My Story Ends Not Far From Where It Started

Zacky reached out and gripped her shoulder gently as she started to sway, "Careful, you okay?" He followed her back to the table, sliding into the seat across from her. Brian shot him a look and a smirk. "Oh, shut the hell up for fuck sake already."

Brian laughed loudly at him, causing Zacky to glare at him. Brian held a hand up in defense, "I haven't said shit yet man, but don't get me started." Zacky sighed and looked down at the table as he grabbed his drink and brought it to his lips once more.

Leanne rolled her eyes, wanting to prove herself in a way. She didn't want to be the one that tapped out early because she couldn't hold her liquor. However, she couldn't help but smile at the man. The more she drank, the more attractive he was becoming to her, but she pushed those thought to the back of her mind. "I'll be alright," She promised.

"I'm good, I'm good," Rosalie said, moving Zacky's hand away. She walked back over to the table and slid in next to Jimmy, watching as Zacky slid in across from her. "So what did you and Zacky talk about?" Jimmy whispered in her ear. She could tell by the tone of his voice that he was assuming it had something to do with his stupid little idea.

"It's nothing like what you're thinking, I promise," Rosalie hissed, sticking her elbow in Jimmy's ribs.

"Alright, alright," Matt said, holding up his hands. He chuckled. Looking at Rosalie, he wasn't sure she'd be able to do much for Leanne anyway. "I guess if you want another drink, just let us know. We'll probably be here for awhile longer."

"Yeah, stop trying to ruin the girl's fun, Matt," Johnny put in. "We all need to be drunk by the end of the night, so drink up!"

Zacky watched the interaction between Roasalie and Jimmy unfold in front of him. He had wondered what they were talking about, but allowed it to be pushed to the back of his mind. He was here to hang out with friends and not worry about Rosalie's hostility toward him. He sat his glass down on the table as he looked over at Brian, who looked as though he was almost to the point of "one too many."

Brian gave Zack a smug grin before he began to speak, "So, I think everyone at this table thinks that you two need to relieve some tension between the two of you," he said pointing between Zack and Rosalie. He gave the pair of them a wink, "If ya know what I mean."

Zacky buried his head in his hands, mumbling. "Give it a fucking rest, already..."

Leanne couldn't help but stifle a laugh at the scene unfolding in front of her. She had barley met these people earlier that day and it was a little silly how they all bickered. She looked over to Matt, leaning her head back, not realizing she was resting it against his arm. She laughed softly, "I don't think I want another drink anyways, rather be sober to remember all this."

"It's pretty obvious what you're insuinuating, but the two of us aren't gonna fuck," Rosalie said, fixing Brian with a glare. "So you can get that little idea out of your heads. Where the fuck did you get that idea, anyway?"

"Rosie, a blind man could see it," Jimmy put in. "Seriously though, it would make things a lot better for everyone if the two of you just did it."

"Well I think you're already had too much to drink to be considered sober," Matt said. She was definitely at least tipsy. With his free hand, Matt reached for his drink and slammed the rest back, quickly getting a waitress' attention to order a new one. He, like the rest of the guys, drank to get drunk. He curled his arm around Leanne's shoulder just slightly, trying to bend his elbow, brushing his fingers against her shoulder.

Zacky nearly choked on his drink hearing all of the words. But between the alcohol and confusion, a burning question seared the tip of his tongue, beckoning to be asked out loud. He stared at Rosalie for a moment, wondering if he should even open the can of worms at that point and time. But then again, the liquid courage had began to delve its way into his system regardless, so he spoke. "Rosalie, what would be so bad about having sex with me anyways? You act like I am the scum of the fucking earth, seriously."

Leanne skin burnt with a unusual sensation where Matt's finger tips had ever so slightly touched her skin. What was her problem? She was normally pretty good about making her thoughts of attractive men subside, because the last time she didn't it turned into a one night stand, which turned into a two year relationship, which then in turn ended up breaking her heart in a million places. She scooted, barley enough to even be seen, slightly in the opposite direction of Matt. "Sorry if I'm in your way of getting comfortable," she said in a small voice.

