We Got Carried Away

Nora woke up with a smile on her face and got ready for her day. It was a normal day, just like any other. She would wake up, get showered and dressed, then go have breakfast with Marcel in the downstairs of the house that she lived in with Marcel. It used to be the Originals' house and I also lived in it but when they left Marcel decided to move in with me and he rebuilt New Orleans once the original family left. Nora never had been the same since Klaus was gone but she kept living and she stayed by Marcel's side as his right hand girl. If it wasn't for Marcel, Nora wasn't sure if she would have stayed in New Orleans after she lost her family.

Elijah sighed as he drove with Klaus and Rebeckah back to New Orleans from Mystic Falls. It had been a long drawn out stay in Mystic Falls that Elijah would be glad if he didn't have again. Though, he would admit that it brought him closer with his family and he was happy about that. Now they were heading back to New Orleans and Elijah could honestly say that he was excited and anxious to finally be able to go back to what he considered one of his favorite homes that he had over his many years of "living". New Orleans was probably one of the best times he had ever had as a vampire, even with his brother throwing his constant temper tantrums every so often.

Klaus was certain that the decision to return to New Orleans would pay off for him and his siblings. Though they had lost some of the people that they had been closest to in the past in New Orleans, there was still so much that he loved about the city. In New Orleans, they had ruled once - and he planned to rule there once again. It would be a safe place for his family and himself and nothing could ruin that. Or, at least, nothing that he could foresee. As long as things went smoothly, then they could settle in New Orleans and call it home once again - that was what he wanted for all of them.

It wasn't really a secret that New Orleans was run over by vampires. Letha had grown up here and it had always been well-known to anybody who actually paid enough attention to notice. And the authority figures just overlooked their presence, which Letha found absolutely ridiculous. With a heavy sigh, she decided to wander around until she could notice any vampires wandering around. Most couldn't come out during the daytime, but she had run into a few who could. It was why she was always prepared, with a stake hidden somewhere on her person - this time, in her boots.

Nora walked downstairs and smiled when she saw Marcel waiting for her at the table. She sat down next to him with a smile. It was their tradition and had been for a few years now. She was happier than normal but she didn't know why, "And how did you sleep?" Marcel asked as Nora filled her plate with food. She shrugged, "I had the dream again." She said with a small frown before she started eating. She had been having the same dream since Klaus left and it was a dream that Mikael hunted down Klaus and killed him as he forced her to watch. Nora hated the dream and it always made her not want to sleep but she also realized it was just that, a dream. She continued to eat her food, signaling to Marcel she didn't want to talk about the dream anymore. Marcel had always known how she felt about Klaus and the day that he left it was a hard day on both of them.

Elijah smiled to himself when he saw a sign that said they were one mile from New Orleans. He was so ready to be home. He hoped this didn't tear him away from his siblings again. He just hoped this time was different. It was time for a new start for everyone. Elijah hoped that this reunion didn't end up being a blood bath but he knew that Klaus was more than prepared if it did end up being one. Elijah was just ready to be back at the old home they had built.

(So, I'm trying to figure out how to get everybody to interact eventually, but I can't think of anything that could get them to meet within the next couple of posts.)

With their return to New Orleans came the chance to enjoy their home and relax once more. Having settled into their new home, Klaus decided that he would go out to find something to busy himself with. As long as he could get away from his siblings for a bit and just relax, he didn't much care what he managed to do. If he could create ties with important people in New Orleans, that would be all the better. He left the house before long and headed to the main square.

Letha was bored. Beyond bored. She had managed to run into a few vampires - new ones, probably, because they had been pretty ravenous and hadn't even tried to control their hunger. They had come after her and it had been relatively easy to dispose of them. But, now, she had nothing to occupy her time and she eventually just wandered the streets a bit.

Nora walked around the quarter by herself. She had been thinking a lot about Klaus lately and needed to be by herself in order to think things through. It had been about ninety two years since she had last seen him and she still wasn't over it. She was in love with him and she had to sit and watch as his father tore apart their home and Klaus just left without her. Without a word. She had never felt heartbreak until that moment and when she felt it she had never felt such pain before. If it wasn't for Marcel she would have turned off her switch just so she didn't have to feel that pain. The pain of losing Klaus.

Elijah sighed as he left the house with his brother, but obviously not going to the same place. It had been too long of a car ride with the both of them and he just needed to get away from them for a little while. He decided to walk around the areas that weren't the quarter. He figured he should stay out of the way of the other vampires there. Less drama if he just stayed out of the big areas.
