Dark Love

Rosaline

It was Rosaline's sister and her's first day of Junior year at the school here in the new town of Scranton, PA. Evangeline, who she likes to call "Eva" for short, and Rosaline were forced into a foster home after their parents were caught being vicious drug lords back in Streetsboro, OH. This was their 2nd foster home (first one having highly abusive parents) and for this "home", the parents neglected them constantly since day one, which was 6 months ago. At this point, Eva and Rosaline could care less in the switching of foster homes, since they tend to wander alone anyways.

Rosaline sometimes get lucky selling art and doing tattoos (learned from an old friend) while Eva makes jewelry and is really good in makeup. They try their best to cope and financially stay together alone when they can...

Walking into the building of the Scranton High School with her sister, Rosaline was already getting weird looks by the people in the halls. Eva was wearing a draped black sweater (since it was cold at this time of September already) and some skinny jeans with black combat boots. Her eyes were covered by dark makeup just like Rosaline's.

For Rosaline, she has very pale skin with dark makeup on her face to add to the "Goth" vibe, along with wearing a black Misfits tank top, black skinny jeans and knee high strapped boots. She guessed by the looks that they were immediately stamped the label of "outcasts".

Fucking great.

Ricky

"Man, I hate school," Josh grumbled as he walked with Ricky to Chris' locker, "I just want to go out and get drunk back at Chris' garage studio," he chuckled.

Ricky rolled the eyes, shoving his books in his school locker, "Stop whining, you and your alcoholic crap. You need to lay off the drinking, dammit."

"Pssh, in your dreams," Josh joked, noticing two girls walk in that everyone was giving weird looks too, "Who are they?"

Ricky glanced over, "Must be brand new to the neighborhood. That's probably why. I'm getting a little curious now," he wiggled his eyebrows at Josh, nudging Chris to look, "We got new chicks and they have the same style we have. About time," he smirked.

Evangaline

Eva walked with her head down next to her sister. People were staring at them and she knew that they were already labeling them as "outcasts" "weirdos" "freaks" because of the way they looked. She sighed and looked up as she walked. She saw a group of boys, who seemed to be dressed just like them; even wearing black makeup and black nail polish, staring at them. Eva looked down at the ground as they passed them.

Once they were far enough out of hearing range, she looked at her sister. "Did you see those guys looking at us?" She asked softly. Rosaline nodded, "I did...along with everyone else." She mumbled. Eva chewed on her bottom lip, "yeah but at least those guys looked just like us.." She said and then got quiet as she saw two of the boys walking towards them. "Rosa..." She said, nudging her sister.

Chris

Chris watched the two girls walk by him and the rest of his friends. All of them followed the two figures as they went around the corner to their lockers, or what Chris assumed. Ryan and Devin had just shown up and luckily neither of them saw the new girls. "Man today is going to blow." Ryan groaned. "I know. I should have gotten drunk last night." Josh sighed. Chris rolled his eyes, "Ricky, come with me...we'll see you guys around." He said, closing his locker and heading towards wherever the girls went.

He saw the two of them standing in front of some lockers, talking quietly but instantly stopping once they spotted Ricky and him. The two of them looked at them as they stopped a few feet in front of them. "Hey, you two aren't from around here." Chris said, offering a smile. Neither of them spoke for a moment, before who Chris assumed was the older sister, spoke up. "Yeah, we are." She said.

"I'm Chris and this is my best friend Ricky." Chris said, introducing themselves. Ricky smiled at the shorter girl in the black sweater with bangs. "I'm Rosaline and this is my sister Evangaline.." She said, looking the two boys up and down. Chris smiled. "Cute names for two cute girls." He smirked.

Rose

Rosaline couldn't help but blush at Chris' words, pushing some strands behind her ear, "Oh...well thank you for the compliment I guess."

"Your welcome," Chris smiled cheekily, "Do you...have your schedule? You will probably need some help surviving through this school year with these perky fuckers around," he jerked his thumb to the crowds walking by.

Rose hesitated before digging her schedule out of her pocket, unfolding it, and giving it to him, "Here," she muttered, clearing her throat when he began looking at it, "So, do you live near the school at all?"

"We live down Forest Drive," Ricky said.

"That's where we live," Eva said instantly after he spoke, some redness creeping up her cheeks, "Sorry, but yeah we live on the same street, how weird."