"It's not that Zack, Jesus Christ," Rosalie said. She couldn't believe they were having this conversation right now. Well, at all, actually. "You need to stop putting words in my mouth. But you can't deny that you and I don't get along. And sex isn't a band-aid. It doesn't just magically fix your problems. Sometimes it makes them worse. And the last thing we need is for things to get worse between us."

"You're fine, don't worry," Matt assured her. He hadn't missed the fact that she'd scooted away from him, if only slightly. "If you feel like going back to the hotel before we're ready to go, just let us know and I'm sure somebody will be happy to take you back to your room." Matt thanked the waitress when she returned to his drink and immediately drank almost half of it. He knew the guys would probably want to hit at least one more place and he didn't want to keep the girls out any longer than they wanted to be out.

Zacky rolled his eyes at her. He wasat completely sure why he was even entertaining the idea. Sure, Rosalie was an extremely beautiful girl, but he didn't like her, right? At least that's what he thought... "I'm done with this converatstation, it's all bullshit anyways. All of this is bullshit."

Brian laughed loudly once more, "Oh come on Zacky, don't be such a baby about the whole thing. We all know it's going to happen at some point."

Leanne shook her head, "Nah, I'm down for whatever really. I'm probably just gonna slow my roll on the drinking for a little while is all." She pulled her phone out of her purse, browsing her social media. She felt slightly awkward. All these people had a relationship and it kind of made her feel somewhat like an outcast.

"You're the one who started the conversation, but whatever," Rosalie said, smirking at Zacky. It was pretty funny to see him so worked up over this, although she couldn't really understand why he was in the first place. Unless...did Zacky want to sleep with her? Rosalie shook her head. There was no way.

"I agree with Brian," Jimmy put in. "I'm telling you, if the two of you just try it, I'm sure you'll like it. It's been awhile since you've gotten laid anyway, Rosie."

"Jimmy."

"Alright, whatever you want," Matt said. He looked over Leanne's shoulder, seeing that she was on her phone. He could tell she was feeling awkward or bored, and he wanted to fix that. "But before you do that, how about we all take a shot together? I saw some hundred proof back there that'll probably knock everybody back on their ass."

Jimmy slapped the table, nearly upsetting a few drinks. "I'm fucking down man, you know I'm always fucking down."

Zacky rolled his eyes and mumbled under his breath about how condescending she always was. There was no need for it, and he decided just to ignore her for the rest of the time they we out. "Hell yeah, get me another fucking shot and another drink stat. God knows I fucking need it."

Brian chuckled, "Looks like someone has their panties in a bunch again,"

"Oh shut the fuck up," Zacky retorted.

Leanne smiled as Matt had another round of shots brought over. She threw her s back like a champ and raised her eyebrows as Johnny began to ask her a question.

"So, Leanne, are you single or... what?" He said with a sly smirk. She nodded her head, answering his question. She turned to Matt next.

"Is it always like this?" She asked in a hushed voice.

"You need to fucking calm down," Rosalie said to Jimmy, laughing. She took the shot Matt slid to her and slammed it back, shaking her head as the alcohol burned its way down to her stomach. "Shit, that's harsh. But I'll take another." Rosalie was quickly becoming intoxicated, but she didn't care. She knew the guys would take care of her.

"You guys about ready to change venues?" Brian asked, sliding his empty shot glass to the middle of the table.

"It's just because they're drunk," Matt said to Leanne. "They're not this bad when they're sober." Still, Matt reached out and slugged Johnny in the shoulder, earning a whine of pain from his friend. Johnny was making Leanne uncomfortable and he needed to cut it out, even if the question he'd just asked her was one Matt had had on his mind as well.

"I'm ready if everyone else is," Matt said. He and Brian seemed to be the most sober, so they'd have to help everyone to the taxis.

