Greyson's hand stung but he refused to show that as tears filled his eyes. He tried so hard not to let them fall as he stared at the man he loved. Why? It was the one work that ran through his mind as he watched the hand print flare red on Riley's face. "Get out." He breathed, stepping back slightly, clenching his hands into two small fists. He was hurt and he was pissed and he couldn't stand the sight of boyfriend.He clenched his jaw as the first tear of many rolled down his cheek."Get out." He said a little stronger.

Riley hadn't been expecting Greyson to slap him. Sure, he'd been expecting something but not that. Never that. He gingerly pressed his own hand to the spot where Greyson had slapped him, his eyes widening slightly. "You bitch," he hissed quietly at his ex-boyfriend, before turning on his heel and leaving behind the one person he'd regret cheating on. He should have realized Greyson would've smelt another man's cologne on his clothes when he had returned at three in the morning. But he hadn't, and now they were no longer a couple. He returned to the man who he had cheated with, and ended up starting to date him instead.

Riley hadn't been expecting Greyson to slap him. Sure, he'd been expecting something but not that. Never that. As soon as the door closed Greyson let the tears free. He had thought Riley would be different from his exes but, as usual, he thought wrong. He crawled into bed and it seemed as if he never left it after that. His best friend Carlie was worried and just as pissed at Riley. She spent most of her days at Greyson's apartment, force feeding him and making sure he got up to go to work in the mornings. "He's an asshole and I'm tired of letting him ruin my life." Greyson said stepping into the kitchen. He took the cup of coffee from Carlie, who just gave him a small smile.

It wasn't until months later that Riley realized how much he needed Greyson. His new boyfriend, Joshua, turned out to be abusive and controlling. Riley just needed a way out. He found himself at Greyson's door, sporting a black eye and a cut above his eyebrow. He had to convince Greyson to give him another chance, he had to.

Greyson frowned when he heard the knock on his door. He wasn't expecting anyone over anytime soon. He set his cup of coffee on the counter and went to answer in.He gasped and covered his mouth when he saw Riley's face. "What the hell happened to you?" He asked and he gently pulled his ex inside and led him to the bathroom. He started to clean up the cut as he listened to Riley's story, worry filling his eyes.

Riley wasn't expecting Greyson to be so worried about him. He had been expecting the other to slam the door in his face, but it hadn't happened. "Don't worry about me," he mumbled, refusing to tell his ex the story. He really didn't know why he had come here. It wasn't like he had broken up with Joshua.

Greyson frowned when Riley refused to tell him what was going on. "You know, it's really hard to help you when you won't even talk to me. Then again I shouldn't have expected anything different." He said, muttering the last thing to himself. He finished bandaging Riley and stepped back crossing his arms and studying Riley's face. He bit his lip after a moment and went back the the kitchen to finish his coffee.

Riley frowned at Greyson's words. "I don't want you to get hurt," he protested, following after Greyson. His eyes were wide in shock. "You don't understand, love," he murmured, shaking his head, "If Josh found out I told you, he'd..." His voice trailed off when he realized what he had just said.

Greyson stared down at his mug., tears threatening to fill his eyes. He knew that Riley had cheated but he had still hoped he wouldn't go running off with him. "You say that you don't want me to get hurt but you are the one who cheated. You are the one who showed up unannounced, bleeding with a black eye." Greyson clenched his jaw. "It seems to me that you and this Josh person are perfect for each other." As soon as he said it, he regret ever word. He was hurt but it was obvious that Riley's current situation was far more serious than Greyson's own petty jealousy.

Riley nodded. "It was obviously a mistake for me to come here," he whispered, "I don't know what I was thinking." He turned from Greyson again, shaking slightly. News of him coming here would have reached Josh by now - Josh had spies everywhere, and he knew he needed to return back to the apartment he was forced to live in. "Bye, Greyson," he mumbled, his voice cracking. Greyson would never take him back, even if he broke up with Josh.

Greyson gave a short nod. "I agree." He said and walked Riley to the door. "Bye." He said quietly and closed the door. He leaned back against the wall as small sobs shook his body. He was pissed again. Pissed at Greyson, pissed at himself for the things he said, and pissed at whoever Josh was for hitting Riley.

Riley had learned not to fight back, not to cry or make any noises when Josh was beating him. If he fought back or cried, it only served to make Josh increase his punishment. But this time, Josh had found a way to make Riley fight against him. "I wonder if your little Greyson would enjoy me paying him a visit," Josh mused when Riley stepped inside the apartment. "N-no. Don't h-hurt him," Riley gasped out, his eyes widening. Josh raised an eyebrow at Riley. "We've discussed that you are never to talk back to me," he said, a snarl lacing his voice. He moved before Riley could, and pinned the younger against the wall with his body. Riley spat in his face, which angered Josh and he handcuffed Riley to the bed they shared, stripping his clothes off. Riley whimpered, fighting against the cuffs. "Leave Greyson alone," he cried out, even as Josh whipped his bare skin.

Greyson returned to his kitchen, finishing his coffee and crying. He felt terrible. It wasn't like him to be such a bitch to people who were obviously hurting. Guilt was eating away at him and he did the one thing he didn't think he would do again. He picked up his phone and tried to call Riley, hoping to apologize for the awful things he had said instead of just being there for Riley.

Josh stopped whipping Riley when he heard his boyfriend's phone ring. He smirked, leaving Riley a broken mess on the bed and went to answer the phone. "Hmmm, you know Riley has your number saved as 'My Love' in his phone," he told Greyson. In the background, Greyson could hear Riley's soft whimpers.

Greyson was shocked to hear someone other than Riley answer the phone. "Who is this?" He asked, worry lacing his voice as he heard the whimpering in the background. "Where is Riley?" He asked.

Josh laughed, smirking, though Greyson couldn't see him. "You must be Greyson. I'm Josh. Riley is, well, unable to come to the phone right now." He hung up on Greyson and went over to undo Riley's handcuffs. "Poor baby," he cooed, "Maybe you'll think before you call on ex-boyfriends."

Greyson stared at the phone in stunned silence. He had no idea where Riley was staying now so there was no way for him to report it. With a frustrated groan he called Carlie, who promptly showed up to listen to his problem. "I don't even know why you care." She said. "The man left you for that asshole. From where I stand it's as good as he gets." She shrugged as she said this. Greyson sighed and wrapped his arms around his stomach.

Riley paid no attention to Josh's warning, and started leaving flowers and chocolate for Greyson. He was desperate to try and win Greyson back, as he wouldn't be able to leave Josh if he didn't have someone else he could turn to.;