"Looks like we have 1st period English, 3rd period History, and Lunch," Chris smirked, handing back the schedule to Rose, "I will be happy to lead you to first period, that way it won't be awkward walking into the classroom."

Ricky

After Chris spoke, Ricky immediately looked back over at Eva, "So what's your schedule?" he asked politely as he was soon handed over her schedule, "I hope we have lunch together....and would you look at that, we have 1st period Math, 4th period Biology and lunch with Chris and your sister. Pretty damn good first year here," he smirked as he handed back the schedule.

"Would you mind...showing me the Math room in this fucking maze?" Eva smiled, clutching the straps of her bookbag, "I'll see you around Rose."

"Same with you, see you at lunch," Eva grinned, patting her sister's back as Ricky and her went off to Math, leaving Eva and Chris alone, "I guess you can do the same with me going to English. Honestly, that is my favorite subject. I love literature," she chuckled.

"I love it too...but some of the books they pick make me gag," Chris joked, gesturing to down the hall, "Come on."

Eva

"Well that's pretty cool." Eva giggled softly as she slipped her schedule into her notebook. She began walking with Ricky to Math class. She hated Math, it wasn't her best subject; that was Rose's. Eva was better at English where her sister was the Math geek. Ricky opened the door for her and she thanked him quietly before walking in.

None of the students acknowledged her and she gave the teacher the slip of paper with her name on. "Settle down, class. We have a new student today," the teacher said as Ricky went to take his seat behind a boy who looked similar to him in style but had long brown hair and didn't wear any makeup. Everyone turned to look towards the front. "This is Evangaline Grey." The teacher said. She looked at Eva, "do you want to tell the class a little about you?" She asked. Eva sighed. "My sister and I just moved here a few weeks ago...we're foster kids...that's about it." She shrugged. "Well you can go sit in the first empty seat." She said, patting her shoulder.

The first empty seat happened to be right beside Ricky. She sat down, looking at the desk until she felt eyes on her. She looked up and Ricky gave her a smile. The boy in front of him cleared his throat. Ricky rolled his eyes, "this is my other best friend Ryan." Ricky said. "Sup." Ryan smiled at her. Eva smiled but didn't answer. "Sitkowski, Olson! Pay attention please!" The teacher said, making the other students giggle.

Chris

Chris opened the door to the English class for Rose, allowing her to go in before he followed. He went to take his seat behind Balz and in front of Devin while Rose introduced herself to the class.

"So, whose the new chick?" Devin asked quietly. "Her name is Rose. She has a sister named Eva...her and Rick have Math together." Chris said while he listened to Rose speak. "Poor girl. She has to put up with Ricky and Ryan." Balz chuckled, turning in his seat and shaking his head. Devin giggled softly behind Chris. Chris rolled his eyes, "yeah but poor Rose, she has to put up with you two idiots." Chris joked, smirking when his friends pretended to be hurt. "You're so mean!" Josh gasped. "That's me, now hush." Chris said as Rose made her way back to them to sit down.

Rosaline

Rose was not one to give good speeches about herself in the class. It gave her the full view of all the girls she pointed out to be whispering about her and giving her looks, along with some of the boys that looked at her as if she was a circus freak. Rose pretty much talked about her hobbies, goals, and favorite subject. The teacher seemed rather interested in her potential but Rose hoped that he wasn't a total dickbox because of her "differences" from everyone else.

Taking a seat right next to Chris, Rose smiled over at him and his friends, "Hey...are those your friends?"

"Yup," Chris chuckled, jerking his thumb to Josh and Devin, "The one in front of me is Josh," he pointed out as Josh waved with a flirty smirk, "And the one behind me is Devin," he gestured to the guy behind him, who smiled brightly and waved, "They are complete idiots so don't fall for any of their crazy tricks.

"Asshole," Josh grumbled with a chuckle, causing Rose to giggle slightly as she looked over the syllabus in her folder for this class, "Really have to make me look bad in front of the pretty girl, huh?" he whispered, leaning over a bit, "You should invite her for a hangout tonight at your house."

"A hangout?" Rose asked quietly with a raised brow.

Ricky

Ricky rolled his eyes when the teacher called him and Ryan out for talking to Eva. But that didn't stop him from wanting to stay in contact with her throughout this boring-ass class.

