Kallie sighed softly as she typed away on her keyboard, trying to somehow finish this new story about The Flash before Iris kicked her butt. She just needed one more bit of information before she could submit her story. Kallie bit down on her bottom lip as she heard something come over her police scanner, reaching over and slowly turning up the volume. She knew that where there was trouble, there would be The Flash. She grinned, quickly jotting down information to the location of the scene before grabbing her stuff and running out the door. She needed to get there and see him. She had to get as much information as she could. She wanted to find out his name, who he was, what his favorite color was. How he moved, or why he was the way he was. Kallie quickly ran down the street, gasping when she felt a gust of wind and a flash of light go by her. She giggled to herself, knowing that it was The flash. She took off in that direction, wanting to follow him and watch him in action. But she knew that she was going to end up being to late. She needed to be one step ahead in order to see him, but she jut wasn't sure how.

Kallie Everson's interest in The Flash was no secret to Barry. He knew that she worked with Iris, though he'd only met her a handful of times as Barry. As The Flash, well, that was a completely different story, and that was putting it lightly. You know how people say that some people are just in the wrong place at the wrong time? That was Kallie. It wasn't a single instance though. In fact, it happened rather frequently. Where there was a new metahuman, there was the petite brunette. He, well, The Flash, had tried telling her on several different occasions that she needed to be more careful, but she just never seemed to listen. Now, on top of everything else he already had on his plate, he had to worry about keeping her out of trouble too. Keeping her out of trouble and getting her out of some rather sticky situations were two very different things, however, and, more often than not, it was the latter of the two. One might think that someone as fast as he was could beat her to it, though she almost always seemed to be one step ahead of him, oddly enough. Not today though. No, today was one of those rare instances where he managed to get to the metahuman before Kallie did, and, hopefully, that would mean taking care of the situation before she got involved.

Kallie eventually made her way to the scene, her eyes widening at what was before her. Sometimes she saw the strangest things. Ever since that particle accelerator exploded, so many strange things have been happening around Central City. Where ever those strange things were, though, The Flash always managed to be there, helping and trying to contain the situation. Kallie arrived at the scene too late, because before she knew it, it was over and both The Flash and the other man were gone. Kallie groaned, shaking her head and making her way back to the office to shut down her computer and gather her things for the day. She needed a latte from Jitters. After Kallie shut down her computer and gathered her things from work, she made her way over to Jitters with her laptop, getting herself a latte and a table. She opened her laptop, beginning to research hashtags about The Flash, wondering if anyone had seen any new sightings or gathered any new information about him. "Hey, how's your story going?" Iris asked, taking a seat across from Kallie. Kallie sighed, sitting back in her seat and running her fingers through her hair. "I just need a few more details about him and I'm finished. I'm not entirely sure how i'll ever be able to have a conversation with him though," she said with a groan, shaking her head. She just wanted to ask him a few questions.

Thankfully, Barry seemed to have arrived long before the nosey reporter did. In fact, she only just showed up as he had taken care of the metahuman. Looked like he'd managed to keep her out of trouble for once instead of having to get her out of yet another sticky situation. Maybe if he tried talking to her again, he could convince her just how dangerous what she was dabbling with could be. It was a long-shot, but definitely worth trying again he supposed. After heading back to Star Labs, he remembered that he'd told Iris he might pop into Jitters while she was working. Not wanting to go back on his word, he headed on down, figuring he could use a cup of coffee anyway. Stepping inside, he glanced around, noticing his best friend was conversing with an all too familiar brunette. Making his way over, he reached where the two were seated just as Kallie let out a frustrated groan. "Long day?" He questioned, punctuating his words with a raised eyebrow.

Kallie looked up when she heard an familiar voice, biting down on her lower lip when she saw Barry. She nodded, sitting up straight in her chair and running her fingers through her hair. Barry was such an adorable little geek, but he was also Iris' best friend. It made Kallie feel like he was off limits. But that was okay, because her heart belonged to The Flash. "Very," she replied with a small giggle. "I'll get you a coffee, Barry," Iris said with a smile as she got up, making her way back over to the counter to make Barry his coffee. "I've been trying to get this last little bit of information I need for my story about The Flash so I can publish it," Kallie told Barry, frowning slightly. "You wouldn't happen to know anything about him, would you?" she asked with a small laugh. She'd take anything right now. Even if it sounded halfway believable, she'd take it. She just desperately needed to finish this so she can move on to her next piece involving The Flash and the particle accelerator.

Barry sent a small smile Iris' way, nodding in response to his friend's words, before turning back to Kallie. "I don't, sorry." He told her, letting out a quiet laugh. If only she knew just how far from true that really was. Not that she was going to learn the truth. He hadn't even told Iris, and she was supposed to be one of the closest people to him. He couldn't tell her though, he couldn't risk putting her in that kind of danger. He wouldn't forgive himself if something happened because she knew his true identity. "Are you sure you need more information? From what Iris tells me, you're normally pretty thorough." He pulled up a chair, not wanting to steal Iris' in case she still wanted to sit, and took a seat.

Kallie started chewing on the end of her pen, a nervous and unsanitary habit she's picked up over the years. "I do, though. I feel like I'm always going to need more information about The Flash," she said with a groan, hitting her forehead against the table. "I guess I'm just going to have to figure out how to close it out without the last bit I was looking for. Well, I could lie, and say his favorite color is red, since his suit is red. But what if it isn't? What if it's pink or teal?" Kallie had no idea why she was so pressed on finding out his favorite color. She just wanted to know why his suit was red and why he chose the color. Was it him that even chose it? There could be a whole team of people working for him, developing his gadgets and suits. "Here you go, Barry," Iris said, setting Barry's coffee down in front of him before she took her seat again.

"I'm sure your article is still going to be great whether you find out what The Flash's favorite color is or not." Barry assured her. He'd read her other articles, they were technically about him after all, and she was extremely talented. Iris spoke highly of her too, and he was almost certain that she'd been extremely thorough. He doubted that she had anything to worry about it. What she did have to worry about was being more careful, but he couldn't tell her that. The Flash knew that she had a tendency of finding trouble, but Barry didn't. "Thanks, Iris." He said when his friend returned with his coffee, sending a small smile her way.
