To Begin Again

He smiled, "Must be the womans touch," he said to her.

She nodded,"We should stock up as much as we can, while we can because some times it whites out here, and we can't do anything,"

"Maybe," She murmured. "I'm happy if it keeps you from having nightmares though."

"Just tell me how, and I can help." He smiled at her.

He smiled al ittle as he looked at her,"Maybe we met for a reason," he said to her softly.

She nodded,"There is a fire axe there, and some logs I had cut down and brought over, just cut them up as well as you can,"

"Maybe. Maybe to keep each other alive, safe, and sane." She murmured.

"Sure, I'll be right back." He smiled at her.

She nodded a little and then sat down rubbing the back of her neck.

He smiled a little,"I think we can manage that,"

She smiled a little and nodded, looking at him. "I think so," She said.

He came back about an hour later and set the few pieces he could carry into the corner. "The rest are outside."

She smiled a little,"Alright, good, we'll move some of them inside and I can cut more tomorrow, dinner is done lets eat,"

He smiled a little ,"Me too," he said to her as he stretched.

She smiled a little and nodded. "I'll go work on dinner," She said, getting up and stretching.

He nodded a little and followed her. "Alright, lets go."

She walked to where the food was on the stove, "I added a few things I had stocked up so we are having lemon pepper chicken," she said to him.

He smiled a little,"Ill help, we got some rice rations from the camp some beans too those we can use tomorrow," he told her.

She nodded a little. "Alright, come on then. The stove should be hot by now."

He nodded. "Sounds good," He said, sitting on the floor by the fire.

He noded a little and walked with her down the stairs.

She smiled as she handed him a plate with the rice and meat. "Here you go,"

She headed into the kitchen and got a pot, adding meat in to cook and then boiling water for rice. "We'll need to shop for some spices too," She murmured. "Salts, pepper, seasonings."

He smiled a little and took the bowl, and began eating. "Thanks."

He nodded,"There was a market not too far from here - we passed it on our way but it was empty cause of the weather" he said to her,

She smiled a little as she began eating and sighed in content, "This is so good, best spice ever," she said as she ate her food.

"Alright, maybe in a bit, we'll go back over and trade stuff." She murmured.

He nodded. "It is good, Its rare though, it doesnt come around as often as it should."

He nodded,"Sounds like a plan, what will we trade though?" he asked.

She nodded, "I'm going to finish my nets before bed tonight, and then tomorrow morning I'll catch some salmon with it then we can head out to the trade depot for spices and stuff, more blankets maybe a couple chickens and rooster," she smiled.

"Medicines, youre going to show me how to make stuff so we can survive out here. We have the entire garden to grow things, and we can use the prep kitchen to make it." She said to him.

"Sounds like a plan," He murmured, stretching his arms over his head. "Ill bring in more wood and then we can both go to sleep."