Taking out a notecard, Ricky pulled out his pen from his bag and began writing down some things to keep her busy:

So, are you having any plans tonight?
My friends and I are hanging at Chris' house for a small hangout and it isn't often we get pretty girls like you of our style to chill out with us. There will be some beer, junk food, horror movies, and music. Just hanging out as friends, that's all. I highly suggest you come over and try to live a little. Up to you, gorgeous

He placed his pencil down and glanced when the teacher looked away before he slipped the notecard under Eva's notebook with a smirk. Ryan looked at him weirdly but Ricky placed a finger to his own lips. From there on, Ricky waited patiently for Eva to respond as she began replying to his notecard on the other side of it with her purple pen.

Eva

Eva looked over at Ricky as he slipped a notecard onto her desk. She pulled it in front of her, reading the writing. She smiled a little before turning it over and pulling out her purple pen as she tried to think of what to respond with. The idea sounded good but at the same time, if it was only going to be Ricky and his friends, and her and her sister, she had no idea what could possibly go on.

Sounds exciting. I honestly have no plans tonight but I have to check with Rose; I'm sure she has no plans either. I'll get with her later on and ask her about it, even though I'm sure Chris is already talking to her about it.

She waited until the teacher had her back turn before slipping the note over to Ricky. She watched him from the side of her eye as he picked it up and smiled. Eva smiled before turning her attention back to the class.

Chris

Chris looked over as Rose spoke. "Yeah, Josh and Devin, along with Ricky and our other friend Ryan are coming over to my house tonight to hangout. You and your sister are more than welcome to come." Chris explained. Josh and Devin smiled. "It'll be fun. Chris' parents are usually gone on the weekend so we all just pretty much camp out at his house." Devin explained. "And eat all my food." Chris mumbled, seeing Rose giggle. "We do not!" Josh said.

Chris was about to say something before the teacher interrupted. "Mister Cerulli, is there something you'd like to share with the rest of the class?" He asked, crossing his arms over his chest. Chris just smiled, "no sir, not at all." He said. "Than I appreciate it if you and your friends would pay attention. You can talk after class." He said before turning back around.

Rose

Later on at lunch, Rose headed down to the cafeteria to catch up with her sister on how the day was going so far. Rose was sure that Eva accepted the invitation with Ricky to the party tonight. It was just weird to her that school would start on a Friday when the weekend is right there. I guess, from what she heard, something went on in the school district that made them get behind. Rose just shrugged the thought off and went towards the table the guys were sitting at...but before she could get there, a perky junior of strawberry blonde hair and a mask of makeup stopped in front of her.

"So, I heard you were a foster kid like Eva? New to this school?" the girl asked rather too curiously.

"Uh...yeah?" Rose replied with a raised brow, "Is there a problem?"

"Nah," the girl shook her head, a slight sinister smirk on her lips, "I'm just glad that wiped-up trash like you finally found a group that I guess would accept you. I mean, seriously, ever thought about dressing normally like most of the girls here? This isn't a freakshow."

Rose knew this girl was wanting to push buttons and she wasn't having any of it, "Fuck off," Rose spat out before smacking her shoulder into the girl while walking past her.

Right when Rose sat down next to Chris, she couldn't get that random talk out of her mind, "Hi guys."

Ricky

"Dude seriously, my brother has all of this booze in the downstairs fridge," Ryan pointed out, "I can easily get in my car, pick it up from my house, and stroll right over to Chris' place. Trust me, the alcohol is fucking spot on."

"Really? Like how good, hm?" Chris asked curiously, smiling when he watched Rose sit down right next to him.

But before he could even speak, Chris could tell something or someone particular was bothering her. Even Ricky could notice it, along with Eva. Ricky gave a look to Chris to not bring it up at the moment and just try to lighten everything up.

"So, Eva, are you a good drinker?" Ricky asked with a smirk, "Because...I plan on hosting a good amount of drinking games. I mean, we won't get wasted, but at least chill out and have fun. I just hope I know what I am up against," he winked.

Eva

Eva looked over at Ricky. "I suppose I can hold my liquor really well." She said, smirking. Ricky just smirked. They kept eating and once they were done, the guys got up to dump the trays of food out, leaving the girls alone. Rose got up and moved beside her sister, the two of them sitting there for a moment.

"So what happened?" Eva asked.

"Some stupid cheerleader type girl." Rose mumbled.

"Oh boy." Eva sighed.

"Yeah, I just don't want a repeat of last time." Rose sighed.

"Well, that girl had it coming.." Eva said.

"You almost killed her, Eva."

"Like I said, she had it coming." Eva shrugged.

