against his back, arms snaking around his waist. "So, tell me more about the tour." She asked, in a friendly tone. Probably kinder than she'd spoken to him in awhile. "What other bands are going?" Lyric wanted to sound interested in his work. And she was, he was talented and adored by many.
