Ezra sighed to himself as he quietly made his way through his father's castle. Today was a rather quiet day in the kingdom, so getting the opportunity to just roam the halls of the castle was good enough for him. It gave him time to think, to reflect on his life and the future that was in hand for him. After a few minutes had passed, Ezra quickly made his way outside. Quickly walking to the stables, he grabbed his horse, and saddled up the horse himself. Sure, he was the prince, but that didn't mean he didn't know how to do things for himself. Once the horse was set, Ezra gently climbed up onto the horse, quietly commanding it to go. The horse started moving, heading in the direction that Ezra commanded him to go. Today Ezra had decided that he would go stroll the town and its people...say hello to some of the citizens and just take in the beauty of the village. He made his way into the village and just nodded when people saw him. For the most part, this village was a safe place so for Ezra to be out and about without guards.

Katherine, or as she preferred Katie, looked at her father as he sat with her at the table. They had just finished their afternoon meal together and he was telling her about the things that would be happening within the kingdom for the next couple of days. Usually knowing what all was going on in the kingdom was something Katie didn't need to know, but this time was a different story. Just about a week ago, Katie had got news from her father that she was to be meeting a newly-widowed king in hopes of her, the princess, taking a liking to the king. At first, Katie didn't like that idea at all. The thought of potentially marrying a newly-widowed king was not in her book. However, the more her father as well as other people talked about this king, the more interested the young woman would get. However, she knew that by the end of the day, all the curiosity of this mysterious widowed king would come to an end. She was finally getting the chance to meet him, and she was nervous.

Outside of a meager home was eighteen-year-old Willow, tending to her family's large garden with her older sister and younger brother. She barely lifted her head when she heard the hooves of the prince's horse because hoof beats were common in the village. That is, until she heard her brother call out, "Look Willow, Nina! It's Prince Ezra!" Her head snapped up, her hazel eyes locking onto the prince atop his horse as he rode by. She was a beautiful girl, possessing a thick mane of chocolate colored locks, large eyes, and a radiant smile. Her figure was slim, but with a decent amount of curves in the appropriate places. The beauty was obscured slightly, however, by the layer of dirt on her visible skin from working the soil. She averted her eyes, feeling suddenly embarrassed to be seen by the handsome prince when she looked her worst.

King Killian Williams was perched upon his horse as he rode towards the residence of Katherine and her family, his face fixed into its usual indifferent expression. He was an excellent king- in that there was no doubt- but since his wife had died, he was a shell of himself. He could put on an excellent front, but behind the scene, he was distant and obviously hurting. No one knew this besides himself for fear of his people thinking he was weak, so though he most often appeared calm and collected, he had a tendency to lash out at others. He was in front of the place within a few minutes and swiftly slid off his horse. He hoped that everything he'd heard about Katherine was true and that she would like him so he didn't have to go home alone. He was tired of being alone.

(Sorry for not replying sooner, it was a little crazy over the weekend. But awesome intro!)

Eric gracefully rode his horse, smiling at the town's people as he made his way through the little village. While he was riding, he couldn't help but get the glimpse of a rather beautiful young woman. He smiled at her, making direct eye contact as he rode by. Once he rode by her, Eric softly guided his horse to come to a stop. Once the horse stopped, Eric gently got off, and tired the horse to a post. He made sure that the animal was safely secure before making his way among the people. Nodding and saying hello to people as he walked by, Eric was rather impressed at how everyone was being so calm with him being out and about in the village. Checking on several people throughout the village, Eric started to make his way back towards the one young woman he caught a glimpse of; this time by foot. When he approached her, seeing that she was outside with what presumed was her brother by the similar features, Eric looked to the girl. "Hello Miss." He said with a charming smile.

Katherine hummed softly to herself as she quietly paced the halls of the castle. Her mind filled with endless wonder about this mysterious, newly-widowed king that her father had pre-arranged for her to meet. Never in her wildest dreams did Katherine ever think that her father would potentially want her to marry some creepy, old man; however, some times things didn't always go the way that some people had expected them to be. When one of the servants walked up to her asking if she needed anything, Katherine politely turned them down...telling them that she was perfectly fine and to just make sure to inform her when their guests arrived. She then proceeded to pace the hallways. She was just patiently waiting for someone to tell her that the king was here and that it was time for her to meet him.