"So, you and Ricky?" Rose smirked.

"Shut up." Eva said, blushing slightly.

They looked up as the same girl that had talked to Rose not even twenty minutes ago, returned with a couple of her carbon copies. "What do you want?" Eva asked, looking up at them. "We just wanted to see how you two were enjoying your first day." One of the carbon copies smirked.

"It'd be better if you three would fuck off." Eva said, standing up.

"Oh, we're so scared." The first girl said, making her two friends giggle.

"Eva, come on." Rose said, standing up. She knew where this was going to lead and she didn't want her sister getting into yet another fight.

Chris

Chris and the guys dumped the trays out and then snuck out so Ryan and Ricky could have a cigarette. They were talking about the party tonight and how Ryan was going to get the alcohol to them. "Thank God you have an older brother." Chris said. "Right? I'm so lucky." Ryan laughed. "Until he finds out you've been stealing his alcohol and kills you." Balz chuckled.

"Doubt it." Ryan laughed, flicking his ashes off of his cigarette.

"I wonder what was bothering Rose." Chris said.

"You can ask her later, maybe tonight." Ricky said, receiving nods from the others.

They were about to go back inside when they heard people yelling "fight, fight!" The boys exchanged looks before going back inside and seeing Rose pulling Eva off of a bloodied Tessa. Rose grabbed her sister's hand and pulled her out of the cafeteria.

"Eva! Enough!" Rose yelled as she finally was able to pull Eva off of the bitch named Tessa, who started it all with a rough shove against Rose...and then came Eva with a massive punch, "Come on, keep it cool," Rose whispered in Eva's ear as she tried to comfort her sister and restrain her from going at it again.

"What the hell is going on!?" yelled a male administrator of the school, glancing his angered brown eyes from Tessa to Rose and Eva, "Why the fighting? And why is Tessa here all beat up on the face?"

"Tessa shoved my sister, sir," Rose said politely and maturely, "Eva suffers through behavioral problems because of the past and...well...Tessa triggered a bad one. I restrained my sister the best I could, sir."

"The three of you, in my office, now," the administrator commanded like a thunder in the clouds as Tessa painfully got to her feet and Rose walked with Eva upstairs.

Once they sat down in the office minutes later with the administrator, who was called Mr. Davis, Rose kept her head low on the lecture between Davis and the two suspects of the fight, "You two need to make it up, I swear to God...mainly you, Tessa."

Tessa was outraged, "What the hell did I do? The white trash punched me first."

"Well maybe if you didn't shove me like a true piece of shit you are, none of this-"

"Enough!" Davis boomed with a dramatic gesture, causing the room to go silent, "Now, I will have to do some suspensions here, but mainly for you Tessa. You are suspended for a week from school for tormenting not only Evangeline, but other new students this year as well. I been getting the word the past two years you have been here and I have had enough."

Eva was about to laugh at Tessa's tears that streamed her face but she immediately held it back when Davis looked at her, "As for you young lady, I have read your medical records, your past experiences and all that jazz from the school counselor this past month. I will let you off moderately on this one, considering Tessa has a bad record of physical fights. You will be sent home as of today at this moment and will think through everything. Because if this happens again, I will threaten suspension on you as well. Is that anyway unclear, Ms. Grey?"

"Crystal sir," Eva sighed.

Ricky

"What do you think happened that caused Tessa and Eva to break out?" Ryan asked curiously, "That bitch always caused fights to go on and damn, I hope she gets put down this time after how many poor girls I have seen her torment."

"No shit," Chris exhaled as Ricky rubbed his arms in nervousness, "I fucking hate those cunts."

When Rose and Eva walked outside with Tessa remaining in the office, Ricky stood up and came face-to-face with Eva on the situation, "Are you okay? Are you in big trouble."

"No not really...just forced to be sent home very early as just a mild punishment," Eva sighed, revealing a slight smirk soon after, "But Tessa got suspended for a week."

"No fucking way," Ryan laughed, clapping his hands together, "You, Eva, are a total savior. Man, I bet she needs a plastic surgeon for her face now."

"Yeah," Eva giggled, soon frowning a bit, "Well, I have to walk home now."

"No," Ricky stopped her, "I'll take you home. Better yet, let's go get some coffee. I'm not letting you go back home after all that, fuck no. Plus, the monitors know how much of a 'good boy' I am and would fall for the fact that I was escorted to take you home," he winked, "What do you say?"