Zack pushed himself out of the booth as everyone began to exit the bar. He had been very excited about bar hopping when the proposition had first arose that evening, but part of him was just longing to get to bed. He ran a hand through his hair as he stood around with everyone else waiting for the taxi. Brian made his way over to him and began talking in a hushed voice.

"Are you sure you don't see anything happening between you and Rosalie?" Brian inquired quietly.

Zacky shook his head with a raised eyebrow, "Can't you see that the girl hates me? Even after I throw up my white flag, I'm still the bad guy around here.:

Leanne made her way outside with everyone else. She knew it was only a matter of time before she felt comfortable around everyone, so she really tried not to worry about the separate conversations that where going on. She reached into her small clutch purse and pulled out her cigarettes and lighter, and lit one up. She stepped away fromt he group slightly, not wanting to offend anyone who may have not been comfortable with cigarette smoke.

"Jimmy, I can't hold you up, you're too heavy," Rosalie said, shoving Jimmy away. She could barely hold herself up, let alone support Jimmy's weight as well. But he had too tight of a grip on her arm and she couldn't shake him away.

"Rosalie, I gotta tell you something," Jimmy whispered. "Zacky likes you, I know."

Rosalie rolled her eyes. "When are you guys gonna drop that shit?" Zacky doesn't like me, he hates me. Even when I try, he takes it the wrong way."

After a few seconds, Matt realized that Leanne had stepped away from the group. "Hey, what are you doing over here all by yourself?" he asked. He noticed she was smoking. "If you're worried about bothering anybody with your smoke, don't. I'm the only one who doesn't smoke and I've gotten used to it. And the taxi is gonna be here soon, so why don't you come back over?" Matt placed his hand on Leanne's lower back and gently led her back over to the group.

Zacky huffed as he stood around looking at everyone. No matter what he did, something always had to ruin his time. And now, he had begun to second guess his feelings for the one girl who treated him like garbage. She was beautiful, no doubt about it. She was funny, and smart, and creative... Hell yes, he was attracted to her, but the way she treated him made him feel like dirt on the ground.

Leanne smiled over at Matt, thinking kindly of the way he was trying to continue to make her feel part of the group. She looked over at Johnny who was eyeing her again. She leaned into Matt slightly, hoping he wouldn't notice. She tossed her cigarette butt on the ground, tapping it out with her shoe. "Sorry," she mumbled as Matt looked down at her.

"I'm gonna show you," Jimmy said. "I'm gonna show both of you."

Rosalie rolled her eyes. Jimmy was drunk; he wouldn't remember any of this in the morning. "Whatever you say, Jim," she said. A few minutes later the taxis arrived and Jimmy dragged her over to one, shoving her in next to Zacky. "Jimmy, what the fuck are you doing?" She looked over at Zacky. "Sorry about this." She jerked her thumb at Jimmy, who had squeezed in next to her. "This fuckwad shoved me."

"You're all good," Matt told her. The taxis showed up soon after that, and Matt helped Leanne into one, squeezing in with her and Johnny. He leaned his head back against the seat, closing his eyes and barely listening to Johnny talk to Leanne. He wasn't drunk, but he was definitely buzzed, and if he kept up his pace he'd be drunk by the end of the night. Sensing that Leanne and Johnny's conversation had waned, Matt sat up. "How much you wanna bet someone's gonna have to practically carry Jimmy back to the hotel room?" Matt said, laughing.

Zacky shrugged his shoulders, giving her half a smile. He placed his arm on the seat behind her, trying his best not to make contact with her shoulders. He was slightly fearful of the woman, and everyone knew it. "Sorry, it is a tight squeeze in here..." He trailed off as he pulled his eyes away from her.

The full effects of the alcohol had taken place with Leanne, and now she was wanting to drink more. She actually envied the state that Jimmy was in, she wanted to loosen up and have as good of a time as everyone else. "Fuck, I need to get on Jimmy's level right now and have someone carry the both of us back into the hotel rooms."

