The war had effected just about everyone, some more than others. Loved ones were lost, families were torn apart, lives were permanently altered, and Hermione knew that Draco Malfoy was no exception to this fact. There had been whispers during the war that the Malfoy's son had been bitten, by Greyback nonetheless, but they had been just that. Whispers. No one had actual proof. Well, no one who couldn't pick up on the signs anyway. Hermione thought they were rather noticeable, though she supposed that some people just hadn't been paying much attention in Defense Against the Dark Arts. It was either that, or people were much less observant than they seemed to be.
Most people in Hermione's position wouldn't have felt sorry for someone who had tormented them and their friends for years, but she wasn't most people. It was fairly obvious that the Malfoys had shunned their son after discovering what he had become, and no one, not even Draco Malfoy deserved that. For several months now she'd been attempting to slip him Wolfsbane every chance he got. No one knew what she was up to, not even Malfoy himself.
Losing a family member was hard, it was almost like losing a limb. George was sure that this was much worse than that though. He would know, having lost an ear and all, that this was much, much worse. After all, this hadn't been just any family member, it had been his twin brother. He'd never imagined losing Fred, not like this and certainly not so soon. He could never have picture himself, or the rest of his family, going through something so traumatic. George honestly didn't know what he would do without Angelina. She'd been keeping him sane since it all happened, she'd been by his side, helping him as much as she could, and for that, he would be eternally grateful.
Some days were easier than others. It was hard to tell how things were going to go. Sometimes, he'd be fine, and things would almost seem normal for the time being, however, sometimes he just snapped or broke down. And he honestly didn't know why Angelina kept by him through all of that. She was a saint that girl, that was for sure.
