Searching the Layouts

I believe I did ask a Mibba moderator about this once before and they told me no -- there is no way to search the current published Mibba (story) layouts.

I don't feel like this is very practical! Is there a way to do it? Because if not, there should be.

For example, if I want a Christmas or winter themed layout for a seasonal story, I don't want to have to search through the 400-odd pages of Mibba story layouts there already are for something that might or might not exist.

Mibba layouts should come with tags the way that the stories do! So if I made and publicly published a winter layout with a girl walking in snow, I should tag that with winter, snow, girl... basic things like that. So that if someone wanted to search for something with snow in it, or a layout that featured a girl, this would pop up. Plain and simple.

I understand this might be hard to implement at this stage with all the current themes that are already floating around but I believe it could be and should be done. It would optimise the site, I think... is anyone else in agreement?

And if there is any way at all to sift through all the layouts bar clicking through page after page, someone please tell me. I think I asked more than one Mibba mod in the past but, as I said, I was told no.

I totally agree. Making layouts is so time consuming for me when all I want to do is write. :/

When you post a layout onto the layout page, Mibba requires you to tag them like how you'd tag a story...but, like, there's no search feature to be able to find them, so there's no point in having them in the first place. It's just so weird.

Exactly! I can make an okay layout myself, but most of the time, I can't be bothered. I'd rather use a layout that someone made because they enjoyed doing it and wanted to do it, but finding them is a hopeless matter.

There are people on Mibba that enjoy making layouts and I am so grateful for them, but it means their amazing work gets lost in the depths of Mibba after a while! So annoying. And I never understood the tags for Mibba layouts either... they can't be searched and they don't get sorted into categories so it really is pointless.

YESSSSSS! I think there needs to be a way for those of us who make custom layouts for others to LINK the layout, that way those of us that have shops can say "HEY HERE'S A PREMADE, FIND IT HERE" and they don't have to scroll through 50 pages.

Exactly! It's really bothersome but I don't know if there's any way to bring it to a moderator and have it modified. It's just not an ideal set-up at all, extremely irritating when you're looking for a layout!