"Yeah, it's a little tight," Rosalie agreed, giving Jimmy a hard stare. He retaliated by making kissing noises in her ear and she shoved his face over against the window, causing him to laugh. Jimmy then shoved her back, pushing her hard against Zacky. "Jimmy, I'm gonna fucking murder you if you don't knock it off."

"Nah, you love me," he said.

"Sorry again," Rosalie said to Zacky. She noticed that his arm was now draped over her shoulder, probably due to Jimmy. "Like I said before, Jimmy's a fuckwad."

"We can definitely make that happen," Johnny said to Leanne. "And I'll even let you sleep in my room, if you want."

"I think it would be best if she slept in Rosalie's room," Matt said pointedly. "Or, you know, her own." Matt knew Johnny was drunk and that's the only reason he was acting like this, but it was getting on Matt's nerves, and he was sure Leanne didn't exactly appreciate it, either.

When they arrived at the next bar, Matt helped Leanne out of the cab and led her over to where everyone else was congregating. "I think we're getting a VIP room here," Brian announced excitedly.

Zacky rolled his eyes at Jimmy antics, almost too sure of what he was trying to do. He gave Rosalie a small smile, "It could be worse, couldn't it?" He removed his arms from her shoulder as they pulled up outside of the bar. After everyone had exited the cab, he found himself trailing behind Rosalie. She had abruptly stopped walking and he bumped into her slightly. "Fuck, I'm so sorry." he sighed as he backed up away from her once again. "I need more liquor, stat."

"VIP?" Leanne asked as she looked over at Brian. Brian nodded his head at her with a smile. She looked up at Matt as they continued to walk towards the entrance still curious about what was going on. "Let me know if I am bothering you by sticking to your side so much, I can go mingle elsewhere."

"You're fine," Rosalie mumbled. She'd bent down to pick up her phone that she'd dropped on the ground. "Me too, we should order some shots when we get inside." She followed Zacky inside, somehow ending up next to him when they sat down at the table in the VIP room. Jimmy sat on the other side of her, and Rosalie couldn't help but roll her eyes, knowing he'd have something to say about her and Zacky.

"You're fine, don't worry about it," Matt assured her. He grinned. "I'd rather have you sticking close than one of the guys, they're all a pain in the ass when they're drunk." Matt helped Leanne inside and slid into a seat across from Jimmy. "Who's down for another round of shots?" Matt asked, looking around at everyone. Everyone seemed to like the idea, so Matt ordered a round of shots of Jack Daniels for the group.

Zacky took two of the shots that were served to them, keeping one for himself and passing the other off to Rosalie. He tapped his shot glass on the table and made a "cheers" motion to Rosalie before tossing the liquid back. He grimaced slightly, forgetting exactly how much of a burn that Jack Daniels had. "Fuck man," he said as he slid the small glass into the center of table. "Shit has a little kick to it, more that I remembered."

Leanne smiled as she was passed another shot, wondering just how many more it would take before she may end up doing something she regretted. As the night continued on, she found herself practically clinging to Matt's side. Brian stepped in for a moment, pulling her away from the older man.

"Let's walk and get a beer, shall we?" He asked her. She nodded in a agreement as she followed him and he began to speak, "I take it you are developing a little crush on Sanders?"

Leanne shook her head, but couldn't keep the drunk grin off her face, "Not exactly."

"Oh, don't be a pussy," Rosalie teased, grinning at Zacky. Now that she was starting to get a little drunk, it was becoming surprisingly easy to be nicer to Zacky. She looked around at the group. Suddenly an idea popped into her head. "Since everybody's wanting to get drunk, how about we all go shot for shot?" she suggested. "And we'll see who can last the longest."

"And no making throw up noises like last time," Johnny put in, glaring at Jimmy.

Matt watched Brian as he led Leanne away. Surprisingly, Matt wasn't worried about Brian's intentions; it was Johnny he was worried about for once. But he still couldn't help but feel a little protective, since Leanne had been attached to his side all night. And he'd enjoyed that. It had been a long time since he'd had a beautiful woman so close to him, not since he broke up with Val. He just hoped Brian brought her back in one piece.
